Thought I would make a thread for those due in March 2027, I joined a thread for my previous rainbow pregnancy in 2022 and I found it so helpful. I found out this week that I am pregnant with my second rainbow baby, after losing my first baby at 29 weeks. I am feeling incredibly anxious, more so than in my first pregnancy after my loss. Wishing everyone a smooth pregnancy ahead 🤞🏼

EDD 12th March over here. I’m almost 40 and this is my second pregnancy. Feeling a bit sick already but not sure if that’s just shock!

If anyone else has been doing multiple clearblue digitals, how long are you leaving it before you do another test to see the difference in weeks?

got my BFP on Tuesday but didn’t do a clearblue digital until the Thursday. Going by my LMP I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow so clearblue should say 2-3 right? Or do I wait until Thursday so it’s a week between the tests?

I bought a two pack today so hopefully I can see a 2-3 and a 3+ but they cost a small fortune so don’t want to be wasting them! 🤪

I got a 1-2 weeks on Friday and today got a 2-3 weeks. I am 14dpo so exactly 4 weeks today.
From previous experience (my last pregnancy that unfortunately ended in a loss) the digitals can leave you questioning everything, as it took me 15 days to go from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks. And I’ve read about some women not getting a 3+ until they’re 8 weeks+! But have gone on to have healthy pregnancy.
They also always say FMU but mine is usually more diluted as I drink a lot through the evening and into the night, if you’re collecting your urine in a cup make sure it’s a darker colour as it’ll be more concentrated ☺️

@Wishedfor2021 I never got 2-3 with my son and so I stopped using the dating clearblue ones for my sanity!

Has anyone had a beta taken? I've got my first tomorrow (IVF pregnancy) and I have no idea what to expect. My doctor isn't here most communicative so I don't really expect a good explanation.

Ah that’s good to know, thank you! I may give one a go tomorrow morning and hopefully it’s progressed to 2-3 🤞🏼 that’s what I’m nervous about that it’ll still say 1-2 and it’ll drive me crazy with anxiety!

I’m six weeks today, I feel so weak and exhausted. Slept on and off this afternoon. No nausea just yet. How is everyone feeling?

It did with me with my last one, because it took so long. The baby was fine and growing and saw a heartbeat but I was actively bleeding due to low progesterone 🫤 unfortunately didn’t get intervention soon enough. So if you don’t see that 2-3 it doesn’t mean something is wrong, some just produce a lot of hcg earlier on than others ☺️

They are basically checking that your hCG doubles over 48 hours. So the first number doesn’t matter so much, it’s the doubling rate that indicates a healthy pregnancy. I’m sure there is info online though of what is a normal range according to your DPT.

I’m 4 weeks today and over the last few days the exhaustion has really hit me. I’ve been napping most afternoons if my 3yr old will allow it 🤣 I had nausea really bad last week but has settled right down, I get it on and off but very mild. Started getting headaches and heavy 👻🐝.
You might be one of the lucky ones and not get any nausea at all 😂

it’s hard to rest with little ones around…I have a very energetic 18 month old who doesn’t understand mummy needs a rest! Glad your nausea has settled down. I didn’t get much nausea in my last pregnancy so fingers crossed it’s the same this time round…

It must also be psychological right, because right after that positive test I am convinced I have developed symptoms 🤣 my husband thinks I'm mad as last two days have seen me with sore boobs, heightened sense of smell, mild nausea.. 🙈
I keep saying to myself to just try and be happy about it. But deep down first trimester is hell on earth with all the unknown.

Not sure if my daughter doesn’t understand or just doesn’t care 🤣

Hopefully will be the same this time around! I thought I was safe with my daughter as had no symptoms at all with her, then I hit 9 weeks and the nausea was overwhelming! I was just constantly eating to curb the nausea 😂

I’m 6 weeks today too 🥰 absolutely with you on feeling exhausted, I’ve got pregnancy insomnia really bad already and it’s driving me mad 😩 I didn’t have any nausea in my other pregnancies either but I am getting some on and off this time which is new to me!

Tested on an old expired test last night after crying because I was taking too long to cook dinner and got a squinter of a line.

I ended up deliverooing a Clearblue today after much encouragement from my sept 2019 babies mumsnet friends and here I am at 1-2 weeks Pregnant!

I’m 38, have two kids already (8 and 6) and divorced from their dad, but my partner has no bio kids and we decided to start trying just under a month ago so I’m amazed this has happened so fast.

We go on holiday to France on Thursday with my in laws, so no wine or Brie for me! I’m very excited to be doing this again though

Okay the exhaustion has finally hit me. I do alright getting through the day but when I get home I feel like a zombie. I'm supposed to be running 3 times a week at the minute and right now the thought of doing the dog walk seems like hard work. I'll still do it, because I have to. But I don't want to.

Oh my goodness, there’s no way I could be running at the moment. The thought of it makes me feel sick! 😅 my heart is pounding enough just resting in this heat. The heat is really not helping with the exhaustion and nausea I’m finding 😩 I feel so tired all the time too so I can definitely sympathise with how you’re feeling.

And I feel you @ImpatientlyTryingToConceive, I’m usually a runner, go at least weekly with my run club but I’m not sure I can face it tomorrow when it’s going to be warmer than this.

I’m struggling most with this early stage of not letting people know. I’m older than my partner and so he’s worried about my being ‘geriatric’ in NHS terms - I don’t want to wait to tell friends and family (I’ve had two healthy pregnancies before and never had a miscarriage) but he’s fixated on the stats of it all going wrong and doesn’t want to share any news until we have at least had a scan and seen a heartbeat etc

So something to consider discussing with your partner is that telling at least one close friend and/or family member will mean you have someone to lean on if the worst should happen.
I'm dying to tell my mom (wainting until we see her in person - just 2 weeks to go) not only so I can share concerns with certain symptoms/sensations but also because if anything goes wrong I will habe someone to cry to or vent to or whatever I might need in the moment.

The heat isn't too bad up in Yorkshire at the minute (for me at least).

I’m all for telling family, my sisters have both had miscarriages and I would have know as soon as they had a positive test, so it feels wrong to keep this from them.

Think we need a proper chat tonight once the kids are in bed to discuss who we can put in the inner circle

@LaBelleSausage I agree. It's such a big secret to keep to yourself. I can't wait to tell my best friends but my husband also wants to wait until we've told our parents

Yes it's tricky to know who to tell. I've only told my partner and 3 NCT mums as they'd be really nice and supportive if it doesn't work out. With our second we did an early scan and saw a heartbeat so told more people after that. Feel like time moves sooo slowly in this period

We didn't tell anyone until after our miscarriages and I really regretted never sharing positive news with people. We missed out on getting to be happy about it!

We're at really high risk for ectopic so even if we told people now it wouldn't be totally happy news, so waiting till our first scan.

Really sorry about your miscarriages and your risk level@Thomsonetthompson. Fingers crossed for you this time around.

My partner also wants to wait for a scan, and potentially also NIPS results before we tell anyone. He’s not usually a worrier but given that we only decided to try for a baby a month ago, I think he’s convinced that something will go wrong as this is too easy.

I think I’m a lot more relaxed as this is baby 3 for me, and the other two pregnancies were plain sailing (although the most recent was 7 years ago!)

Anyone else’s nausea kicking their butts? I’ve had nausea since before I found out I was pregnant, but then it settled down but today it’s hit me out of nowhere. I thought I was feeling nauseous as hadn’t eaten anything yet, so thought I’d have an apple.. 10 mins later and I think that apple is about to make its way back up 🤢
