Thought I would make a thread for those due in March 2027, I joined a thread for my previous rainbow pregnancy in 2022 and I found it so helpful. I found out this week that I am pregnant with my second rainbow baby, after losing my first baby at 29 weeks. I am feeling incredibly anxious, more so than in my first pregnancy after my loss. Wishing everyone a smooth pregnancy ahead 🤞🏼

Glad to hear I’m not the only one struggling with sleeping at night! Last night was awful for me - I was having a repetitive dream for what felt like all night, kept waking up at the same point and tossing and turning…. I feel knackered today.

I’ve been having odd bouts of nausea but nothing major. My appetite is something else! But the only thing I really fancy eating are mini cheddars (same as my last pregnancy)!

@stellarfox i like the idea of a FB group but maybe once I’m past 12 weeks and have announced to my wider network! X

FlipFlopZebra · 02/07/2026 17:52

I’m also struggling with sleep! Got to bed fine woke around 3am and couldn’t get back to sleep :(

No sickness yet just moments of feeling nauseous and having to eat some toast 😆 fortunately work we’re giving out free tins of boiled sweets today that were ideal for those moments I get a bit off!

Also booked my early scan for 8 weeks today and caved in and also booked the gender blood test too! I just want to get organised and know what clothes I can keep from our last baby!

i’m struggling with my sleep too, i can drop off early ish around 9-9:30 but i’m always waking up throughout the night. especially for a wee 😩😂

I’m the exact same I wake up at 3am for a wee and then hit and miss how quick I fall back to sleep !x

Lucky444 · 02/07/2026 17:57

@FlipFlopZebra I didn’t even think about the gender blood test , have you had one before such a good idea to get organised x

IThinkImThirtySomething · 02/07/2026 18:05

@FlipFlopZebra i was looking at booking an early scan but it was £75 and my husbands car went kaput yesterday so just need to save as much money as we can really.

im also starting to save for my maternity leave so just told myself I need to be patient 🙊

do you have a girl or boy already? I have a 6y/o little boy and have so much of his stuff still in the loft - I’d love another boy but would also be thrilled with a girl this time to have one of each. I’m so excited to tell my son - he will be a fab big bro x

No, I didn’t realise they were a thing until this pregnancy and it popped up as an option when I booked the scan. Last time we did a gender scan at 16 weeks I think.

Im also really impatient and want to know, it’ll also take me forever to decide on a name do figured this gives me a bit more time 😆

It is a lot of money :( 8 weeks falls on our wedding anniversary so I figured it can be our present to eachother. Sometimes I wish I wasn’t so impatient 😆

Got a little girl who is 2.5 yo can’t wait for her to be a big sister either I think it’s actually the part I’m looking forward to the most seeing her meet baby for the first time ❤️

I feel a bit like you that I’m not too fussed I think a girl would be lovely but also would be lovely to have one of each

Lucky444 · 02/07/2026 18:17

@IThinkImThirtySomething @FlipFlopZebra when do youse start buying things how many weeks do you start like 30 weeks plus or less I have no idea haha xx

Longbin · 02/07/2026 18:24

I usually start buying everything at 12 weeks!

Lucky444 · 02/07/2026 18:26

@Longbin
okay that’s good then! I’ve seen some people say they waited until quite late on I wouldn’t be able to wait that long I like to be organised 😂

PrettyPleaseXo · 02/07/2026 18:31

Messed up and brought another CB Digital today and it’s still showing 1-2 weeks at 4w2D I need to stop buying them

Longbin · 02/07/2026 18:34

@PrettyPleaseXomine was still 1-2 too at 4+2 so I have stopped doing them now

smokestacklightning · 02/07/2026 19:11

I'm also thinking ahead wondering when to buy things, in my culture we don't buy anything for the baby until 7 months or even after birth but I know that's so impractical I'm just going to have to work out what feels right for me. I love to be organised too!

I think most of it was around 30 week mark like pram, car seat etc. but some little things definitely snuck in around the 12 week mark like Baby grows and blankets

Hopefulmama21 · 02/07/2026 19:25

Has anyone else been flat out in bed by 6pm all week? 🥲

I am absolutely EXHAUSTED, I do have a cold but they never usually wipe me out like this. Thankfully my youngest is very happy to hang out in bed before her bedtime or I'd be really struggling.

yes and I’m still very early, how far along are you . I’ve been shopping today and came back and I’ve just been chilling on the sofa usually I’d still be go go go . I’m also continuously hungry never felt so hungry . I eat and 1 hour later I’m hungry again

Wishedfor2021 · 02/07/2026 19:32

@Lucky444 thank you, congratulations to you also! 🥰 They are 5 and (just turned) 2. Our 5 year olds birthday is at the start of March so we might end up with birthdays very close together!

I’ve been SO tired today! Also, is anyone else experiencing headaches? 😬

MamaB12 · 02/07/2026 19:39

if i’m wide awake tonight i’ll be messaging in this group to see if anyone is awake😩😂

Edited

@smokestacklightning yes I can imagine that to be tricky when you want to get yourself organised however when I am out and about and I see people pram shopping etc they appear to be quite far on

Hopefulmama21 · 02/07/2026 19:45

@Lucky444 I'm just over 5 weeks from my last period now. I've been feeling like a zombie at work

MamaB12 · 02/07/2026 20:05

has anyone here got ovary cyst?
my last scan for the MC they found one, i just don’t know what to expect this time round

mumtrovert · 02/07/2026 20:34

This thread is moving fast!

I bought after about 20 weeks with my DS. Nursery furniture, pram, next to me, etc. I liked being able to do his nursery, put the cot up etc. We had that finished quite early on. I just bought everything big all at the same time so I had it. We started buying clothes from 12 weeks. I remember after our scan going and buying our first ever babygrow, it was so special and surreal!!

Echo everyone else on the tiredness! 😴 luckily I’m sleeping fine during the night too. But I’m generally a very good sleeper!

IThinkImThirtySomething · 02/07/2026 20:49

@Lucky444 with my first I bought the odd bits and bobs after 12 week scan but waited until after 20 weeks scan when we knew we were having a boy to buy gender specific things. Didn’t buy the pram until 28 weeks but it was on order and got delivered to my mums house at 32 weeks. Nursery furniture I think was quite late too but I’m unorganised and felt like I had loads of time. This time around I still have most of our sons stuff just need a new next2me and a cot mattress, and im
considering the doona for car seat as can also be used as a stroller for quick errands.

@Hopefulmama21 and @MamaB12 if it makes you feel better I’ve been in bed since 8pm 😂 I’m shattered! Will probs be awake at 2am lol! If I am I’ll message on here to see if any one is awake 😝 altho I hope we all get a good night! 😴 x

Congratulations and welcome @stellarfox!

I too joined a Facebook group that came from my previous due date thread, but found that most people preferred a WhatsApp group and the Facebook one is now non-existent, but the WhatsApp is thriving daily even 4.5 years on! I would love to make a WhatsApp group for this thread when we’re all a bit further along 🥰
