Any other first-time mums-to-be just found out they’re pregnant?

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and, according to my dates, I’m currently 5 weeks + 4 days. It’s my first pregnancy at 39.

So far my main symptoms are headaches, bloating, constipation, and a little bit of nausea. The nausea is manageable at the moment as long as I eat regularly, I’ve already got ginger biscuits by the bed ready for first thing in the morning!

I thought I’d start a thread to see if there are any other first-time mums-to-be around the same stage who fancy a chat. As it’s all still very new, and I’m not quite ready to move over to WhatsApp groups yet, it would be lovely to compare symptoms, share milestones, worries and excitement, and hopefully support each other through the first trimester and beyond.

Anyone else due around the same time and fancy joining me? 😊

I went for an early scan last night. Everything looking good. There's a real baby cooking in here.

@Gingineer ah glad all went well, how many weeks was that?
I actually ended up having a private scan yesterday. I’ve had brown spotting since Wednesday and was freaking out. The EPAU couldn’t see me for a whole other week so we booked one instead. Measuring bang on 9+6 and could see baby moving and a heart beat. Was a huge relief.

@HopefulK measuring 7w+6 so I was only a day behind on my estimate (I thought 7+5). Saw heartbeat and big alien like head. All looking good so far.
