Just had a tentative early bfp which would make me due Feb 2027. Super scary as we have a not quite 9 month old…fingers crossed it’s sticky.

Anyone else?

Hi everyone :)

I’m due Feb 2nd with baby number 2, DD is almost 16 months old and was a Feb baby too!

Has anyone elses sense of smell gone off the rails? My nose is like a bloodhound at the moment! This happened in my last pregnancy so i wonder if I will get exactly the same symptoms throughout.

@Chellooo I registered my pregnancy with the midwives as soon as i found out 😅, got my 8 week booking on the 26th June. Trying to keep positive thoughts as my last pregnancy I was an anxious mess.

How long did it take after registering for them to get in touch? I haven’t heard anything yet and registered 8 days ago

Lao2471 · Yesterday 18:10

Also haven’t registered yet, still feeling sick (nappy changes are horrific) but nothing else. I could be tired but taking myself off to bed each afternoon for a nap with the baby! Will probably do some tests over the next few days to see progression as feeling a bit anxious. Although I know testing doesn’t necessarily help with that!

I haven’t registered yet either. For some reason this time feels different and I’m so anxious. With my daughter I didn’t even consider there would be any issues and only took 1 test. My lines are very faint at 14DPO so I’m super worried it’s a chemical. I’ve ordered some tests from Amazon so will check over the coming days x

In exactly the same boat here. Some cheapy tests arrived today so will be doing the same. Fingers crossed!

Argh sorry @Lao2471 its feels like such a limbo doesn’t it. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you! My tests just turned up so I took one and it’s at least a bit more prominent than the one I took this morning which was vv faint. I’m still getting positives on the digital tests too, so trying not to overthink

@Apple2026thank you. Yes just using the Internet cheapies but I'm definitely seeing progression so I'll probably keep testing for a few more days then try and stop 😂

Here’s mine 😂 I’m going to stop when I hopefully get a dye stealer! First is 9dpo and bottom is 16dpo

I think the tests and their sensitivities vary loads don’t they?
With my last pregnancy I worked myself up a bit with lots of different brands so this time I thought I’d just stick with the easy at home cheapies.
@censor22what dpo are you? Looks like a decent line?

hazeleyesJ · Yesterday 20:37

I got a 3+ on a digital today so I’m going to try and stop testing and try to relax. I have no symptoms though, so that makes it harder.

Lao2471 · Yesterday 21:21

Just taken one of the cheapies and it’s deffo darker than the two clearblue I took earlier in the week, which is slightly reassuring. It’s sooo hard not to rely on testing when symptoms aren’t obvious.

Looking for a bit of advice on my lines… I’ve been testing with FMU daily to see line progression. I’m 17DPO today. At 14DPO I took my first Clearblue digital that tells you how many weeks along you are and I got 3+
I was super shocked because I haven’t even got 1-2/2-3 yet. At 14DPO, I should’ve been borderline 1-2/2-3 not 3+ so I thought my HcG must be quite high. Since I got the 3+ so early, I thought I’d continue to test until my 6 week scan.

Anyway, yesterday I thought my line was ever so slightly lighter, and now today it definitely is.

Im in the UK and can’t get a private scan till 6 weeks. I’ll be so anxious waiting another week and a half to find out what’s happening. Is there anything I can ask from my GP?

Hey @Poppybloom55sorry you’re having this worry. Have you tried diluting your urine and seeing if it’s still lighter? There’s the hook effect where you can have too much hcg that it overwhelms the test and starts to show negative. I’m not sure at what point this can start but it’s definitely a thing.

I did actually just try this, but the hook effect test didn’t come back darker. On the plus side, it wasn’t faint either so considering it’s diluted it did come back instantly and strong positive. I know I just need to stop testing but it’s soooo hard

Ah that’s good. Hopefully that’s reassuring a bit. But yeh probably keeping testing just brings more anxiety. I can’t talk though as I’m still doing loads of tests 🙄. When I did have a chemical though the tests never got particularly dark and nowhere near like as strong positives as yours.

Hi everyone! I’d love to join the thread.
I think I’ll be due 03 Feb 🙏🏻 ivf baby.
This is a very long-awaited pregnancy for us. I have an 8-year-old DD, but because of my age and the IVF journey, I find myself feeling a lot more nervous about things going wrong this time around. I'm doing my absolute best to keep my mind occupied, but the anxiety is definitely real.
So far, my main symptom has been a lot of cramping. Honestly, I was completely convinced AF was on the way before I got my bfp!
Most of my friends finished having their babies years ago, so I don’t really have anyone in my day-to-day life going through this right now. I’m really looking forward to chatting with you all, sharing the highs and lows, and finding some community here.
Wishing everyone here a happy and healthy nine months! ❤️

cobalt123 · Today 08:28

Welcome @Greentiles67and congratulations! It’s definitely nice to be able to talk to other people in a similar situation here! Also because it’s so mentally occupying when you might not want to be talking to many people you know about it yet!

Main symptoms for me so far are lower back ache and fatigue. Oh also now the smell of butter is disgusting 😂. Officially 4 weeks today and got a 2-3 weeks on a digital this morning ☺️

The anxiety has hit a little here. Baby number 4. Completely and utterly planned but suddenly seems like a huge responsibility 😂

Baby 3 for me and I feel exactly the same!

I don't really do progression after I've got a definite positive, but I have three cheapies left and this is probably last baby. Should I just use them up? 😅

Thank you 😊
The backache is a symptom for me too. It’s a reassuring, dull ache!

We’ve decided not to tell anyone yet. How about you? I have a scan in 3 weeks with the clinic which feels like a lifetime away. I can’t wait to tell my DD 🙏🏻 she will be so shocked

NoCheese2026 · Today 17:56

I've registered at the hospital and have appointments at the end of June and July. I didn't know that pregnancy is dated back to the start of your last period? So I'm at 5 weeks 5 days already, though only ovulated around May 8...!

Oh yay! Congratulations! So glad you made it over too. We must have almost the same date I think going on our posts about dpo on the other thread.
I use the natural cycles app and it works the due date out based on when you ovulated, maybe it did that?
How are you feeling? Any symptoms yet?

censor22 · Today 19:40

Has anyone else’s tastebuds gone funny? I had some Cadbury’s yesterday and it tasted like cigarettes. Then I had some fresh pineapple today and it tasted so gross and bitter
