I need to get better at snacking too, we're usually a 'massive portion at dinner' couple, minimal snacking. But I'm starting to feel queasy, can't decide what I want to eat - first time ever for me, I'm usually the first to order at meals out.

Getting into tea with ginger and honey, feels soothing and like food.

It's all so unexpected we're still getting our heads around what we need to know.

rach971 · 09/04/2026 11:33

@Alwaysgrowing I do think it's probably pregnancy related but with my first midwife appointment not being for probably another 4 or so weeks I thought it's best to check. I wasn't impressed being up so much in the night šŸ˜‚

I keep getting pain low down as well, a bit crampy

OneSunnyFox · 09/04/2026 11:59

@rach971 also had a urine infection with first pregnancy, had no symptoms and apparently it was quite a bad one. I was peeing through the night as you described but otherwise no stinging or anything associated. I was a bit in shock, as found out after my booking appointment. I put the peeing down to being pregnant.

Apparently they are very common as there is a PH change down there down to hormones and that shift can make you more suceptible.

If you do have one, be warned they have to state disclaimers about impact to pregnancy and risks etc.

Thanks, it has been a challenge to lose weight. We have been on fertility journey for so long that after second donor failure about a year ago, me and my husband decided to take a break and focus on our health and fitness. I used combination of Mounjaro, moving to more Mediterranean diet and exercise to lose the kilos. I hoped that this will help with fertility.

while the next donor transfer I had afterwards was also a failiure, by some miracle i managed to get pregnant naturally. Don’t know if weight loss influenced that, but if it did it was worth every moment!

Alwaysgrowing · 09/04/2026 12:14

Another thing with UTIs, my eldest was premature, no reason for it, went into labour early, after waters broke, known as PROM. My 2nd pregnancy I was concerned would be the same but a Dr said most likely I had an undetected UTI an no reason it would happen again, my 2nd was 40 weeks.

Sa11yCinnamon · 09/04/2026 12:14

@Aprahel87 that's amazing! I suppose you'll never know if it contributed to you falling pregnant but it's really interesting to think about. It may well make recovery and early days postpartum easier too.

rach971 · 09/04/2026 12:32

@OneSunnyFox It did have me worrying a bit, but then I had a Google and it said it shouldn't have an impact on the pregnancy. I think if it's third trimester and left untreated it can cause issues but on the whole the info I could find seemed to suggest it shouldn't be much of an issue šŸ¤ž

OneSunnyFox · 09/04/2026 12:43

@rach971 I took the antibiotics, had a very normal pregnancy. No impact to baby, he is absolutely fine - though was arguably too comfortable in there as he was forcibly removed.

Just wanted to warn you, as I found it quite jarring when my doc had to list it all off.

rach971 · 09/04/2026 12:50

@OneSunnyFox Obviously part of their job but my anxiety over absolutely anything and everything could do without it šŸ˜‚

OlivejuiceU2 · 09/04/2026 14:39

hi, sorry I haven't posted in a while. Life has been pretty hectic. DH and I have realised we need to get our renovation finished quicker than we had planned if everything is to work out with this pregnancy so that has kept us busy. Got a 3+ weeks on a CB yesterday at 5 weeks so really happy with that. Try not too overeat but my god I am so hungry at times, I wasn't like this with my first so has come as a surprise.

BiddyPopthe2nd · 09/04/2026 14:42

Congratulations to all in the December 2026 club. I will have a 21 year old graduate this year from the 2005 version ….which makes me feel very old while if also seems like only yesterday!

NewAgeDawning · 09/04/2026 18:21

@BiddyPopthe2ndthank you! Im certain time will also fly by for us :)

@Aprahel87 whatever it was, im so glad for you that its all worked out for you both. Sorry if you said before but why did you move to the egg donor route?

allbrandnew · 09/04/2026 19:10

putting on weight already -

I feel absolutely massive, mainly because I’m eating regular sized meals again as I was on mournjaro for a while. Also my boobs are so swollen, I look awful in clothes.

Checked out Clue app, and it shows you what a 6w+2 bean look like - and it’s smaller than an eyelash! If I’m feeling like a big gal now, how much fuller will I get?! I’ll be round like a ball 😭🫠

@NewAgeDawning we tried originally with my own eggs, in unfortunately I hove premature ovarian insufficiency. My egg count is extremely low, and after 3 cycles where I only manage to collect one egg each cycle, which we transferred on day 3 (all failed) our fertility doctor told us our chances of getting pregnant with my eggs were minuscule. We decided then to try donor route. So to say I was gobsmacked when I got pregnant just before my next ivf transfer is putting it mildly!! I am just hoping the miracle continues until I have a healthy baby in my arms šŸ™

Hi everyone, I have been debating joining as I have a history of 5 miscarriages so not wanting to tempt fate. I should be 6+4, had early bloods done at EPAU and they increased from 473 to 1175 in 48 hours from day 2-4 after my missed period. Have had lots of symptoms but putting them down to progesterone which I've been on since positive test. I am booked for an early scan in the morning and terrified .. had a bit of nausea last week which has now gone so was conceived my hcg was dropping but clearblue showing 3+ .. just needed to write this out as my partner is not a talker and no one else knows x

FastFish1993 · 09/04/2026 20:45

Hi everyone I'm joining this thread as I just tested positive this week. I think this will be a "high risk" pregnancy due to my birth complications after baby#1 so i will have to start blood thinner injections soon and stay on them through pregnancy! Anyone have experience of this? 😫

NewAgeDawning · 09/04/2026 20:48

@Aprahel87just goes to show doctors dont know everything!

@Desperatelyseekingmewelcome and congratulations! Sounds like my husband lol love having other women to talk to. Good luck at the scan tomorrow, it will all go well

@FastFish1993welcome sorry to hear you had complications in the past. Chances are this will be a much smoother pregnancy and delivery 2nd time round šŸ™šŸ½

FastFish1993 · 09/04/2026 20:54

Thank you @NewAgeDawning I only recently felt ready to think about baby #2, 3 years later! Fingers crossed everything progresses well. Congratulations to everyone else here xx

Desperatelyseekingme · 09/04/2026 22:08

Thank you @NewAgeDawning weve been through this so many times I know we will be okay no matter what the outcome it's just nerve wracking waiting!

BellaStar2020 · 09/04/2026 22:12

Hi all. Had a positive on Monday, apps are saying that I am due on 11th December and I am 5 weeks exactly today. This will be my 2nd baby, I have a DD who will be 5 in July.

having lots of strange stretching/pulling type cramps and my tummy feels really hard. With my first I had morning sickness every day for 25 weeks, but I haven’t had anything so far in that department.
lower back pain and very very tired.

glad to be on this journey with you all. It feels strange that will be having a baby this year!

I got the app and paid for the year subscription for ttc after Mirena removal. But mine says it’s the size of a grain of salt at 4+3

hollyhocks2 · 09/04/2026 23:01

@Desperatelyseekingme you’ve given me the push I needed to join. Welcome and a hand squeeze to you. I’ve been dipping into this thread but with 3 losses behind me it feels scary actually piping up. I was on a thread during my last pregnancy that progressed to WhatsApp but then I sadly had to leave the group. Nevertheless, I find myself in need of support at this stage whatever happens. I am 6 weeks today, and this morning I had my first scan and all was as you would hope at this stage, including the heartbeat. Rooting for you @Desperatelyseekingme that this is your experience tomorrow. Although I am celebrating today’s encouraging news I have had a loss after a similar but later scan and 2 of my losses have been between 6 and 9 weeks so I’m just very very nervous about this coming fortnight until my next scan. I feel a bit like I’m on the edge of a very high cliff on a windy day. Cautious congratulations to everyone here, and everything crossed for us all.

rupertbear91 · 10/04/2026 06:40

Hi everyone tested positive a week ago it is my second baby, and had Hyperemisis with my first so terrified of getting it again. Have been started on antisickness already to hopefully reduce it this time.

Desperatelyseekingme · 10/04/2026 09:31

Thanks @hollyhocks2 and a massive congratulations on your scan yesterday and seeing your little heartbeat. I understand still feeling cautious after your previous experience, it's so unfair that we loose all the goodness and excitement after recurrent losses. Try to enjoy the small milestones though, I keep telling myself all I know for sure is right now everything is how it should be and that's the only certainty. Scan later this morning so will update later x

PhoenixSTL · 10/04/2026 09:42

Anyone else treating each week as a milestone? I've reached Week 6 today, and it feels like such a relief to get to this point šŸ˜
