@AnonymousXXIX I've always found that my FMU is actually quite dilute. Maybe because I drink a little bit of water before I fall asleep. With my June pregnancy, I found that I had stronger lines in the afternoon rather than the morning. Can you order any tests on amazon to arrive a bit sooner, and put your mind at ease a little?

AnonymousXXIX · 08/04/2026 09:47

@PhoenixSTL thinking about my other pregnancies, I do think I usually get clearer results in evening. So going to clutch onto that straw whilst there's no sign of AF.

My cycles are only 26 days so testing on day 26 was a super early risky thing to do sigh; I only did it because I was so confused about the brown spotting. Today's day 29.

I live in the countryside and Amazon wouldn't get here till Friday or even Monday I reckon, so no use. I am seeing my GP later about something so I might just unload my anxiety onto her as well and see what that does.

Sa11yCinnamon · 08/04/2026 11:21

Sorry to everyone who’s struggling with anxiety, I’m feeling it with no previous losses so I can’t imagine how nerve wracking it must be for you. Hoping the next few weeks speed up for us all!

And big congratulations to the new BFPs, @Bomatoes that’s wonderful news after nearly 5 years and it will be lovely to do it all without restrictions 😊

LixxieM · 08/04/2026 13:31

I’m due on my own due date of December 12th, full of anxiety as my last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 9 weeks. super conscious of every twinge or cramp.

Moominmamato3 · 08/04/2026 13:33

Hi everyone ~ I agree with everyone about time dragging and double thinking every little possible symptom or lack of any, I thought with this being my fourth I would be more relaxed but still googling every thought that pops into my head!

Luckily was distracted over Easter as my youngest was potty training which has been successful.

GladDenimGoose · 08/04/2026 14:51

Please can I tentatively join this thread? We've been trying for 9 cycles and this morning I got squinters on e@h and frer. I've never had even a whiff of a positive before so this is new for me. I'm very aware that's it's early and but I'm cautiously hopeful!

Hey I'm also not sure of dates but if I estimate from potential ovulation day (25th march?!) my app says due date 14th Dec too! I didn't realise it would be so close to Christmas! I am wondering if dates shift it could be even closer!

Ahh exciting, we’ll have to check in with each other to see if the dates will match at the dating scan!

rupertbear91 · 08/04/2026 18:35

Hi everyone, just joined expecting my 2nd baby currently du 15/12 so 4 weeks + 1 at the minute. Had severe Hyperemisis in my first pregnancy so terrified for a repeat of that!

LixxieM · 08/04/2026 21:34

Anyone else taking SSRIs and worried about the possible effects it can have on growing baby? Looking for reassurance really, I have a doc appointment but that’s ages away to discuss.

Alwaysgrowing · 08/04/2026 21:48

I'm 6 weeks today and just so hungry. I felt ok to go to my excersise class, after eating 2 eggs and toast for breakfast and a banana a couple of hours later. Towards the end I was so hungry and had packed some screen I ate. Then I went to playground with my little boy. I felt myself getting hangry, felt it must be lunchtime but it was only 10:30. We went home had tuna pasta and I napped... woke up hungry.

@LixxieM for my first pregnancy I did get prescribed ssri, but didn't get on with setratine so didn't try the other kind, citrolopram I was prescribed. But I had a meeting with a mental health midwife, who said they were safe. I did towards the end of my pregnancy go on qutiapine, which isn't a ssri, but really helped my mental health and came off it slowly when baby was 6 months. I had a good matinatiy leave and a good bond with my baby. I wasn't on any medication with my 2nd, and do think, I probably had post natal depression, I didn't really bond properly until he was quite old..I didn't want to go down the road of talking to people and trying medications, deciding whether I should declare it to the DVLA, as that caused issues before. Both my children are healthy. But you want to be in a good place mentally when you have a baby. That's important. Hope that helps.

I’m on 40mg citalopram, have brought this up with the nurse - she’s booking me into my first appointment, not sure when that’ll be but I’ll continue taking my SSRIs as the chances of depression are worse than cutting them out entirely during pregnancy

LixxieM · 08/04/2026 21:52

@Alwaysgrowingthank you, that’s really helpful and takes some of the anxiety away from it all šŸ™šŸ»

Nattalot · 08/04/2026 22:31

Does anyone else have a quick look at their pregnancy test/s throughout the day to reasure themselves?! I got 2-3 weeks today which has helped with some of the worry. But then the dog found it and chewed it and it's gone blank šŸ˜ž

LixxieM · 08/04/2026 23:02

@allbrandnew thank you for answering, it’s nice to know I’m not doing something wrong by continuing to take them

Aprahel87 · 09/04/2026 00:13

Taken my blood test today. Based on my last cycle I should be 5 weeks 2 days, and have Hcg of 11,258 at the moment. Wondering whether my mum and sisters teasing about twins might be tempting fate!

thehopelessoverthinker · 09/04/2026 03:22

@LixxieM I’m taking fluoxetine and spoke to my GP about it last week and the thing she kept reiterating was your mental health being uncontrolled is more of a risk to baby than taking your medication, so yes while there are some risks it’s most important that you remain stable. The doctor/midwife will be able to advise you specifically on your condition/dosage but I felt a bit reassured that I wasn’t doing a bad thing by continuing to take my regular medication.

I got my 3+ on clearblue yesterday at 5+4 weeks, yay! But have been feeling absolutely horrendous the last few days - nausea gets steadily worse throughout the day and into the evening, and I’m waking up in the night feeling so sick I then can’t get back to sleep again. Thankful I’m not actually being sick but the constant nausea and retching is really hard going.

Alwaysgrowing · 09/04/2026 08:17

Back to my insatiable hunger. I'm also worried if I ignore the hunger I'll get nauseous. What are your favourite snacks? I felt a bit annoyed that we mostly have Easter chocolate makes me feel a bit sick. Need to get more snacksQ. In also overweight and don't want to exasibate that, allthough I know you can't really diet in pregnancy. Hard boiled eggs are hit or miss. I like peanut butter on apple slices.

rach971 · 09/04/2026 08:49

@Alwaysgrowing I've been really hungry too!

I've contacted the doctors this morning through their online form as I think I may have a UTI. Don't particularly have any stinging, but I was up 5 times last night for a wee šŸ™ˆ It may be nothing but I feel it's best to check

Aprahel87 · 09/04/2026 09:54

For me it is opposite. I feel like my appetite has decreased. I can still eat normally at meal times but I have far less of an urge to snack in between meals. When I do fruit is a safe choice. Carrots and low fat humus are good, and mini popadoms, popcorn etc. I lost around 20kg in preparation for this pregnancy so I am conscious not to go too overboard… luckily my body has been cooperating

NewAgeDawning · 09/04/2026 10:17

@rach971 a UTI would usually come with stinging or some level of pain / discomfort. It could just be your uterus already pressing on your bladder. Definitely good to check. You can also buy some urine strips to test for that sort of thing off of Amazon just so youre not having to go out to the GP. That's what they use anyway. Hope its nothing, good luck

NewAgeDawning · 09/04/2026 10:18

@Aprahel87 20kgs is a huge amount. congratulations, its not easy. I wanted to have lost around 10kgs before getting pregnant again but it didnt happen

rach971 · 09/04/2026 10:20

@NewAgeDawning Thank you I'll have to order some, definitely handy to have

Sa11yCinnamon · 09/04/2026 10:28

@rach971 I'm peeing constantly, it can just be hormonal at this stage. But it's definitely worth getting checked!

@Aprahel87 wow, well done! I was also hoping to lose a bit of weight before getting pregnant @NewAgeDawning but didn't quite get round to it... I got engaged just before falling pregnant so big motivation postpartum šŸ˜…

PhoenixSTL · 09/04/2026 10:46

@Alwaysgrowing I'm actually getting myself a snack now šŸ˜… currently working my way through hot cross buns. Had a real craving for sweets yesterday. And I've been obsessing on chocolate this week too. I've had to start bringing biscuits to the office as well - I normally don't snack at all at the office.

Alwaysgrowing · 09/04/2026 11:22

@rach971 at every midwife appointment they check the urine and it picked it up for me one time when I didn't have any symptoms in a different pregnancy. I think ordering the stips online sounds like a great idea. I'll do that too. I'm finding i need to wee more, but take it pressure from uterus, and also bowels as they've definitely changed behaviour!

Today I've done what someone else suggested which was, when at work, have sandwiches cut into quareters in my pocket, and eat a quarter is a feel a bit nauseous. I haven't had nausea, and mostly I've eaten full meals too, but a couple of hours later, I'm hungry.
