Bit of a rough night last night, son is a type 1 diabetic so was up numerous times dealing with him all night. At one stage when I got up I noticed a bad pain in my leg, like a pulling sensation but can’t stretch or bend it fully.
Worked all day and struggled with it as was on my feet, up and down the stairs, lifting and bending for boxes.
Pain was going up and down my calf and thigh and foot felt a little tingly at times.
No idea what I done during the night to cause it and not being able to take anything for it thenšŸ™ƒ long day

Hi everyone, cautiously joining the December gang. I got a VF positive at 9dpo, and it's continued getting darker for the last two days. Still very early, and I can't stop myself testing every AM & PM to see it the lines are getting darker!

I'm so lucky to already have two DC, but had a chemical pregnancy loss 2 weeks after finding out in between them. So a little apprehensive still that this might not stick.

@kizpaws I'm not sure about anechoic areas, but I had two giant cysts on my ovaries (2-3cm) with my last little one. Noticed at a 7 week scan, and they stayed for my pregnancy. I did get one on the placenta too, adjacent to the cord, so it was higher risk towards the end. But other than that all was well - super common apparently. From what I understood from the consultant, the initial concern was that the cysts might have been ectopic if they're close to the fallopian tube. Easier to tell the further along you get. (I may be misremembering because I didn't fully understand at the time.)

I am really crashing out tonight, zero symptoms today and just have a bad feeling which I know I shouldn’t read too much into. Anyone having reassurance scans when are you planning on doing them?

rach971 · 10/04/2026 21:19

@OlivejuiceU2 I was looking into reassurance scans today. I'm trying to talk myself out of it, but I think if I have one it'll be around 8-9 weeks. I was looking at scan images by week earlier and that seems to be when you can see a tad more detail

Hi everyone I'm joining this thread as I just tested positive this week. I think this will be a "high risk" pregnancy due to my birth complications after baby#1 so i will have to start blood thinner injections soon and stay on them through pregnancy! Anyone have experience of this? 😫

I’ve been put on blood thinning injections for the duration of my pregnancy this time.
i have 2 injections each night. This is my first pregnancy with this protocol so hopefully it’ll help this little one stick around

@OlivejuiceU2 I’m having an early scan at the hospital at 6+2, I’m hoping they’ll scan me every 2 weeks until 12 week scan šŸ¤žšŸ» that’s what the plan was in my last pregnancy but we didn’t quite make it to 12 weeks

OlivejuiceU2 · 10/04/2026 21:32

Thanks @rach971 im thinking the same. I managed to hold out to 10 weeks with my daughter but then I got really ill with flu in hospital and was worried after that had happened and just really needed the reassurance.

FastFish1993 · 10/04/2026 22:29

@Ncl31 oh wow - I have everything crossed for you and hope the injections help. I know they are not pleasant but worth it!šŸ¤žmine will be due to getting pulmonary embolisms after my first c section. Not sure how soon I'm meant to go on them or how to request! I've made a self referral to my hospital so hopefully they'll advise.

Growingaseed · 11/04/2026 01:04

Hi all,

I wanted to say hello šŸ‘‹

Im due at the start of December. 6 weeks atm! It's my first baby and I've had almost no symptoms since 4 weeks. If anything I've had a bit more energy! A bit worried in case things aren't developing as they should but have booked a reassurance scan for next week.

I looked it up and I know it's not a problem not to have symptoms but it's still hard not to worry.

Looking forward to the journey and pleased to have a December crew 🤶

Looking for some advice please..
I am about 6 weeks pregnant and last night I noticed some light pink blood when wiping and this morning I have some brown discharge again only when wiping. Has anyone else experienced this?

OneSunnyFox · 11/04/2026 04:22

@DanielleG26 both are super common. I experienced both with my first pregnancy (success), and have had brown with this one at almost the same time.

Welcome @Growingaseed

With my first pregnancy around 8 weeks I had brown spotting for about 4 days and all was fine :)

I also had the same in my first pregnancy from about 6-9 weeks but if you are worried EPU normally check things out as reassurance

bluepurplegreen · 11/04/2026 07:35

I’m 5 weeks and 3 days and only have mild symptoms (not including those like fatigue that could be from the ivf meds I’m taking). V mild nausea and occasional twinges, but not many. Have a scan booked for a week from now šŸ¤žšŸ». It’s hard without the reassurance of the tests. My scan is on the cusp of being early but as I did IVF I know the dates and I implanted early šŸ¤žšŸ».

With my last pregnancy I had scans at EPU at 7 and 10 weeks due to some bleeding, totally fine but I’m expecting it to happen again so not booking a private scan yet. If I don’t bleed I’ll book one around 8 weeks.

rach971 · 11/04/2026 12:17

Struggling so much with eating at the moment. I'm three bites into a cheese sandwich and it's knocking me sick. Everything is knocking me sick at the moment, the smell of food, the thought of food, actually having to eat food. The only thing I can stomach is Nice n Spicy Nik Naks šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

NewAgeDawning · 11/04/2026 12:30

@rach971ohhh cant beat some nik naks 🄰🄰

Ncl31 · 11/04/2026 13:00

I’ve felt a little sick all day today. But not sick enough to feel rough if that makes sense.
I started to spiral back to anxiety this morning as I woke up and my boobs weren’t sore anymore. I’ve managed to keep myself busy with housework to try and settle down.
I hate this anxiety so much.

Aprahel87 · 11/04/2026 15:45

I spent yesterday in A&E after I started lightly bleeding. Luckily it was just very light bleeding and they think it is is just implantation bleeding, but to say my anxiety is through the roof is putting it mildly. Had to talk myself out from doing a reassurance scan even though I know it’s too early (5w6days). Baby isn’t even born and giving me heart attacks

hollyhocks2 · 11/04/2026 16:00

@Aprahel87thank god they think all is ok. The worry is unbelievable. @Ncl31my boobs stopped being tender for a little while too but it’s come back. I’m sure it’s normal for any symptoms to fluctuate and change but I totally understand the panic. I got upset last night at the overwhelming pressure on me and my body to make it work this time. My partner is supportive but there’s no getting away from the fact it’s all on the woman after conception. Just felt like a lot. I guess not helped by me having to take (and remember!) various medications now too.

rach971 · 11/04/2026 16:18

@Ncl31 I'm feeling similar with the anxiety, keep going through phases where I'll wake up and feel an overwhelming sense of dread like something bad is going to happen. I just want to be 12 weeks so I can worry SLIGHTLY less. I've been off work this week though so hopefully being back next week will take my mind off it a bit

Hello,

Also tentatively joining - had a positive on Saturday and think my EDD would be 7/12.

I had a MMC back in November at 9 weeks and a chemical last cycle so very nervous. I am under Gynae for a cyst which they found during my MMC so was advised that as soon as I get another positive test to refer to EPU. I went to EPU yesterday who did bloods and I am back to see how they are progressing tomorrow.

Hi Ladies,

Reading all of these is really reassuring as I’m 4weeks 5days today (Due 14th December). We are both soon to be 39 and have been TTC since May 25, unfortunately had a chemical pregnancy in December at 4 weeks 2 days. I’ve also got an ovarian cyst so eager to hear if you’ve had any further advice on the cyst etc? We have a Gynae appointment on Tuesday so hoping they can give so advice and hoping for an early reassurance scan šŸ¤žšŸ¼

We were just about to be referred for IVF so are really anxious at the minute. We are excited also and so grateful, but it’s hard to be fully excited after we got so excited in December and our excitement was very quickly brought to an end.

It is really reassuring to hear my symptoms at this stage are in line with everybody else’s. Sore chest, major bloating with cramps and extreme exhaustion šŸ«¶šŸ½ā˜ŗļøgrateful to be able to feel all of these feelings.

I’ve been tracking line progression as a way to try and relieve my anxieties and I’m so happy to see how dark today’s is showing ā¤ļø sending love and positive vibes for a healthy pregnancy to you all šŸ«¶šŸ½

@MissNatWest Congratulations! I had a cyst on my ovary while I was pregnant with my little one and they said it would go away on its own. I ended up having a scan for something else about 6 months after she was born and I had a 5cm cyst (don't know if it was the same one from pregnancy) but it did go away on its own

Hey, the doctors appointment before I was pregnant was reassuring that it wouldn’t affect pregnancy - apparently they can support early pregnancy. He advised me to call epu (because of the miscarriages) so I’ve had beta bloods x3 and have an early scanned booked for next Monday. They were going to do it sooner but I’m away!

MissNatWest · 11/04/2026 18:12

Thank you both @rach971 that is reassuring ā˜ŗļø

Thanks @wonderlust07 glad they are giving you some reassurance and checking you over šŸ«¶šŸ½ Hopefully we get a similar follow up appointment next week šŸ¤žšŸ¼
