@pastelheart haha Awh am feeling you with the afternoon naps also .. we may aswell make the most of it as once baby is here it will be a case of sleeping when the baby is .. If we can 😅.. the breastfeeding clinic sounds good, hope you enjoy today .. keep us posted with any good tips etc 🥰.. I really hope I have an easy ride with it again this time but who knows ..I remember the midwife at the time say ‘she’s just done it all herself’ so I don’t think it was anything I done specifically.. I think I was lucky my daughter just ‘done it’ and latched on fine, I did laugh re your DH with your time off .. 😂

@SarahAndQuack yeh I am on the same boat re the extra stress with harvesting, sorry your ex had such a hard time with it, hope you enjoy your gardening today, do you have a date in mind for finishing up your work ? I managed to buy extra toiletries over the week that I can have ready to go in my hospital bag so I have a few things ready .. just need the clothes side of things for my bag now 🥰

@dubkitten thanks, yeh I think I’ll keep the mattress that came with, it does feel ok .. wow she is getting so big now , that’s amazing she’s on solids .. congratulations on the christening !! Hope you enjoy the swimming today!

I am still planning on getting around to making the babies group....I'll get there 😂

I havent read all the messages about colustrum harvesting/breastfeeding but if it helps, I didnt have chance to collect any as baby came early but a lovely midwife helped me hand express in the hospital and I had great support to get breastfeeding up and running. Its not always difficult so I hope you all find it goes smoothly if thats what you want to do.

My main issue atm is night time. Baby will settle lovely during the day but is wide awake at night! Wont even settle for 5 minutes in his moses basket, only settles when held. So finding that pretty exhausting!

@SarahAndQuack i knowwwww! I can’t believe I’m 37 weeks, it really has gone fast even though September now feels ages away and that was when we were doing our ivf cycle! If it makes you feel better, I have had my hospital bag half packed since 25 weeks and I only actually finished it two days ago, it would have been useless before then as all it had in it was snacks lol 😂 we are 100% not delicate flowers 🌷

@dubkitten wow can’t believe she’s 18 weeks! That has flown! Does she enjoy swim class? I’m looking at booking for my partner to take baby so that can be there thing

@AmberRose26 I had a burst of energy this morning until about 10 am and then I hit a wall and felt rubbish so slept from 10-2 😓😓 clinic was okay but I didn’t really learn anything new as have been researching/watching vids/reading myself and have breastfed before. I also wasn’t sure if partners went, and I didn’t want my partner to go and then the other ladies feel uncomfortable so I went by myself… I was the only one without their partner their lol 😂 was a really annoying man sat behind me who asked about 50 million questions… I think he is expecting to be the one who’s breastfeeding if I’m honest

@CloudyIvy55 send a link when you do get round to it (no rush obvs, we know you have other priorities!) sorry nights are so hard, I guess you have tried swaddling? A dummy did help my son with this in the early days… xx

So went on a walk this afternoon to ‘get baby lower’… feels like he’s going to fall out now. Been having lots of tightening and very very achey so now I’m going to walk walk walk u til he gets here… might even go for a walk on the treadmill 😂😂

anyone else find the end of pregnancy strange feeling? Like I want him here right now and I’m so excited… but I also don’t want to not be pregnant? As that’s such a special time (and it’s just me and my baby) the thought of feeling him move for the last time in my tummy makes me want to actually cry but I also can’t wait to be able to walk like normal and not have heart burn anymore 😂😂 but I deffo 100% want to still be pregnant… but I want my baby here too? Anyone else feel like that or just me being weird? 😂

I really relate to that feeling! I think especially because I know it's the only time I'll get to do this.

I would really like to meet him and I won't relax until I know he's here and safe, but I also am enjoying being pregnant.

Eek at the tightenings and aches - hope you are ok! I think just in the last few days I've started feeling a sort of 'pull' on my belly when I lift something heavy or whatever, rather than it being a bump that I know is there but that doesn't really feel different from how I normally feel, if you see what I mean?

@pastelheart I liked feeling her early flutters and kicks but by the end in all honesty no… I was get this baby out of me 😂

be amazing to have baby here but yes I feel like that it’s so nice being pregnant and being in your own wee baby bubble world 😅.. ohh sounds like things could be progressing for you with the tightening .. super exciting ..are you having a c section ? What would happen if you started labour before the booked date ? Do they get you in quicker for the section or would you try vaginal ? Sorry I can’t remember what birth preference you had, you are so close I think you will be next in the group ?

I have my next scan tomorrow (33+3) so I’ll find out if my placenta has moved away from my cervix, it was only to move up about 1cm or so and consultant said at the time that 90% of the time it moves up with the growth of uterus .. and bump has defo got bigger since then so will see 🤞🏽 my last scan I was 22 weeks so it seems like forever away the last one was, I hope it’s moved up as would like a vaginal birth. Baby will be so much bigger on the screen now can’t wait to see her wee face etc and I hope everything is still processing as it should be 🤞🏽🙏✨💛

Had my scan and all was well, baby measuring in the 90th percentile! Estimate weight 5lbs 4 which seems big for 33 weeks ? But they said her thigh bone was long so that could make the weight average out at a larger figure in think? Also my placenta is now 5cm away from cervix so that’s good it’s moved away ☺️.. hope everyone else is good !

@SarahAndQuacki am okay! Tightenings and aches and cramps are are daily occurrence now, everytime I move I get them but they do stop when I rest. How are you feeling?

@magpie234 honestly I don’t remember movements being this strong with my son ever, so not sure if this baby is stronger or just more active. The midwife was asking me if there was a pattern to his movements last week and I was like yeah they don’t stop 😂😂

@AmberRose26i am hoping to have a vaginal delivery… so just a waiting game now! I did have my son at 39 weeks so… who knows when it could start properly! I have a pregnancy massage booked tomorrow so it can’t happen before then as I’m looking forward to that lol 😂 omg I hadn’t even thought I might be next in the group! Eeeeek!!! I have just looked at my notes for my growth scan to compare size, my scan was at 34 weeks exactly and baby weighed around 5lb 10oz, his abdominal circumference was measuring 38 weeks though 😂 everything else was measuring at 34 weeks so my baby is chubby lol 😂 such good news about your cervix moving up too! Yay for vagina delivery! Xx

your massage went well.. that sounds absolute bliss ! A bit of self care can’t go wrong with that, you deserve it definitely! I think it should be standard for all pregnant woman .. and few on the NHS haha ! We deserve this !!! 😂.. thanks for comparing your notes, well am not far of the same ish weight with you I guess so I don’t feel so bad now .. my daughter was only 5lbs 11 when she was born at 37+6 so I guess I was comparing to this and thinking that 5lbs 4 is massive for 33+3 but glad to hear you were similar, I can stop telling myself my baby is on the big size as she is prob just a little above average ☺️ I didn’t tear with my daughter so I was thinking my vagina will be destroyed this time round with a big 9 pounder 🫣😂

@AmberRose26 honestly massage was 10/10, I came home and asked my partner if I can have one everyday until the baby comes but he said no which I thought was quite rude 🙄 it was part of my valentines present from him and I saved it until I started mat leave and I’m so glad I did, if you can book one too! Highly recommend!

i think they say they put on 0.5lb per week on average in the final stages so you may be able to guesstimate birth weight, I think I worked out our baby will be around 8lb 10oz… which sounds huge but my first son was 8lb 4oz a week early soooo… and I also just keep telling myself my vagina will be fine- we got this 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 my vagina was fine last time, what’s a few more oz’s
i an concerned with baby coming out with his hand by his face seeing as at every single scan his hand has been attached to his face!

how are you today?

my bump is very uncomfortable and I am not sure at all but I think I could be leaking amniotic fluid, I have just put a pad on to see if I can work out if I am, if I’m still not sure and worried in the morning I think I might pop to triage. Hopefully it’s nothing and I’m just wetting myself lol 😂 xx

@pastelheart ouch, that does sound uncomfortable!

I'm doing ok but finding the emotions a bit rough. I wish the IVF clinic would stop sending me notifications! I am halfway through getting the cot set up - it's a big one that they can stay in for ages, so it's heavy. DD was very helpful, though. It's all feeling quite real now!

@pastelheart glad you enjoyed the massage, ha yeh how dare your DH refuse a daily massage 😅.. my last message I meant to say ’all pregnant woman should get it for FREE on the NHS’ auto type put ‘few’ .. oops.

Hope all is ok and if it is fluid they can get it checked, could just be nearing the time though ! Did your waters break spontaneously the last time ? Mine got broke for me so av never experienced the ‘pop’. Exciting stuff though.

@SarahAndQuack awh that’s lovely youv got the cot up now .. is your clinic still sending notifications ? As in for you to update them on the pregnancy ? Av never heard from my clinic since my last scan at 8 weeks with them when I ‘graduated’ from ivf clinic to NHS. They did give me a form to fill out for when baby was born with some details I have to put on it and post it back to them, just like a feed back form type thing.

I would really like a foot-and-ankle massage. So sore!

Yes, @AmberRose26, they are still in touch - I don't know why! I'm a wuss but I really don't want to sign in and deal with whatever it is. It's the same message I got when I had to sign forms to have embryos destroyed and I just hate it. The last one was a few months ago, and it turned out to be a message saying that they'd just processed the form to turn the embryos over to medical research, which they hurried me to sign over a year ago on the grounds it was super urgent. It just feels like rubbing salt in the wound now. But there we go.

We're all getting very close, aren't we?! Is your DD excited too?

@SarahAndQuack that's so bad they are harassing you with messages if it is for that, do they not keep them for up to ten years ? I am sure the clinic we are in keep the embryos for up to ten years then after that you have to pay extra if you want to keep them in storage ? Every clinic may be different though ?! Am not sure , do you have embryos still frozen ? Would you try another transfer after this birth , I think you have to wait up until a year after a birth before you put another embryo in ? Am not sure 🤔 hope your ok though 💛

I don't have any viable embryos.

I did one round where we got four, and they said we could talk to a genetic counsellor and then suddenly said we had to sign forms to have them destroyed asap (like, within hours). Then the second round they said it was all different, and I could talk to the embryologist (so I thought they were keeping them for a reason) and then on my transfer day when I was half naked in theatre, the embryologist came in and said they weren't viable and I needed to sign forms to destroy them. I'm really upset about it TBH.

I don't know why they need to keep bringing it up over and over? It just feels really cruel at this point.

But ooh, that's so lovely about your DD! Mine is excited about having a little brother, too. It's so good, isn't it?!

(Oh, and the first set, I don't really know what happened as initially they said not viable, then they said they'd mixed us up with someone who'd done a successful transfer and was getting rid of the ones left over, so really, who knows?)

@SarahAndQuackwhy are they so obsessed with you and won’t leave you alone? Are you able to call and speak to the clinic manager and have it sorted/make a complaint in one go?

@AmberRose26 I am having a chilled day today but I am really tempted to go have another massage… wish I was joking lol 😂 so I don’t think it’s my waters leaking, which is good. Just going to watch baby today as I don’t think he’s moving as much as normal but it’s hard to measure as usually he just doesn’t stop moving all day 😂 so he is still moving loads… just not as much as normal. I was trying to explain to my midwife the other day when I said he was slightly quieter and she said I should have gone to triage to be checked but I was like I still counted over 20 kicks in 1 hour but usually I would get 40+ and she was a bit stumped then lol 😂 so I’m not ever sure what to do!

my waters broke spontaneously with my first son, in the middle of the night when I rolled over (so you bet your bottom dollar I am rolling around as much as I can) but had significant meconium so had to go straight to hospital and put on the drip to get him out quick xx
