Does the number of weeks shorten as you have more kids?!

I understand there is no definitive answer when a little one would pop out in natural birth. My last two was nearly 42 weeks, and really hoping this one would be 38 weeks. Is that even possible. Has anyone had experience of shortened no. of weeks with later kids?!!

1st baby born 41 weeks
2nd baby born 37 weeks
3rd baby born 39 weeks
4th baby born 41 weeks
5th baby born 39 weeks
6th baby born 39 weeks

Pregnant with 7th baby so who knows.only God.

Opposite for me, although literally only just. I had my first at 39+4 and my second at 40+1 (just barely, I went into labour on the Sunday and she was born at 2am on the Monday).

OMG! I wish to have more baby but already feel dying with nausea with this 3rd baby! Well done.

First baby - 41 weeks
Second baby - 41 weeks
Third baby - 41+1 and still waiting

1st - 40 weeks born on due date
2nd - 41 weeks
3rd - 41weeks + 6 days!

1 - 40+5, spontaneous
2 - 40+2, spontaneous
3 - 38+2, induced and then EMCS

I thought traditionally it does but I was 39 weeks DS1 (spontaneous) 41 weeks DS 2 (induced) 36 weeks twins (induced).

Not in my experience.

1. 36wks+3 days (just, born at 00:59)
2. 37wks +6 days.

My sisters were 40+6 and 41+1 I think.

My babies were always super comfortable. In birth order:

41 + 4
41 + 5
41 + 6

They come when they're ready.
1st 38 weeks
2nd 38 + 3
3rd 39 weeks
4th 40 weeks
5th 37 + 2

1st - 40 weeks
2nd - 38 weeks
3rd - 37 weeks
4th - 35 weeks
5th - 38 weeks

All mine were late, but quick labours (#2 was an unplanned and unattended home birth 😳).

This has been such a good thread for mentally preparing myself! Two babies both born at 41+3, will just continue to add 10 days to the edd for #3 and prepare to once again explain why I don't want to talk about induction just yet 😅🤣

1st 13 days late
2nd on time
3rd on time ( 2 and 3 both weighed the same too , v.odd)
4th 11 days late ( was induced )

I don’t think it works like that personally. I’ve only had two so not as well experience as some of the mums on this thread but my first was born 41 weeks and my second was 42+1 weeks. 🤷‍♀️ my babies like to stay put.

Its actually been my hardest out of all. Im sick and tired and in pain a lot feel rubbish and have lost weight due to appetite loss. Im 24 weeks and weigh less now than before I was pregnant. But baby is healthy and good size at least with a good strong heartbeat. Thank you hope all is well with you ❤️

2nd 42wks and had to be smoked out!

1st: 36+6 (EMCS so wouldn’t really count for this)
2nd: 37+4 spontaneous
3rd: 37+1 spontaneous

1st: 40 weeks exactly
2nd: 41+5
3rd: 41+3
Both of the late ones were boys 😁

1. 40 weeks. 2 37 weeks. 3. 37 weeks. 4. 36 weeks . Last 3 we're. placenta previa so CS .

only time i have gone over in any of my pregnancies was with our little girl.. the rest of my pregnancies have been boys 😂 💙💙💙💙🩷💙

I’m currently 39+3 (the same as I was when going into labour with DD2), nothing going on, and I have a bloody induction scheduled for tomorrow (purely because of my my age rather than any other risk factors 🙄). I feel so despondent (which I know isn’t going to be doing anything for my oxytocin levels…)
