I’d be really grateful if you could share if you feel comfortable enough.
How much weight did you gain in total, how easy was it to lose afterwards? Is it possible to get back to your pre-pregnancy size?

I gained about 10kg (went from 65 to 75kg). Lost a lot immediately after birth and then the rest within six weeks, despite having ice cream for breakfast. Once my belly had deflated post birth I was back to my normal size.

babasaclover · 16/10/2025 14:43

Put on 1 stone. Baby weighed 7 but it took a few months for the other 7lbs to come off as was eating much more than usual post birth as was so tired!!!

no stretch marks or other evidence of having a child apart from c section scar.

AnneLovesGilbert · 16/10/2025 14:46

I think I put 16lbs on with my first and 18lbs with my second. Lost it all each time within 6-8 weeks, probably due to breastfeeding.

MauriceTheMussel · 16/10/2025 14:47

Fucking hell - I’m week 34 and have put on 10kgs already. I started at 61kgs

TennesseeDreams · 16/10/2025 14:49

I went from 10 stone 7 to 12 stone the day I gave birth. He was 9 pounds.

DS is 15 years. I'm now 13 stone. I always say I dieted my way to an extra stone. 🙄

MyAcornWood · 16/10/2025 14:53

First pregnancy, I lost weight, about half a stone, from my start weight, as I had HG. Straight back in pre-pregnancy clothes.
Second pregnancy, I think around a stone and a half. Back in pre-pregnancy clothes straight away but the looser stuff. My jeans after a few weeks, maybe 4 or 5 weeks? I didn’t really try before that admittedly!! despite being a similar size though, I stay looking chunky the whole time I’m breastfeeding though, like puffy almost?

Pre-pregnancy 64kg
Due Date 88kg
Now (11 months PP) 66kg

Oaktreet · 16/10/2025 15:28

56lbs, lost 3 stone in the first year postpartum without trying and still yet to shift the last one. I eat a lot during pregnancy because of nausea and honestly because I'm so miserable that food is my only joy.

Superscientist · 16/10/2025 20:00

Pregnancy 1 I gained 1.5 stone (hyperemesis in the first and third trimesters) and was back at pre pregnancy weight by 10 days pp and went on to lose another 1.5 stone over the following 10 months through breastfeeding and allergy baby and pnd which made me quite unwell. By 3 years post partum I had gained it all back and was about half a stone heavier than before.

The following year I lost the extra half a stone due to two unsuccessful pregnancies with hyperemesis in 6 months. Pregnancy 4 with no hyperemesis and I had gained a stone by 29 weeks and then didn't gain anything else as I started to have issues with my liver and then fatigue and poor physical health. I ended up losing weight at 35 weeks as I struggled to eat enough in the day as I spent too much time asleep. I was induced at 37 weeks and was just 10lbs heavier than pre pregnancy. I had lost this by 3 days post partum. I was back in normal clothes in a week. I'm 5 weeks post partum now and I'm trying really hard not to lose any more weight.

Loveduppenguin · 16/10/2025 20:08

Gained exactly 1stone each time. Babies were 6pound 8oz and 7pound 1oz.

atatotallosss · 16/10/2025 20:08

First baby 20kg, back to pre baby 2 months later with just bf. Second baby I had 5 weeks ago, 9lbs off pre pregnancy weight. I balloon in pregnancy and have no issue afterwards- please don't worry!

DeQuin · 16/10/2025 20:11

I never weighed myself. I was probably at my heaviest in my life when DT were about two. Looking after small kids is a hard time to also take care of yourself and I didn't beat myself up about it (didn't have the headspace). I am now smaller, stronger, and slimmer than I have ever been in my life. Kiddos are young adults. It feels great.

Sagaciously · 16/10/2025 20:12

I gained exactly 20lb (c9kg) with every pregnancy (started at 9 stone) and lost the weight within about 2 weeks. Babies were 9.3 and 7.13.

MauriceTheMussel · 16/10/2025 20:43

Are these based on weight the day before giving birth or after birth?

Nerdynerdynerd · 16/10/2025 20:47

About a million lbs.

I just balloon in pregnancy. 4stone give or take and a year to get back to "normal". It's a joy, I glow (with sweat), my eyelids literally disappear i get so inflamed and puffy. So natural... so beautiful...

quietlysad · 16/10/2025 20:47

Put on six stone with my first and 5.5 stone with my second! I was eight and a half stone before getting pregnant and lost all but the last stone within about three to four months after giving birth. I think a lot was water weight tbh. With my first I had already put on two stone by the 12 week scan! :(

BrightSpark10 · 16/10/2025 20:51

I’m 18 weeks, so far 1kg, bump not even visible yet

Ponderingwindow · 16/10/2025 20:54

Dd was an 8lb 8oz baby. Just prior to her birth, I weighed less than before I got pregnant with her. Hyperemesis is a bitch.

Liondoesntsleepatnight · 16/10/2025 20:55

I gained about a stone

Cinnamonbunn · 16/10/2025 21:00

I’m at the end of my second pregnancy and I’ve gained 18kg again. From 55kg to 73kg. First time around I was back down to normal weight within 2 to 3 months. A lot of it fell off in the first week however because it was additional water, blood, placenta and baby.

mizu · 16/10/2025 21:07

Around 3 stone with both. 22 years pre children ago I probably weighed around 9 and a half stone. I probably didn’t lose it all but was quite happy. Now I weigh almost 11 stone. Only know that as I’ve recently had my HRT review and I had to be weighed.

BlueScrunchies · 16/10/2025 21:23

About 2st, I was toward the end of healthy range before I got pregnant.

DC nearly 3 and I had 3st to lose, I am halfway there! I found it really hard to lose weight, even with breastfeeding, though I had DC in my 30s so didn’t expect to snap back into shape 😅

Anonymous23456 · 16/10/2025 21:27

I lost weight. I had gestational diabetes and went on a very low carb diet. I lost over 2 stone. I actually gained 3 in the year after having my daughter. I literally survived on chocolate, junk food and coke ( the drink not the white stuff)

Danikm151 · 16/10/2025 21:31

I lost 20lb

I had gestational diabetes so was on a strict controlled diet.
gained it all back during maternity leave and covid lockdown though.

Kindafreakingouthere · 16/10/2025 21:31

4.5st gained during pregnancy, no GD or anything 🤦🏼‍♀️ he’s going to be 2 soon and I’m still about 11kg heavier than pre-pregnancy. Cant shift it despite being very fit/active and trying to eat fairly healthy. Before pregnancy I was the type that could eat what I liked and never gain weight so this has been a slap in the face 😂
