Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Are you sure? It could just be your hormone levels not returning to normal yet.

Are you breadt feeding? Have yoy had unprotected sex?

NellieElephantine · 12/10/2025 18:47

It's a miracle!! What a short cycle you must have. And the energy to dtd so soon! Whoopa!!

TheBlueHotel · 12/10/2025 18:48

How did you get pregnant less than a week after giving birth? You couldn't have ovulated that quickly 🤨

MaggieBsBoat · 12/10/2025 18:48

did you have sex within a week of birth. You must have ovulated almost immediately after giving birth. Congratulations if you are happy about it. I wish you best of luck!

Pinkissmart · 12/10/2025 18:48

How do you feel about it?

museumum · 12/10/2025 18:48

Wow. Im amazed you’ve even had time to ovulate. How quickly did you stop bleeding? Im pretty sure I bled quite heavily for around two weeks and lighter for a bit longer.

Mt563 · 12/10/2025 18:51

Honestly, this doesn't seem biologically possible. I'm assuming you've had unprotected sex, therefore taken a test but what you're actually seeing is likely residual hormones from your most recent pregnancy giving you a false positive.

ShowMighty · 12/10/2025 19:06

I agree I’m not sure it’s even possible to be pregnant (and know about it) 3 weeks after giving birth. You’d need to have ovulated at LEAST a week ago to be 7dpo now which really is the absolute earliest (and also quite rare) you could have found out. Ovulating 2 weeks after giving birth would be incredibly unusual.

Endofmynoopy · 12/10/2025 20:05

Hhhmmm 🤔

laesosalt · 12/10/2025 20:41

Ehhhhhhhhhh?

Summerlilly · 13/10/2025 03:33

You still have hgc in your system for 6 weeks after giving birth.

This. Given how long HCG can hang around for after an early miscarriage, I would imagine that testing in the first 6 weeks or so postpartum a live full term birth is much more likely to be residual than a new pregnancy….

Your doctor said yes to what? Without a scan (and that wouldn’t show much until you’re nearly 6 weeks) there’s no way they can tell whether a positive pregnancy test is showing residual HCG from your newborn or is a new pregnancy, especially at just 3 weeks postpartum?!

Marinfamily4 · 17/10/2025 08:46

i had my baby sept 9th
I found out Oct 10th

TheBlueHotel · 17/10/2025 08:55

But do you understand that the pregnancy hormones that are causing a positive pregnancy test are far far more likely to be residual from the baby you've just birthed?! Take another test in 4 weeks.

Yes, I mean the lochia would have barely stopped by the point she’d have had to have ovulated and conceived again, and if she’s also exclusively breastfeeding it just sounds so, so unlikely. I mean maybe not absolutely impossible, but on balance of probabilities it’s got to be left over HCG isn’t it?!

In any case, you’ll need to give it a week or so, both to trust the pregnancy tests and if still positive, book a scan in that’s got a chance of showing you something.
