Not feeling pregnant ???

Hi, I am nearly 6 weeks pregnant. I am starting to worry as I was not as tired yesterday, and also boobs not as sore this morning.

Has anyone experienced this and go on to have a successful pregnancy?

I have no bleeding or cramps. Knickers checking like you would not believe

Is it normal for tiredness to come and go? what about boob soreness?

It is normal for pregnancy symptoms to come and go! And whether or not you have pregnancy symptoms isn't a reliable measure of how well the pregnancy is progressing. Some (lucky) women never have any pregnancy symptoms and go on to have successful pregnancies. Try not to worry - of course there is never any guarentee - but if you don't have cramps or bleeding, then most likely there isn't anything to worry about.

And six weeks is still very early - you may find that morning sickness really kicks in by week 8!

belgo thank you for responding to my question. you are right

I am 7 weeks now and its my 2nd pregnancy and compared to last time I don't feel preggers at all. Last time by now my boobs were really painful i was being sick i had swollen ankles etc etc.... This time around its nothing other than being very very very tired all the time.

I asked my mother and she said its a different baby so you will have a different pregnancy. I did not really think of that until she said it and it does really make sense. and as belgo said come 8 weeks you could be puking .

I'm in the same boat, ohjoy. I'm 5w+5 and my symptoms seem to be slowly diminishing. I had this before, and I had a scan and it was a missed miscarriage, so I'm very worried the same thing is happening.

A week ago, I felt a little nauseous, my boobs were swollen and sore, I was tired, and I was getting regular mild stretching pains. Now I don't really feel very tired, have no stretching pains, no nausea and my boobs are no longer swollen and are getting less sore daily.

I have booked a private scan for Friday, and I'm hoping things will be OK, but I'm not very confident.

Would also like ot hear from anyone who had reducing symptoms, but went on to have a healthy pg.

feetheart · 03/06/2008 10:59

I didn't even know I was pg until I was 15 weeks with DD (always had v irregular periods and was busy so just didn't notice ). Knew MUCH earlier on with DS but apart from tender boobs for a day or two had no symptoms until the heartburn started at about 5 mths!! Wasn't at all sick with either (something I usually keep very quiet about as it really p*sses people off )

Hope you all have trouble-free pregnancies.

cyteen · 03/06/2008 11:02

This is my first pregnancy and I really didn't have any symptoms in the early days at all. Also haven't had any sickness - the worst symptoms I've had throughout have been constipation and tiredness, and tbh the tiredness wasn't all that different from a normal hard days' wear-out anyway. Am 28 weeks now Hope you both go on to have lovely pregnancies, NoNickname and ohjoy.

mrsboogie · 03/06/2008 11:07

me too. had a pg last year which ended in m/c - no symptoms. Am pg again now 24 weeks and have had no symptoms except constipation (caused by pregnacare vits) and a bit of tiredness. If the little blighter is having one of his quiet days I could forget I am pg at all!! I was forever worrying about not feeling pregnant but at this stage I would say to you - don't worry unless you have a reason to.

NoNickname · 03/06/2008 11:08

I don't think I would be worried if I'd never had symptoms, it's just because they are slowly fading that I am concerned. They haven't even calmed down, then come back again, they are just gradually fading.

miffymum · 03/06/2008 11:08

Agree with other posters. Don't worry.

I used to kind-of forget I was pregnant at one stage. Didn't feel sick, bit tired maybe but nothing terrible and life just going on pretty much as normal. You remember again only too well when you get bigger and heavier.

ohjoy · 03/06/2008 11:31

thank you for all your posts.

NoNickname, i hope all go well for you on fri. i have a scan on friday as well...

fingers crossed!

Nonickname, reading all the posts on this threads shows that for the majority of cases, lack of symptoms lead to a normal pregnancy !

so let us try not worry too much!

Will try to stop worrying Good luck for Friday for you too.

jassara · 03/06/2008 12:17

Hi Ohjoy (Heron) my tiredness has worn off now and my sickness only started this week....I,m a couple of weeks in front of you so don't worry too much! Every pregnancy is different even if you had sickness with your Ds you may not have it this pregnancy.
You will feel more relaxed after Friday
X

ohjoy · 03/06/2008 12:43

Hi NoNickname, good luck to you on fri and make sure you post ok?

Hi Jassara, so you are now nearly 8 weeks
have you been to see you doc yet? how are you feeling? i got zit outbreak! 2 volcanoes on my nose - right on the tip!
so embarassing, people at work try not to say anything or look at it !

jassara · 03/06/2008 13:20

Hi heron' i have had some zits but they have come out on my neck and really hurt. My hair has become really lank too, need to wash it every day or it just sticks to my head....oh the joys of pregnancy!

I have posted you on the other thread. got first MW appointment tomorrow, I met her before and she's lovely, really bubbly so that helps because some can be quite matron-like IYNWIM

ohjoy · 03/06/2008 13:23

good luck with your MW appt makes it so real doesnt it?

the thing is, i have not even been to see a doc ! i will soon...

This is a really good website.

When i rang my local surgery, the receptionist said there was no need to go via my GP unless I was worried, just to book in the MW. TBH GP's don't really do much these days they just book you in with the MW....waste of time really.

Will have a look at that website now

ohjoy · 03/06/2008 14:03

hi jassara, really! i did not know that, i thought you had to go through GP...

ok will keep that in mind!

as this is my 2nd pregnancy, i know what to expect as far as antenatal tests and care goes, so not so fussed about fronting up at GP first day of missed period

pls tell me about your visit tomorrow

Will do Heron...

Not sure if it's too early to hear HB with the doppler. Heard Both DS's at nine weeks which was quite early, so not hopeful. She may not even try....

ohjoy · 03/06/2008 14:18

hi jassara, are you going to get your own doppler? i am thinking about getting one...

it is a bit costly, but i think worth it

OP posts:
jassara · 03/06/2008 14:37

I thought exactly the same thing heron. Someone was selling one on here yesterday and I was tempted. Think i'm gonna wait until nuchal scan and fingers x everthing is ok, i may get one. But hopefully i may have relaxed a bit more by then

beckmo · 03/06/2008 14:58

Ahh...ohjoy you have changed your name from Heron, right?Bit slow on the uptake. We are at the same pregnancy stage and I'm feeling the same as you. With DD1 I was constantly nauseous from the start and had to change bra sizes already by now but this time I could honestly forget I'm pregnant. The only sympton I have is tiredness but as I have an 11 month old that's nothing unusual! Not going to worry about it but have decided to book an early scan at 8 weeks anyway.
