Wondering if anyone has got a positive recently and would be due late April / Early May 2026? ✨

Hi! My wife is due 14th May - we did IVF shared motherhood so I did the stims and egg collection, but she had embryo transfer and is the one peeing on sticks and shoving cyclogest where the sun don’t shine. This is our fifth transfer, third round of crazy expensive egg collection, and second time getting this far - she had an early miscarriage / chemical pregnancy in April. I am excited (she has many more symptoms than she did with the chemical) and utterly terrified as my AMH wasn’t great and we’ve had so many failures.

@Wafflesnailscongratulations! Such a nerve wracking time isn’t it?

@BabyBornim on it because I generally have a short luteal phase - didn’t expect to be able to conceive at all. The GP and EPU wouldn’t give it to me because I haven’t miscarried before but I don’t want to have to miscarry to get the meds I need so I got it from tertiary care - they said I probably didn’t need it but I’d rather be safe than sorry

my wife is just 3 or 4 days ahead of you! It’s nerve wracking so early! Congrats

Wafflesnails · 08/09/2025 20:04

@brightandbeautiful89Thank you! Congrats to you too! It really is, feels like such a time to be hopeful yet past experience tells me to not get too excited. It’s such a certain outcome, either baby or no baby, that I find it very hard to be a consistent 75% hopeful rather than experiencing the highs of fantasies with a baby one moment then the lows of imagining a miscarriage the next.

Anxious24 · 08/09/2025 20:26

I’ve got really obsessed with it. That and doing pregnancy tests. I lost a pregnancy at 13 weeks and cannot face another baby funeral

magpie234 · 08/09/2025 21:23

@BabyBorn I had to do ivf and my natural hormones were modified in order to give the team more control over my cycle. So my natural progesterone may not be enough to support a preg hence the pessaries to supplement. I suspect my natural prog may actually have been fine but after 2.5yrs of trying before this first bfp I am happy not to risk it! Mine is actually a natural form of progesterone they use rather than synthetic. I was on synthetic estrogen for a bit and that was terrible!

BabyBorn · 09/09/2025 09:14

Morning ladies! @brightandbeautiful89and @magpie234Ahh I see. Makes lots of sense. A lot of people on the boards have spoken about taking it and I suppose it perhaps covers so many different reasons. Hopefully it will make a difference for you both! These things are so interesting aren’t they. It’s all very much a crazy science!

Wow! 2.5 years! Little miracle!

I feel so lucky to be pregnant right now, especially being 40. x

sellotape12 · 09/09/2025 09:16

Okay, two weeks on and I am definitely low level nauseous all the time but haven’t been sick. It’s more like a hangover. And I want to drop asleep at 11 am and 3:30 pm. I’m going to bed at 9pm haha. I can’t stand the sight of coffee, bananas or pork. And I can smell everyone’s perfume or BO from about 50 m away. It’s so weird huh! 😂

EmilyMae2025 · 09/09/2025 15:05

Hello everyone, hope you’re all having a good day!

I filled out my midwife referral form this morning expecting not to hear back for a week or so, but I’ve already had an appointment offered on the 22nd September. I will only be 6 weeks by then. Is that normal? I don’t have any medical concerns and this is my first pregnancy.
Now I’m worried i put the wrong dates and said I was 4 months instead of 4 weeks or something stupid and they want to get me in asap haha

Any thoughts or advice welcome! Thanks

tiutinkerbell · 09/09/2025 16:22

I had my scan today, nothing to see really apart from checking that it's in the right place which it is but too early to see anything else. Doctor said she is happy with how it looks so far, next scan will be at 12 weeks which seems ages away now!

Still debating on whether we tell anyone or not, I thought this scan might give me some comfort but I still feel like we didn't really see a 'baby' if you know what I mean so I don't feel much better. What has everyone else decided on telling people?

brightandbeautiful89 · 09/09/2025 16:35

@EmilyMae2025i had mine yesterday at 5w4d, I wouldn’t worry.

@tiutinkerbellthats reassuring! How far are you and what did you see?

@brightandbeautiful89 ah ok. That’s reassuring! I have a fear of turning up for an appointment that I shouldn’t be at 😂 when’s your first scan?

brightandbeautiful89 · 09/09/2025 18:28

@EmilyMae2025haha I’m not sure why mine was so early but the midwife was definitely expecting me and aware I’m not far gone. First proper scan isn’t til the end of October although I had one with EPU last week and have one again tomorrow x

JHpr · 09/09/2025 19:37

Has anyone had a negative at 11 dpo which then turned positive?

tiutinkerbell · 10/09/2025 08:57

@brightandbeautiful89 by ovulation I am only 5+2 (7 weeks from last period, but I ovulate very late in my cycle), so we just saw the gestational sac in the correct place to rule out an issues with placement. No yoke sac, fetal pole or heart beat yet as it's still too early. Thought it would ease my mind a little but it still just feels a bit too good to be true so unsure whether to tell people or not!

magpie234 · 10/09/2025 09:47

@BabyBorn @brightandbeautiful89 Thinking of you both today. Just back from our scan and things are progressing well so far (6 + 5) which is a relief. Of course still what feels like forever to go but especially given how rough I am feeling it was nice to actually see a flickering little blob in the right place.

BabyBorn · 10/09/2025 11:03

Morning @magpie234Congratulations! I bet you are over the moon! My scan went well too, I’m measuring 6weeks 3 days and saw the heartbeat flickering away! 🥰 they even gave me a picture! I’m sure everything will go just as well for @brightandbeautiful89xx

magpie234 · 10/09/2025 11:10

@BabyBorn Hurrah! I got a picture too and it cracks me up how blobby it is. Only measures like 7mm apparently! Cute though.

BabyBorn · 10/09/2025 11:13

I know! 😂😂 it was tiny! The sonographer said mine was measuring 7mm too?! But I’m two days behind you?! Weird! 😆 Are you having anymore early scans? I’m going to book one for 10 weeks I think! X
