Feel so daft and selfish.

This baby is so loved and wanted whatever its gender but couldn't help crying when I found out hers is pink.

I'm so daft.

I'm assuming you're pregnant - blame the hormones!

Boys are yummy and they give the best sloppy kisses and hugs.

i have just had my first girl, our 4th.

Oh I know boys are fabulous... I have two!

And 90% of the time I feel like another boy would be just great but then I think about a girl and ... well

I understand. My BF is pg with her second and I am so . Have just convinced dh we should have another lo.

Tutter · 28/05/2008 12:50

lapin didn't knwo you were ttc

best of luck

with ds1 it took forever (well, seemed to)

don't get the pink thing - have 2 boys and if i ever had a 3rd (never will happen. never) i'd want another boy

PuppyDogTails · 28/05/2008 12:53

Me too Tutter, I always wanted a boy. There's a running joke though that any child of ours would be a funny looking girl - We're both over 6 ft and DP's just about as wide too!

You're not daft, I wanted and expected a girl, but having a boy is wonderful - if you have a boy you'll love it.

mrsboogie · 28/05/2008 12:59

I wanted a girl too but only for daft reasons like buying pink sparkly shoes and dresses. Its very true of course that a girl could very sensibly have rejected all this girly nonsense and I will be very very grateful for a healthy live boy in three months time!

LIZS · 28/05/2008 12:59

Do you know for sure yours is a boy ?

Totaly understand Disenchanted. When i was pg with dd i was utterly convinced she was a biy and was devestated when i found i out she wasn't, now i'm pg with no and am really nervous in case it's a boy...i don't know what to do with boys!
I thought you were still quite early, do you know what you're having already? Or are you getting boy "vibes" already?

Oblomov · 28/05/2008 13:30

I am feeling really wierd about this. I have another 5 weeks to wait , before finding out at the 20 weeks scan. Dh had convinced me that it was a girl and then I suddenly realised, that it could be a boy. This hadn't occured to me before [stupid emotion].
Atleast we are all dealing with this all now, rather than post birth.

Daniya · 28/05/2008 14:21

Have you thought of swapping with your friend

Sorry - only joking - but I thought someone should make the silly comment!

ladytophamhatt · 28/05/2008 14:38

I knwo hwo you feel.

I cried and cried when I found out DS4 was a boy.

It wasn't because I didn't want anotehr boy, not for one second....but for the little girl I'd never have.
I wanted to paint my duaghters toenails, plait her hair, buy stripey/flowery tights....I wanted to be the mother of the bride!

Boys are great and I love being a mother to 4 of them....

SoupDragon · 28/05/2008 14:44

I had 2 boys and then DD. She terrifies me. I do boy dragons, not girls. I know how you feel thoug. I was always incredibly sad when friends had girls as I assumed I wouldn't have one. Then when I found out babyDragon was a girl I was upset at the loss of my Boy Gang and worried about what I'd do with a girl

I'm with LTH. I have 2 boys and no more are likely. I meet up with a friend and her dd every week and have a weekly moment where I long for a girl.
