Has anyone had one of these?? Apparently they are really rare. I'm 7 weeks after my d&c and still have high pregnancy hormone levels which is worrying me.
Thanks

Thinking of you. I had one between dc1 & dc2 (went on to have 2 more healthy dc after it) It's awful because it's so rare people don't understand it. Are your levels dropping? My Consultant said that mine was one of the biggest masses he'd ever seen, my hcg levels were off the scale. I was monitored for 8 months before my hcg went to zero and we were cleared ttc again. As long as your levels are dropping and you are being monitored you will be okay. There will always be the threat of cancer but the prognosis is extremely good in the rare event that it turns cancerous. Best of luck.

I've only just one blood draw so far. It still seems quite high for me so I'm worrying

I had a molar pregnancy 21 years ago so things might have changed since then. Basically you have to have bloods and urine tests for at least 6 months and you must not get pregnant in that time. Once you have the all clear you can try again but after each pregnancy you will have to be tested again.

it will take time for your levels to go back to normal so please try not to stress. They’ll keep an eye on you until they drop.

I'm sorry to read you have gone through this. I had one in 2023, but was lucky in that my levels came down quite quickly, though it felt interminable! What's your levels like at the moment? I hope you are feeling okay. Have you got support? I talked with one of the nurses at Charing Cross who was so helpful.

Hello last week they were 1700. I've had bleeding today which has thrown me as my levels seem too high for a period ( plus last night early pregnancy test was strong positive) I might email Channing cross and mention the bleeding. Sorry you went through one too. There really seems not much info about it on the internet. The molar pregnancy website the forum doesn't exist anymore

@WHYohwhy12 Hi yes I had a period when my levels were at 30, I don't think you can have a period above 100 really. I would definitely give them a ring and see if you could get some answers. Hopefully at your next blood test you can see a good drop.
Yes info is a little scarce but I did end up using mumsnet quite a bit - I made a thread I can link to if that might be helpful?
