Tentatively making this bus, as I don’t think there is one yet. Got the start of my BFP yesterday, and I can see the line developing today. Going to continue to test until AF is due. So far due 2nd Feb 😬 Anyone with me?

yes i did. Also have had miscarriage since. And to make matters worse im a community midwife ( don’t come for me as we get a lot of hate 🤣but are so overworked and unstaffed )
i try to give my ladies reassurance yet i am my own worse enemy.
I also have under active thyroid and found out this morning my TSH is 7.5 ( should be below 2.5) so now i’m preparing myself for a miscarriage even if it is in the right place :(

hope everyone else’s pregnancies go well 🌈✨💕

definitely don’t admit to that, a MW in my last group basically got harassed for advice 24/7 🤣

jelliebean9 · 13/06/2025 16:03

Anyone else pre 6 weeks and noticed that the being breathless when exercising or walking fast thing has got worse? Maybe it’s the heat. It’s really hot down south today. But wow. The nursery runs have done me in today. Is that normal? Don’t remember it this bad with my DS, but then I was also able to slow down and not do a lot 😂

ally62442 · 13/06/2025 16:07

@2Sugars2My tests are similar to yours. They slowly got darker and I eventually got a dye stealer. I’ll attach a picture to show you. In previous pregnancies I have used more expensive tests to track my line progression. An they had always been brighter quicker. So I just think the strip tests aren’t as sensitive. Mine had me worried too but everything is gd so far. So I think your lines also look good.

My dye stealer isn’t in the photos I stuck that in my pregnancy journal.

I got a dye stealer with the PreMom strips at 20dpo, I do think you’re spot on and they just take longer to get ‘that dark’! It’s weirdly satisfying when it happens though!

What level of Levo are you on? I have been on 75mg since pregnant with DD2 (up from 50mg before - and for some reason they didn’t up my prescription with DD1) and have been pretty consistently 1.99 or thereabouts every time I’ve had bloods done ever since.

i was on 100mcg but now 125 since finding out on monday. what’s odd is that i had it check in april and was 0.99 😩

haha not me personally but have seen some people commenting on other threads about how awful some midwives are and how doulas hate us. I’m part of the homebirth team so have a really good relationship with doulas before anyone comes for me 🤣🤣🤣

MountainBunny · 13/06/2025 19:27

I'm really interested in finding out more about doulas. My ex was so disparaging of the idea but he was absolutely no help. In fact, he was downright unhelpful. I wish I'd followed my gut and had someone impartial there.

I'm doing it on my own this time round (IUI) and am considering either having no birth partner, or having a doula. I have to have a hospital birth anyway.

Parttimepaula · 13/06/2025 19:38

@MountainBunny I’m considering hiring a doula because I had such traumatically poor care last time around.
I would love a homebirth but after an emergency section last time I’m not sure they’ll let me (although I’m absolutely going to try!)

I’ve been sick the last week I think. Yours definitely sounds worse than mine though, I’m normally just once a day

Oh dear, feel better soon. How many weeks are you?

I've found rice cakes, pretzels, and dry cereal like frosties or cornflakes and ice lollies help with my nausea.

Also eating slowly.

Hope you feel better.

clingerspaniel · 13/06/2025 21:54

Thank you for the advice further up thread @Bas27 and @jelliebean9. I managed to speak to the GP who put me on Cyclizine. It has helped marginally with general feeling, but I’ve been off work all week, haven’t left bed and am still throwing up 5+ times per day with the full dose! I’m barely eating a thing, but feel starving. Will be seeing GP again next week.

Hbw18 · 13/06/2025 21:59

Hi all, I’m around 5 weeks 6 days with my third - I knew I was pregnant before I did a test this week (I ordered the prenatal vitamins before the pregnancy test 😂).
I had a MMC between my first and second so feeling quite anxious but going to book in for an early scan around week 7 which will hopefully help! It feels a bit surreal!

Thanks so much for sharing yours... it's nice to see other comparisons & comforting to know it looks like it's moving in the right direction!

Morning ladies, I have gone and freaked myself out… I think I am 24 DPO, so 5 weeks 3 days. Last night I had the most lovely moment at a wedding where my brother told me that he is expecting his first child, and of course I was shocked and said im
expecting too, and he was just so excited it was lovely! On Tuesday I did a clear blue digital which says 2-3 weeks…. This morning I have done another one expecting for it to say 3+ weeks… it doesn’t, it’s still 2-3. I have had MMC before so now I’m totally deflated. Other than those iv just been using cheapie strip tests which are really dark but I wouldn’t say any of them look any different now but maybe that’s because they have reached their darkest. Just wondered if anyone else had ever had similar and gone on to be ok. Thanks

What a beautiful moment to share with your brother! I know how hard it is not to worry, especially after a loss. But those Clearblue weeks indicators can be so unreliable because they measure HCG and not how far along you are from ovulation. Your HCG can be just on the very threshold and it’s totally normal. I got worried when it didn’t shift but two days after it did. The fact that your cheapies are still dark is a really good sign ❤️

CharlotteRae · 14/06/2025 05:45

@BerrieSweetthankyou for replying, I feel annoyed with myself for doing one of those digital weeks ones as all they do is create worry! My brother was going to tell me dad for Father’s Day tomorrow (even better to tell him both of his children are expecting) but this result sort of took the shine off it! I don’t really have many symptoms either, my boobs are slightly tender when touch but not bad at all and just get the odd crampy niggle but that’s basically it, which doesn’t help the worry x

Your feelings are so valid even if I don’t think you should worry ❤️ I don’t have any symptoms either, I’m 5+5 and only got sore boobs. But I was at an early scan this week and everything looked perfectly fine. At that scan I only had 2-3 on clearblue still.

CharlotteRae · 14/06/2025 06:29

@BerrieSweetoh that’s so reassuring! I have just been down a TikTok hole and saw that you can look at the lines inside the digital, so of course I have taken it apart to see for myself haha. The lines actually look fairly dark and when I compare them to others that have opened up and had a 3+ weeks result I can’t tell a lot of difference so feeling a bit better. We have a scan at EPU on the 26th so time will tell! How far along are you now? X

Bas27 · 14/06/2025 06:44

Thanks @Eeebee14and @BGxxx- I’m 7 weeks.
yeah I’ve found the smaller fixes completely useless because it’s hg and nothing really helps. The Hank’s for trying to help though 🖤🖤 @BGxxx
@clingerspanielglq sorry you’re being sick too!!d you’re going back to drs. I think they will try metaclopromide next in combination with cyclizine. I think I may have to do the same.
Had some very very light spotting this morning. It’s stopped now but completely freaked me out!! I never had it in pregnancy before so started spiralling.

Morning due date twin. I’m also 5+3! So sorry for your loss with your MMC. Totally understand how anxious it would make you. As others have said. Those naughty weeks indicator thingys can cause sooo much stress and there are a lot of threads on here I’ve read. They all suggest that those tests shouldn’t be used to track progression as the HCG can fluctuate and give you a different result daily. Obvs causing so much anxiety. Please try not to worry about what result they’ve given you. I think others have also said in here that they’ve never reached 3+ in previous pregnancy and then carried to term. And others have said they got 3+ and still miscarried. So it’s definitely not an indicator of how viable a pregnancy is. That is lovely news that your brother and sister in law are also expecting the same time. Are you very close in weeks? We’ve got our scan booked for 8+3 on the 5th July. Feels so so far away!

Hope you're ok with the spotting, I had this at the start of the week and was freaking out too, but it was very light and has stopped now. Nothing more stressful than going to the toilet constantly to check! But I know it's super common and a symptom of the first trimester so whilst its hard not to worry, I think it's important to remember that!

CharlotteRae · 14/06/2025 07:02

@jelliebean9thanks so much for replying! Yes you’re totally right, at this stage you just don’t know either way do you. We just have to hope for the best! My brother and sis in law aren’t sure how far along they are, they hadn’t officially started trying so she hadn’t tracked her last couple of cycles. They have a scan next week booked through as the last period she logged was in march so the dr was like errrr so in theory you could be 12 weeks pregnant 🙈( no idea how she doesn’t know if she’s had a period since 😂) but at least they have a nice early scan.y fertility nurse booked us a scan on the 26th so hoping to be around 7 weeks then. It feels so far away doesn’t it! Are you having many symptoms? I feel like I’m getting away far too easily 😬 xx
