Tentatively making this bus, as I don’t think there is one yet. Got the start of my BFP yesterday, and I can see the line developing today. Going to continue to test until AF is due. So far due 2nd Feb 😬 Anyone with me?

Ultrasound at week 5+0 went well! Everything looked good considering how far along I am. It was quite low-detail since it was such an early ultrasound, but it felt so reassuring to have confirmation that there is something there and actually see it with my own eyes! We also took a blood test so I can track my HCG increase over time because I wanted to hehe.. 😂 I didn’t get a picture, was to shy to ask but I found one on Google that looks similar to what I saw for those who are interested / in a similar week as me 🥰 I will have a new scan next week 6+2!

Mine is around the 12th Feb. DS was 2 weeks early, so could also be a Jan baby. I’m anticipating this one being the total opposite and going to 42 weeks though 🤪

Oh that’s fab news! How reassuring to know it’s all in the correct location 😍 next week can’t come soon enough!

Having a little freak out, I've got some light brown spotting and a different kind of ache from the stuff I've had to date. Worried it's another miscarriage. I could go to walk in EPU tomorrow but just don't know what to do tbh, maybe I should just wait it out and see if it gets worse.

Sorry that was meant for you. My scan isn’t booked until the 5th July, just over 8 weeks! The way my husbands shifts work and the appointments available at the scan place we’re using, it just worked out then or more like 6 weeks and I wanted to wait until closer to 8 weeks to its halfway between now and the NHS scan 🤪

WildFinch · 10/06/2025 17:37

Sorry to see this @MO22 how many weeks are you?
Can you call the EPU for advice?
I had brown spotting through weeks 5-6 with my first pregnancy. It never got heavier and they could find no cause. They did bring me in at 7 weeks and we saw a heartbeat. All this to say it could be old blood working its way out. If it doesn't get heavier they're likely to say keep an eye on it.

How many weeks are you lovely? In the early weeks. Like 6-8 weeks there are a lot of changes in the cervix that can cause minor bleeding or brown spotting. I had brown spotting around week 6 with DS, I panicked and phoned my midwife and she said all is fine as long as it’s not bright red and constant. Or loads of pain! But I would always always always say get it checked, it’s not worth the toll and worry on your mental health. They’re always there to reassure you, so def go to the walk in tomorrow 🙏

I am 5 and a half weeks at the moment. I actually had this in my last pregnancy and he's now two TBF but it doesn't stop the anxiety. The EPU near me is walk in in the morning so I could go but it's unlikely there will be a heart beat anyway I think right? So maybe waiting it out is the best course of action.

Anonowl · 10/06/2025 18:56

@HannahTheBanana oh yes, totally normal! I remember my heart rate was high all of first trimester with my son.

I'll be getting the NIPT as early as possible, as I've just turned 40. I'll see how I get on with the early scan tomorrow and then book one in if all is ok.

I'm also considering the amnio, but scared of the MC risk. Then again, the alternative of what's possible scares me too and weve got to consider potential impact on our son if say, a severe disability was found. A very loaded and sensitive subject, I know xx

Anonowl · 10/06/2025 18:57

@BerrieSweet wonderful news! Hoping to see similar at my 5+ 2/3 scan tomorrow.

@MO22 hope you're ok xx

clingerspaniel · 10/06/2025 20:15

I’m 6+1 today and have been bed bound with nausea and vomiting, I have been ‘properly’ sick around 5-6 times today and have managed to eat very little (although not immediately sick post eating). Is this typical for this stage?! I had a similar day last week, and then less severe days with some activity and normal food in between. If so, I have severely underestimated what the next few weeks will look like!

Raegs · 10/06/2025 21:47

A2025 · 09/06/2025 23:38

@Raegs Feeling good so far! Not many symptoms yet. Had a bit of cramping here and there and my boobs are a little sore today. That’s it really! What about you? You are on the countdown to the scan I’m sure. I hope all goes well for you! I’m going to the GP tomorrow to confirm the pregnancy. Then it will start to feel a bit more real! Still so early but hopefully it will stick.

@A2025 Confirm with a blood test? Hope went all ok.

Feeling tired and a bit crampy at the moment. Still having to take 5 estrogen tablets and 2 progesterone pessaries a day so not sure if it is due to that more than anything else.

That sounds like HG. Is this your first? It’s a good idea to get straight in with the GP tomorrow and get on anti sickness meds. If it turns into full blown HG, the earlier you can curb with meds the better. Hope you feel better soon. Keep us updated on how you are 🙏🩷

That’s perfect and a much more reasonable week to do a scan at than me 🤭 you’re gonna see so much 🥹 I hope the weeks pass by fast for you! ❤️

Been up since 4 am (when my toddler woke me up) and can’t go back to sleep. Wide awake panicking about having a 3rd child 🥲 this better not become a nightly occurrence or I’ll be exhausted long before this baby is born.

Oh bless you! Change is hard, isn’t it? When life is good as we know, the amount of what ifs always creep in when it’s those quiet early hours! I keep waking up at 4am too. I don’t then spend the time worrying though, I just want to be back asleep but my brain won’t let me 😂 instead of worrying I think about how I only have 2 bedrooms and how can I make a 3rd 🤣

I agree with @jelliebean9 it sounds like you have HG. Please get checked out, if you can’t keep anything down you’re likely dehydrated and they may want to give you fluids at the epu. I was like this with my first and worse with my second. They should start you on cyclizine.
I recognised the signs this time so have already started on it before throwing up. If that doesn’t work there are other medications/combos they can try. Please update us with how you’re doing!

@MummaBear18291what are the things hat are worrying you? Are they just as scary in the light of day?
I definitely have a long list of what ifs re number 3. But trying to banish them because a lot of it we won’t know until baby arrives. We’ve just got to leap.
i was on the fence for a long while because of the unknowns and also there were a long list of “negatives” but ultimately my subconscious actions said it all.
we kept all our baby clothes. They’re in the garage.
one Christmas (in 2023 I think) I bought us all matching Christmas stockings and a bought a spare. I have one still in the wrapper “just in case” because I didn’t want a potential #3 not to match the rest of us. I had definitely already decided in my heart, regardless of any worries.
my son (6) is autistic with adhd. My daughter (3) seems neurotypical (although I’m keeping a close eye on her incase she’s just hiding it very well) my son thankfully, although a handful, doesn’t have extreme needs but I don’t know what needs this baby may or may not have and that’s probably my biggest worry.

Morning all,
@Dreamymama@ally62442i also have a 2 Feb due date and my first scan is on 24th July. Similar journeys!

Is anyone not doing a scan before their first nhs one at 12 weeks? DH and I have agreed not to this time but now I’m questioning that decision. There’s no reason to think I’m not pregnant but it’s so hard when there’s no bump yet and I haven’t seen or heard anything either. I’ve got my first midwife appt in two weeks and I’m sure with my first I heard the heartbeat at the booking in appt but Google tells me this is not usually the case so perhaps I have misremembered. Just really feeling like I need a bit of proof!

My first scan is 23rd July! I feel the same I want to get a scan but not going to do it either.
my first midwife appointment is also in 2 weeks, but I don’t remember hearing the heart beat with my first one ok the appointment, I hope that is the case this time we might get to hear it!
I feel the same I do have symptoms but I still am not able to believe I am pregnant 😅😅

Mads96 · 11/06/2025 09:45

Tentatively joining 🤞 unsure of a due date as I think I ovulated late this cycle. Will be baby #3, I am much more anxious this time and worried things will go wrong already :( hoping for a happy healthy pregnancy and baby

I will do NIPT at 10 weeks, just because I’m 39…
the reassurance scans don’t reassure me personally
so much, as in my first pregnancy, the first scan at 6 weeks where I could hear the heartbeat turned into MMC at 8 weeks… If not my age, I’d be waiting for 12 week scan…

WildFinch · 11/06/2025 10:43

Morning! @G0ldfinch I'm also due 2 Feb! Because of two miscarriages EPU brought me in for a scan when I was 5 weeks to check position. All looked good. I'm going back on 16 June when I'll be 7w+2d, last year heartbeat stopped around that time with my MMC. I couldn't bear waiting to 12 weeks to find out heart had stopped weeks before. Although having a MMC means the scans don't really reassure me either. Not ideal!

@HannahTheBanana I haven't looked into NIPT but think we'll go for that as I'm 39, does it have to be done before a certain time?

I haven't even filled in my midwife referral form yet because it doesn't feel real 😕
