Tentatively making this bus, as I don’t think there is one yet. Got the start of my BFP yesterday, and I can see the line developing today. Going to continue to test until AF is due. So far due 2nd Feb 😬 Anyone with me?

@MummaBear18291 I’m also 14DPO and I’ve been trying not to test too much because looking for progression is driving me crazy! I’ve managed not to today, I find it helps to tell myself every day ‘I’m pregnant today’ it stops me getting too anxious

Looks like we’re in a v similar position! I’m skipping today but tbh it’s probably because I don’t have another FRER in the house right now. New batch being delivered tomorrow but I’ll try to only test every few days until an early scan. Testing is making me super anxious too yet I keep doing it 🙃 I will try your mantra, thanks!

LCA07 · 05/06/2025 19:03

I’m glad I’m not the only anxious one! I just find it hard to believe there’s a baby in there at this point. I tested too early on one of the nhs tests so we made peace with the negative test and started planning for the 3rd round of iui- then I just had a gut feeling and tested one morning. So maybe the way it all happened as well is just adding to my doubts! I’m very very lucky to be getting my 7 week scan- just counting down the days now! I’m not telling my parents until after the scan so they must think I don’t like them because I’m barely speaking to them 😂

For those of you still testing, how is your line progression looking? My lines are not getting lighter but at the same time, there isn’t that much of a difference day to day. 14 DPO today and decided I won’t test today but might do another test tomorrow to hopefully see a bigger difference. I’m feeling so anxious all the time, it’s unhealthy!

Mine had progressed nicely up to today at 15dpo so I’m stopping now because I know I’ll obsess and end in a bad place! I’ve got a clear blue weeks that I’ll do on Sunday maybe and hopefully get 2-3 weeks. Then I’m leaving it in the hands of the powers that be!

Those of you doing private early scans. What weeks are you booking them for?

Bas27 · 05/06/2025 20:09

I am feeling so nauseous 🤢🤢 husband is on nights and my older two are fighting bedtime so hard. All I want to do is crash out. 🤢

I’ve booked one for when I’m just over 6 weeks, not really expecting a heartbeat but would be good to rule out an ectopic

We did 8 weeks last time, I’m aiming for 7 this time I think

@MummaBear18291im still testing I really need to stop. I’m 20dpo today. I panicked yesterday because I had a slightly lighter line. So I did another this morning and it was back to being as bright as the control line. So I definitely shouldn’t do anymore. But it’s so hard because until a scan this is all you have to go by.

I'm 20 DPO as well! 😉😂

Getting some really really light cramping tonight.
I don’t know if it’s just because I had a super busy day at work on my feet.
my partner and I have sat and had a chat about baby tonight, which is the first time we really have. He’s less anxious about it than me now. Definitely going to have to book an early scan for my nerves

I had an NHS one at 5w to confirm in the right place have got a follow up on 16 June I'll be 7w2d. Then I'll book a private one for around 9 weeks before we're due on holiday with my in-laws. I read if there's a heartbeat after 8 weeks the risk of miscarriage decreases quite a lot. Heartbeat stopped at 7w4d last year so hoping for the best 🙏

Tofu35 · 05/06/2025 21:42

6 weeks today, just some mild nausea but I'm becoming very impatient- don't know if I'm just in a grumpy mood today or if it's hormonal. Also cannot get enough sweets, need to hide the chocolate biscuits from myself - zero willpower! 😂

Hello- just curious how you got an early scan at 5w through NHS? I’m currently 5w3d and I’ve had a miscarriage at 6w with my previous pregnancy back in Feb. Went to the GP few days ago just because I was super anxious with this pregnancy and when I asked for a scan, they said they no longer do early scans and stopped it just before Covid. Just confused on what I should be doing next or how I can get an early scan through NHS? I’m planning to do maybe do a private scan at around 7/8w but I’m super impatient and feeling anxious.

You normally can’t get an early one for a miscarriage unless you’ve had 3 or more, or you’re having bleeding and cramping in your current pregnancy. I’ve been given an nhs one at 7 weeks because I had a ruptured ectopic in February

BGxxx · 06/06/2025 07:35

@jelliebean9 ive got one this weekend at 6 weeks, then the epu one at 7 weeks, and then I think I’ll have another private one at 10 weeks. I went at 10.5 with my little girl and it was such a lovely scan I want to do it again😂

Hi, I suspect it depends a bit on the area you're in. I asked about progesterone and aspirin after my second miscarriage in Feb they said to call as soon as I fall pregnant again. I had a lot of spotting with my missed miscarriage last year. They won't give you progesterone until they confirm it's in the womb not ectopic that's why it was such an early scan. They still didn't give me progesterone as I don't have any bleeding. I've started aspirin myself though.

I know they don't typically scan before 6/7 weeks as there is no heartbeat it can cause more worry. If you have no bleeding or pain this time try to relax and take each day as it comes. I know that's easier said than done. I try the mantra, today I am pregnant, which I read on here. Wishing you the best xx

Agree with everyone else. It definitely depends on the trust and the area you’re in. My best friend and hubs have been TTC for 8 years, multiple IVF failures etc. Never any losses, she just couldn’t fall. She finally had success with IVF and started bleeding at 5 weeks EPU told her they wouldn’t scan until 8 + 4 at the earliest as there was nothing they could do if she was loosing it. She booked a private scan and all was absolutely fine. When she finally for the EPU one, they discovered it was the IVF meds making her bleed. Changed things up and it stopped. She’s now 18 weeks!

EPU is so hit and miss!! I honestly think it depends who you get on the phone sometimes

What dosage are people taking for the aspirin? I can't remember what I room last time, is it 75mg? Need to buy some today.

Any fellow IBS sufferers here? How you holding up? 🙄😆

75mg Mo22 but people are different. The Hospital did tell me 75mg though 🙂

MummaBear18291 · 06/06/2025 10:15

Did anyone experience bleeding as a result of taking aspirin? I was on it in my last pregnancy and had quite a lot of bleeding before 12 weeks most likely due to aspirin. I feel like I should be taking it again this time round but worried about bleeding. I was prescribed it last time due to recurrent chemical pregnancies.

WildFinch · 06/06/2025 10:54

@MO22 I've been taking 75mg gastro-resistant ones I got from Boots. I found it hard to find the lower dosage ones oddly.

@MummaBear18291 I haven't had any bleeding yet but it sounds like that would be very stressful. Can you speak to the EPU or your GP if you're worried this time?

My GP is referring me to someone to discuss. Want to know the risks of both taking and not taking it. All ended well with my previous pregnancy so the bleeding clearly didn’t affect the baby but like you say, it was super stressful (like full on period some days!)

Joining this thread today, I hope that’s ok! I have had a faint positive this morning so still not 100% convinced it’s real. I’m 40yrs old and have PCOS so no idea when I ovulated but going on the start of my LMP due date would be 14th Feb! Will be testing again over the next few days to see if the line develops!
