Tentatively making this bus, as I don’t think there is one yet. Got the start of my BFP yesterday, and I can see the line developing today. Going to continue to test until AF is due. So far due 2nd Feb 😬 Anyone with me?

Had my scan and they couldn’t see anything in my uterus but also not in my tubes. I’m 4 weeks 2 days and they said it possibly is just too early. They also said I probably ovulated from my left side but the pain is in my right so trying to take some comfort from that.

they said my lining is thickened which is a good sign.

Just a waiting game now.

Was such a horrible triggering experience. I burst into tears in the scan room.

I hope your scan goes well @blooshboon !

@Parttimepaula I’m still breastfeeding. I was so ready to give up but after my miscarriage if weirdly sent me backwards and now I’m not ready to give up my baby 🤣 she’s nearly 2 and a half and I only feed once a day now.

That does seem early to see anything on a scan, are they going to rescan you at all?
I find early scans really triggering after 4 MCs (a very very long time ago)
I think I’ll maybe wait for 12 weeks this time…only 8 to go!!

my little one is so far away from once a day, she feels like a 6 month old!

PopsiCola · 04/06/2025 11:37

Yes they said either next week or the week after depending on my blood tests. I’ve got one today and one on Friday.

I would wait if I hadn’t had an ectopic before but it’s so scary when you get the pain.

blooshboon · 04/06/2025 12:42

Just came out so they could see yolk sac measuring around 5.6 but no baby in there, they’ve booked another scan for 16 June, I’d be further to the point I should be able to see stuff. But it’s all in right place and I ovulated from left side which is reassuring as the pain is on the right side.

They’ve said that I had a cyst on my left ovary too which could be causing the pain on my left shoulder but also because this is the 5th pregnancy said my body could be just picking up on it quicker and releasing the ( relaxin ) hormone quicker which woukd lead to soft ligaments - round ligament pain xx

Oh that’s great there was something to see and it’s all the right place. Crossing fingers and toes that the next scan brings more good news 🙏 xxxx

Oh round ligament pain….the things you forget about previous pregnancies!!

that all sounds super positive! And the 16th of June will be here in no time! I find it amazing the difference they see in only a couple of weeks!

I’ve just gone to register with docs etc but you can’t in our area until 6 weeks minimum, so annoying

MountainBunny · 04/06/2025 13:05

Glad both scans went well today @blooshboon and @PopsiCola

I remember that feeling well. When I had my second child (after a miscarriage) my dates were all over the place so I had to go for an early scan, and when they couldn't find a heartbeat I sobbed. It was just too early and my baby is now 9, so very much made it!

This is my fourth pregnancy and the hormones have definitely hit me hard. I did a ClearBlue weeks test this morning as I didn't feel that the line was getting that much darker on the cheapies, and it came up with 2-3 (weeks, not babies... which is what my 11 year old was worried about...) so I'm reassured for now.

I had IUI to get pregnant so I have an early scan booked for the end of June. I'll probably book a NIPT too as I'm 40 so chromosonal issues are much higher risk.

Well I had two big follicles ready to go so there could be more than one. Although my car is not big enough so I hope not.

Hello, due the 9th and this is my first time!

We tried for a while and at 39 years old I worried about additional complications for this baby (i feel fit).

Ah I am due on the 9th Jan too :) Also my first and I am 38. How have you been feeling?

Oops - got confused... thought this was the due January thread 😂

WildFinch · 04/06/2025 16:00

Hi everyone,

Not sure if I'm tempting fate as this is my third time joining one of these threads. MMC last July and a spontaneous miscarriage in Feb this year. I'm 39 so shout out to the older mummas! I'm due 1 Feb currently 5w+3d.
I had a scan at EPU on Tuesday and they could see the sac and yolk in the right place, I'm going back on 16 June to check growth. Finding the scans very hard after seeing a heartbeat last year then finding out it stopped shortly after was such a shock.
Love reading everyone's posts, wishing us all healthy journeys!

MM013 · 04/06/2025 16:06

Hi @WildFinch
hoping this is a happy, healthy pregnancy for you and you have a little baby in your arms soon!
im also due early Feb, and 5w+3d. How exciting about the scans! I’m currently still trying to decide if I want a private scan at 7-8w

MO22 · 04/06/2025 16:09

Hello everyone, hoping to join if that's ok. Unexpectedly got my BFP at I think 12 DPO on Saturday and just trying to get my head round it all. I'm absolutely thrilled, DH shocked...
I am quite anxious as haven't been on any supplements, medications etc (have PCOS, hypothyroidism) and have had a miscarriage previously so trying not to freak out about my body not being prepared! We've got a terrorist toddler too, so feeling a bit overwhelmed at the thought of pregnancy and that. I think I'm almost 5 weeks now, settling in for my third go at the first trimester which is always feels like FOREVER. Has anyone had an early scan yet??

I turn 38 tomorrow, supporting the oldie crew! So sorry to hear about your MMC, I had the same a few years back, I have everything crossed for you!

I felt very similar about scans, the first time we saw a heart beat at 10w only for it not to progress at 12w. I have found any scanning since then so anxiety inducing...

Thanks! I'll be 7w+2 at my next EPU scan but we're definitely booking a private one around 9 weeks. We're due to go away with my husband's family and will tell them so I want extra reassurance as it'll be before my 12 week scan.

Welcome and congratulations! So sorry to hear about your experience, that would have been awful 😞 the waiting seems endless doesn't it. I've only tested twice this time to confirm it and have tried to take each day as it comes. Definitely starting to feel more symptoms now, although not loving the mid-afternoon nausea.

MO22 · 04/06/2025 16:35

@WildFinch I've done 3 tests so far but one of those was to convince my husband 😂 I'm trying to put them away now, and just accept what will be will be until/if I get to 12w scan. That feels extremely far away tbh at this point but each day at a time and all that!

Symptoms always reassuring but then I worry when I have a better day! I've definitely felt a bit worse with this one so far but not unmanageable, just absolutely exhausted and nauseous. Plus extremely tingly nipples, never had that before! Pregnancy is so weird.

I’m in the same boat supplement wise. Have fished out some pregnacare from the back of the cupboard.

I had to take aspirin daily for my previous preg due to multiple miscarriages, it may well be recommended for some of you soon

Ah so I have been stressing about this!
I took low dose aspirin from ovulation the pregnancy with my son until about 12ws, recommended by a wonderful NHS fertility consultant who listened to me bawl my eyes out on the phone. I've wondered if I should do it for this one too? I guess it can't hurt?

I am going to for the first 12 weeks and then longer if they suggest it, my toddler was my first successful pregnancy after 4 miscarriages so I will try to replicate everything if I can

WildFinch · 04/06/2025 16:48

@MO22 @Parttimepaula I've also started taking low dose aspirin. I felt I wanted to do something to try and prevent another MC. My research seems to say it wouldn't hurt. I'll mention it to the EPU when I'm there next.

I remember the consultant gave me a handful of research on it and it really did point to there being no harm in it.
i was so cautious but went along with it and I’m glad I did

Me too. Gynae refused my GP’s referral and advised against progesterone because I’ve “only” (that word pissed me off!) had 2 miscarriages and am not bleeding. But I’ve bought and will be continuing to take the baby aspirin that the doctor mentioned.

I've had one miscarriage but my clinic have prescribed me Progesterone.

I'm actually in the middle of a formal complaint against my GP who told me I can't have PCOS because I have two children already, and I'm not overweight 🙄
