Pregnancy test lines not getting any darker?

I’m just looking for some reassurance or opinions on this…
So on Saturday (2 days before AF due) I did a cheap strip test that showed a faint line so the following day I did a clear blue digital in the middle of the day not even with FMU and that said pregnant 1-2 then yesterday (day AF due) I decided to do a FRER test and that had a pretty decent line but not as dark as the control line.
Anyway this morning I decided to test again with the FRER and the line has came back exactly the same as yesterday no darker and I did another strip test also that is still showing up very faint..
In anyone else’s experience is this normal considering im now only 1 day late for AF and it’s only been 3 days since I first tested?
I feel like I should stop testing and just give it a week but it’s so hard when we have been trying for almost a year and this is the closest we have been..
( I have attached photos of the FRER tests top one from yesterday morning and bottom on is from this morning)

Line progression is not an accurate measure of anything other than whether you are or are not pregnant. Some people will claim otherwise, but there are far too many variables for it to be a reliable indicator of anything. If it’s showing a line, take it that you’re still pregnant until you have a reason to believe otherwise.

This is completely normal. Mine didn’t come up really dark until about 7-9 days post missed period. Try not to test daily as there won’t be a huge difference between them. Do every 2-3 days. Also Do the test first thing in the morning. Good luck

Those are good lines! When I had a chemical pregnancy my lines didn’t get anywhere near that dark xx

These are excellent lines.

I didn’t even get a positive till my period was late. It was very faint. I tested a few days later and the line got lighter. I tested later in the day and it was darker but not much. My lines never got darker than this. It took another week before I got a 2-3 on a digital. I never got a 3+.

Everything was perfectly fine! She’s now almost 6 years old.

Line progression isn’t an exact science. There are many reasons it might not be darker like your urine being more diluted.

I think stepping away from the tests would be best. I drove myself bonkers looking for line progressions. Test again in a week if you have to but right now you’re pregnant, don’t stress yourself out comparing lines!

I think I might wait until Friday and maybe test then .. it’s so hard not to test every day though but I know what you are saying it’s best to give it time

@elliesmummy19 Reading this does make me feel better thank you! I think I just got it in my head that my test should have gotten darker after seeing other people’s tests but I get what your saying .. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed although I have been having a bit of an achey feeling in my lower back & lower abdomen on and off for the last 2 days but not painful just very dull aching and no blood or anything, I’m just telling myself it’s due to all of the changes happening

My tests didn't get darker, I tested every day for probably 10 days and they pretty much stayed the same. DS was born last week.

It’s easier said than done to be patient, and the anxiety can be hard to manage in those early days, I remember it well. But is honestly just step away from the tests for your own sanity sake! Hope all goes well for you x

I tried my best to wait a few days to do another test but did FRER test earlier today that showed up darker than the day before & not far off the control line followed very shortly by lower backache that has just went on all day getting increasingly worse along with brown discharge..
No bleeding or anything yet but I’m just expecting the worst now ..

It's really hard not to second guess everything.
A bit of brown discharge is common, and can just be from implantation bleeding.
Unfortunately the back pain, achey lower stomach and sore boob's are all symptoms/effects of both pregnancy and the menstrual cycle.
So it's easy to worry.
Just take it a day at a time.

Nothing is guaranteed of course and it's such a hard thing to accept when all you want is certainty. That said, your pregnancy tests look good and strong and your symptoms are common in early pregnancy. I spotted throughout with both of mine. Best of luck to you x

I’ve had brown discharge and cramping with my ds and all was ok.

So a little update.. I had a small bleed yesterday with no pain so went to the hospital to get bloods done to check HCG level, they called me today and told me I have HCG level of 149. I have to go back Monday to repeat and see if it’s increasing. I’m not sure if that’s a normal level or not for this stage. Based of the first day of my last period I’m 5 weeks today but not sure if I’m that far on. I also did a clearblue digital weeks indicator this morning that is now saying pregnant 2-3 instead of 1-2 but I’m not feeling too optimistic. I guess I’ll no more after my second blood test.

Thank you! I’m keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏻it’s only early but i feel like I’ve had such a rollercoaster of emotions already one minute I’m feeling positive then the next I’m crying and worried .. I’ve been wanting this to happen for so long I hope everything is ok but the bleed yesterday has got me concerned..
