I’ve been trying for a baby since Christmas. I’ve been using clear blue ovulation tests and have successfully found my peak days and had lots of sex. My last peak day was 9 days ago. I’m always worried symptoms are just in my head but I have quite a few pregnancy symptoms. My tummy feels a bit like butterflies, my left breast/nipple feels funny when I touch it, I’m having hot sweats at night, I feel nauseous throughout the day for like 5 mins at a time, my lower back hurts a little too. Did anyone have these symptoms? I did a test yesterday evening and it’s was negative. Maybe I’m testing too soon? But would I have symptoms and a negative test? My period is due 3rd April. I know it’s obvious to wait a few more weeks but this is my first and I’m too excited and impatient!! :)
Thank you in advance x

Lack of a period nothing else

BabyRuthless · 25/03/2025 09:28

I had 0 symptoms both times! Both times I thought the test would be negative. One ended in the birth of my beautiful boy, the other sadly i lost at 11 weeks.

Sorry to hear that! I know every pregnancy is different. Were you trying for your first or did it just happened? because I think I’m trying too hard and it’s becoming obsessive!

I had no symptoms before a late period, at which point my nipples also felt weirdly sensitive. Morning sickness hit at around 7 weeks for me

Fagli · 25/03/2025 09:54

Same here, no symptoms until a few days after my missed period. Whenever I have had symptoms before my period, it’s always been negative!!

Lulu89x · 25/03/2025 10:01

I had cramps from 1-10DPO. Sore nipples. Those were the biggest tell tale signs for me!

Sorry I’m new here can you explain DPO? I feel like I’m driving myself crazy analysing everything that hurts lol x

Every pregnancy I've had (3) ive felt stretching pains in my uterus. The first time I assumed it was period pains and that my period was coming. After that I could tell the difference and knew before my missed period from the stretching pains.

I’ve had pains in my tummy but not as painful as my period pains. I will just have to wait to see if my period comes. Thank you for your reply x

I had a weird tugging sensation on one side of my tummy. I presume it was the implantation, but who knows? 🤷🏻‍♀️

OptimisticRealist2024 · 25/03/2025 11:32

First time - bit of dizziness, missed period, extreme fatigue

Second (current) pregnancy: missed period, extreme fatigue, awful period-type cramps from week 4/5, morning sickness started week 7 and only faded at 25 weeks 🫠

mamajuelz · 25/03/2025 12:49

I had a little popping sensation in my stomach that kept happening and some light spotting on the 6th day post ovulation. Also had a little bit of cramping in my side and back.

MomToBe2025xx · 25/03/2025 12:58

Missed period and I was extremely tired (not sure if that's linked in any way) was 4+2 when found out

MaleficentQueen · 25/03/2025 14:34

I’d forgotten about the exhaustion.
I was also very tired, unusually so for me.
I did have some boob sensitivity too, come to think of it.

Sjh15 · 25/03/2025 14:40

My nipples were going mad. Would not stop tingling.
I knew I was pregnant before I took a test, I waited a few days putting it off because of a miscarriage the pregnancy before but turns out the positive was SO faint and I was having mega tingly nipples from like day 7 after ovulation!!!

ThisZanyPinkSquid · 25/03/2025 14:43

You are definitely testing too early!! That’s over a week away. I got a positive test with my son 2 days before my period and my daughter 5 days late. Test with a first morning urine also.

as for early symptoms I had zero with my son and it was actually a routine hospital appt o found out I was pregnant. My daughter I felt really sick at work one day so tested the next day and got a positive test.

I started getting cramping in my back and lower abdomen like a period with my son about 6ish weeks (2 weeks after missed period) but was all the ligaments stretching. With my daughter I was sick aaaaaaall day long, and when I wasn’t being sick I felt sick.

SunnySideUK77 · 25/03/2025 14:45

I had a twingey/tugging feeling on one side which I assume was implantation with my first. I also felt it with my unplanned second and knew instinctively I was pregnant again x

Nerdynerdynerd · 25/03/2025 14:47

I had absolutely no symptoms either time. I was expecting negative tests and surprised by my BFPs! Then about 2 weeks later the exhaustion and hyperemesis hit.

anon771 · 25/03/2025 14:48

Sore boobs and nose dripping (water like not snotty) any time I bent over. Carried on until 13 weeks.

ThisZanyPinkSquid · 25/03/2025 14:49

Also please don’t get obsessive about it. I found I did and took all the fun out of it 😥 we unfortunately lost our first pregnancy at 8 weeks. But went on to have our beautiful babies.

I listened to my body. I knew when I was ovulating as I would get a sore side, changed side each month. I have Endometriosis so periods vary from month to month but I threw all the ovulations tests and pregnancy tests out and just went with my body when trying for our 2nd. Xx

SmurfKingdom · 25/03/2025 14:50

My very first symptom, before testing positive, that actually made me ask google whether it was a pregnancy thing was having the most vivid dreams I’ve ever had.

DPO is days past ovulation.

With my first pregnancy I had a very odd-feeling quick, fluttering heartbeat before I missed a period. No other symptoms. With the 2nd I didn't have that but I had sore boobs and needing to go for a lot of wees very early on.

TheBerry · 25/03/2025 15:18

Test again over the next few days. Sometimes you can get a positive test at 9 DPO, sometimes you can’t.

I have the sharpest eyes for pregnancy test lines, and I had an absolute negative with a sensitive home test 9 DPO. Next day, I had a very extremely faint positive. Now I’m 16 weeks pregnant.

Just test again soon, good luck!!!

NameChange30845654 · 25/03/2025 15:20

I had lower back pain less than 24 hours after conception (don't normally have any back pain at all) and then just felt generally a bit odd. I got a positive just under two weeks after conception - first morning wee is the best time to do it. I used a clear blue digital just so there was no second guessing evap lines, etc.

I had a dripping nose on Saturday but that has stopped
