Help - I’m so scared

Hi, I found out on Friday I was pregnant with a boots test, First day of last period is 19.01.2025 but I have PCOS.
Done a clear blue test today at 1pm, we went for a reassurance scan yesterday showed nothing in my uterus. I had drank 1 litre of water, they did a test yesterday it was negative & discussed chemical pregnancy. I have PCOS, another scan next week. I’m so scared. 😞 I’ve had two miscarriages before but I’m just so worried as to why nothing was in my uterus.

Have you tested again? It might just be very early days.

If you have irregular cycles then it is possibly just far too early to see anything on a scan.
Was it a private scan? They really shouldn't be doing them so early without a genuine medical reason as they cause so much anxiety and definitely do not often reassure!

Yes I tested today at 1pm.

Yes it was a private scan. We were so disheartened.

I have very irregular cycles. My first scan I would have been 8+2 going from LMP but I only measured 6+1 - I'm now 37 weeks pregnant!

Before 6 weeks there is no guarantee of seeing anything

Yes both x

At my 7 week private scan they couldn't see anything, but by 8/9 weeks they could.

That’s reassuring. My uterus is high up and my bladder was full just so worried x

I'm 13+3 now, i've had 3 MC and an ectopic, had a scan at 4 weeks (thought I was further on due to PCOS) and they could only see a tiny spec of sac.
If you can afford private scans it could be worth looking for private HG blood tests to see if your levels are rising correctly

One sided pain in my stomach/lower abdomen and really weird shoulder pain. If you have any concerns please contact your EPAU as it needs to be checked ASAP! They couldn't locate anything to start with so they monitored my HG via bloods for a week or so and it wasn't rising correctly so when they located via scan I could have methotrexate rather than surgery. But please check the Ectopic charity site for symptoms and contact someone if you think it could be x

All very strong tests. I think you are just too early for a scan or ovulated late if you have irregular periods. Did they recommend waiting another two weeks? Good luck.

Yes my doctor has. Thank you, so scared and diagnosed with GAD isn’t helping me.

I’ve been to the toilet about 6 times today already 😂😂

You can stop testing now, it won't help and will make you more anxious and paranoid.

That's a great BFP, you have another follow up scan booked and hopefully that one will be much better.

I’m over the moon, had a scan today and everything looking all good. We did the deed 19th February, I am 5 weeks 5 days pregnant today which is all adding up. Just massive relief as I have PCOS. Went for a scan last week and there was nothing there, so time has really helped.
Sorry, just thought I’d share as I’m so excited I could burst it’s all progressing nicely. xx
