Have you fallen pregnant immediately after miscarriage?

Hello all, I had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago. I was 11 weeks. The bleeding afterwards went on until 14 days past miscarriage, albeit very very light the last few days, only just visibly pink when wiping.

2 days after I stopped bleeding I had ewcm, more than I'd ever noticed during ovulation before and I had cramping for a few days. Again I don't normal feel ovulation at all. I'm not sure if that's what it was.

I still had very faint squinting lines on a pregnancy test until today, so 3 days post ewcm, when I've had my first negative test. It is now 3 weeks 5 days past miscarriage.

We DTD anyway a few times over that couple of days. I'm now waiting for a week and half to test for new pregnancy and honestly I'm struggling to think of much else.
I'm desperate to be pregnant again, the baby was so wanted. Doctors have said I've no reason to wait other than the usual issue of dating the pregnancy if I haven't left it a cycle beforehand.

Sorry the the ramble, I'm just looking for others experiences with this. Have you been successful first time? Have you had a long wait to conceive again? Any stories welcome.

Thank you!

I did - 1st pregnancy an early miscarriage at 7 weeks, and then conceived the month after. I was tracking ovulation etc throughout and I think it was a little bit later than usual (longer first phase), but only a few days. He’s nearly four and sitting on my lap ❤️

I did too. First pregnancy ended at almost 13 weeks and I was pregnant 6 weeks later with my eldest, now adult daughter.

Oh wow, so soon after too. This is what I'm so hoping for. I take it you didn't have a period before your daughter surprised you?

edit I worked it out wrong, it's 2 weeks 5 days past miscarriage today. Feels like forever and yesterday at the same time

Sorry for your loss OP, it's so hard waiting. I've had two miscarriages, first was at around 10 weeks and bled for 2 weeks and spotting for a further week, waited for a period (around 5 weeks after start of miscarriage) and then got pregnant on that first cycle, my now 3 year old. Second miscarriage at 5 weeks, bled for a week, got pregnant without waiting for a period a few weeks after bleeding ended, my now 11 month old. Good luck xx

I'm so sorry you've had to go through that twice. It was so hard to deal with once. Thank you for sharing, it's lovely to hear these positive stories. I hope I'm as lucky as you have all been and get caught right away. I know it's not for everyone, but it definitely feels right for us.

Just to lend perspective it took us 5 months after MC to conceive again, whereas first time it took 1-2: months. That’s seems the more common scenario amongst my friends.

Icanttakethisanymore · 03/10/2024 16:53

Not the first cycle but I had two miscarriages in quick succession between DC1 and DC2. On both occasions I got pregnant on cycle 2 (ie one period then pregnant on the next ovulation). I am sorry for your loss.

Butterfly8719 · 03/10/2024 16:55

Heya! I’m in the same boat, had a MMC at 7.5 weeks, had D&C, it’s been about 6 weeks and last week noticed LOADS of ewcm, more than normal, so DTD twice, had cramps last few days just did a test (prob 6dpo - guessing based on ewcm) and I swear I see THE faintest shadow 🤣 but also prob imagining it. Sorry for your loss and wishing you luck xxxx

That must have been such a difficult wait. Thank you for telling me. I suppose it will be whatever it is, I'll just be lucky to fall pregnant again.

Oh I'm sorry for your loss too, horrible isn't it.
I really hope you've got that line! Post a pic, I love a good squint line, hopefully you'll know for sure by Monday!

Oh it’s been truly heartbreaking, especially as we’ve had failed ivf too. This was a natural surprise. Oh gosh I’m talking squint squint, window light questionable line 🥴🤣 not sure a photo would show. I’ll try! Lol.

Hey, I can see a tinge where I know the lines supposed to be, haha. I'm so hoping that just gets darker and darker each day for you! Keep me updated!

Immediately without a period between miscarriage and pregnancy. He’s 17 now.

Butterfly8719 · 03/10/2024 17:42

So definitely think I just ‘see lines’ because I was so used to staring at them before. Hoping you all the success and hope you’re feeling ok xxx

jellyfish2 · 03/10/2024 17:47

Sorry to hear of your miscarriage. I had a MMC where I was 12 wks but baby measured 8. I had surgical management and it took me 3 cycles of trying after that to conceive (currently 17wks). My friend had a natural miscarriage at 8 weeks and conceived a month later. Hope it happens quickly for you x

I'm terrible for it. That tinge you've got would have me testing again twice a day! I can see a tinge though and that's just a photo, at 10/11 DPO you'll know more, I've got everything crossed for you

I didn't after my first two miscarriages but after the third I got pregnant on the following cycle and had my daughter :)

Sorry for your loss! I hope you get your rainbow soon :)

PineappleEye · 03/10/2024 18:01

I did, two miscarriages one after the other, at 6 and 5 weeks pregnant. Fell pregnant again straight away and now have a 12 week old baby x
