Stupid questions thread . Hopefully to be seen by Lulumama, Marspornlady, Klaw etc. Also hopefully more stupid questions to be added to dilute my stupidity!

  1. Is it OK to eat half a fresh pineapple or a whole tin of pineapple EVERY DAY?

heartburn remedy
Sounds bonkers but beleive me it works, I had terrible heartburn with every pregnancy sometimes the gaviscon/rennies would work for about 3 minutes and it would come back.

Hot chocolate with marshmallows. I assume it s something to do with the melted mallows, but it works.
Try it.

doggiesayswoof · 22/04/2008 16:27

I don't have bad heartburn this time round, but I think I will try the hot choc /marshmallows anyway as a preventative measure.

Thanks for the tips ladies! The folded towels under the mattress sound good - now why didn't I think of that...

MamaG · 22/04/2008 16:31

Lulu I wouldn't advise it...!

Stupid question here we go:

  1. I work a few hours each day from home, which means on my bed, with laptop on my lap/small bump. DH is concerned re. a) heat of laptop b) radiation or whatever comes out of these things. And he is a physicist, not usually inclined to paranoia.

Table not an option though have tried working with laptop on duvet on bump.

is this v v paranoid or only v paranoid? Am 8 weeks pg.

VictorianSqualor · 22/04/2008 17:28

sureitsno3 · 22/04/2008 17:29

VictorianSqualor · 22/04/2008 17:37

a bloody good one too.

I read on here that if you lift your right arm above your head it relieves heartburn. And it actually works, sort of, well as much as anything works when it's really bad. You can do it while lying slightly propped up. Also eat almonds. Or drink a teaspoon of vinegar. bleugh. Different things work for different people at different times I find. Yoghurt, milk, eating an orange, I tried them all.
