Water breaking 15 weeks

Hi! I am currently 15 weeks pregnant. I was wondering if anyone has ever had their waters break this early and, if so, what did it feel like?

I had a strange popping sensation earlier today when walking followed by a something coming down, down below feeling. I then had a few episodes where I felt like I was dribbling pee but not much at all. Stomach also felt hard.

Did it feel anything like this? A little worried.

You need to contact somebody and get checked out x

hellolittleduck · 26/09/2024 20:29

Go to the hospital.

Get straight to the hospital

Kittybluecat · 26/09/2024 20:31

You need to call your midwife. There's a risk the umbilical cord will strangle the baby as the fluid allows baby to move freely

friendshipover24 · 26/09/2024 20:33

My waters broke at 16 weeks and the fluid came gushing out. It was the end of the pregnancy. You need to go get yourself checked out. Immediately.

Tulipvase · 26/09/2024 20:41

I was much further on than you (28 weeks) but they did come in dribbles after an initial leak. Please call maternity at your hospital.

Don't post on Mumsnet. Get yourself to your Maternity Assessment Centre, or A+E. It sounds like amniotic fluid is leaking out. If too much fluid leaks out your baby won't be able to survive and he or she is too young to survive being born. I hope all is ok.

teatoast8 · 26/09/2024 20:59

Definitely go and get checked out. X

@docmamma any news, I hope you’re ok? X

docmamma · 27/09/2024 10:48

Spoke to the early pregnancy unit and I have to go in today at 3pm for a scan.
Very worried as this is such a precious pregnancy after a loss last year. Already on progesterone pessaries due to bleeding early on :(
