@MummyMammoth Nice to see someone else in Coventry! Fingers crossed for you x

Hi all, just read through this whole thing! Congratulations on all the pregnancies.
Can I join... found out I'm pregnant with number 3 last week, youngest is only 10 months Shock and I only had one period since so dates could well be a bit off. But think I'm 5 weeks ish. Have booked early scan for beginning of Nov to check things. Minimal symptoms so far except bloating every evening and a bit of nausea.
What supplements is anyone taking? Took the Wild Nutrition ones last pregnancy which were great but so expensive!

Welcome, congrats!

Gosh, very close together!!

Taking Pregnacare max did with my daughter too. I do a subscription on Amazon so it works out cheaper than the shops.

dmb91 · 18/10/2024 23:03

@EmW102 I'm only taking folic acid and vitamin D, I'll stop the folic acid at 12 weeks

I'm in a similar position to you, baby #3 and I'll have a 15.5 month ago cap between the youngest two and 3 years between oldest and youngest!
It's going to be a rough but hopefully rewarding couple of years.
Congratulations on your pregnancy 😊

EmW102 · 19/10/2024 05:03

Ah thanks for the replies. @Kiwiburgh, sounds very similar!!! Not sure it's sunk in yet, the idea of 3 so close 😬
Thanks @MummyMammoth, hadn't thought of Amazon subscription, off to have a look...

PlanABC · 19/10/2024 06:57

I have folic acid, vitamin D, and progesterone supplements (the latter is a blanket rule for all people doing IVF in my clinic)

YorkshirePeridot · 19/10/2024 08:36

Anyone have any experiences with a retroverted uterus and scans? I found out my uterus is tilted about 10 years ago and it hasn't been relevant since, but now I'm worried my 7 week scan won't pick anything up and it might cause more worry than reassurance?

SaturnSpark · 19/10/2024 08:37

Angelselevenx · 17/10/2024 16:18

That's great news @SaturnSpark how many weeks are you now?

Thank you :)
Flo has me at around 7w5, however from the scan is looks like I was around 6w3.

I have longer cycles which is the norm for me, so likely ovulated later than I thought!

Bewildened · 19/10/2024 08:48

@YorkshirePeridot at this gestation you will need an internal scan anyway, so shouldn’t be any issues seeing the baby!

I've never had an internal scan with all my pregnancies. I wonder if it's dependant on area? Seen it crop up alot.

You'll defo need an internal scan,I also have one and remember in a previous pregnancy she told me to mention it when I go in for a scan (an early one anyway usually under 8-10 weeks) as it would have to be internal. Plus at this early stages you would be highly unlikely to see anything with a tummy one

@mrobyn it depends on the gestation - it’s very difficult to see anything with an abdominal scan before 8 weeks.

In my experience the commercial scanning places will usually try abdominal first, but the pics won’t be clear (if they can see anything). NHS would always do transvaginal pre 8 weeks.

YorkshirePeridot · 19/10/2024 11:25

Thanks for the information! It's a commercial place but as they offer scans from 6 weeks then hopefully they have the ability to offer internal scans. If they only do abdominal I won't hold my breath to see much. A heartbeat would be nice though for some reassurance 🤞

@LacedBouquet sucky sweets are currently saving me!

This has been a life saver! Currently sucking on some fruit pastels and it’s working. Thank you!

I've always had abdominal at 7 week scans, but those were private, so that makes sense with difference to NHS, etc
Probably clearer internally.

Hi ladies!
Congratulations on your pregnancies, is it okay for me to join the bandwagon?

I’ve recently found out I’m pregnant this week, due 20th June. I’m very nervous as although I have a beautiful 5yo, I suffered an ectopic pregnancy in May this year. My partner is very supportive, but like me is terrified of another ectopic and so he doesn’t seem to want to talk about the pregnancy.

I also have this and with any early scans have had to have internal ones for a clear image. Last time I had scans at around 7 weeks and then when I had my mmc at 9 weeks I also had to have internal scans. From 12 weeks an abdominal scan was fine.

Angelselevenx · 19/10/2024 13:59

Just had a scan today privately and they tried abdominal first and then went internal @YorkshirePeridot I was 6w on the dot as I thought x

MittensForKittens123 · 19/10/2024 14:48

@Angelselevenx did you see a heartbeat at 6 on the dot out of interest?

I didn’t on my scan at 6+0 earlier this week, but I do have long cycles so I might technically be closer to 5 than 6.

How did you get on?!

Stef92 · 19/10/2024 15:11

Cramping has returned and I'm terrified every time I go to the loo that there'll be blood. Flo has me at 6+1 today and nhs 6 on the dot. Still very nervous after the miscarriage last year

Angelselevenx · 19/10/2024 15:43

@MittensForKittens123 we seen a flicker of a heartbeat yes but it's so variable! I've been doing so much reading since I get home and it really is 50/50. Did you see your yolk sac etc?

Angelselevenx · 19/10/2024 15:44

@Daniki it went well, I'm such a worrier though now I'm reading up on all the measurements and overthinking everything. If it's not one thing I'm worrying about it's another! X

Daniki · 19/10/2024 15:48

@Angelselevenx I know, its like brief reassurance and then back to worrying 🙈 but look you've seen the heartbeat so that's a great sign ❤️
