My bloated tummy at 10 weeks, I’ve been on progesterone since the day I found out, am I right in thinking this could be why I have been sooo bloated because of the help with progesterone? I didn’t think of that x

@Lemonbalm8

Strangely enough the thing that’s been helping with morning sickness is eating!
it’s surprised me as I read this online but when I feel sick the last thing I feel like doing is eating, but I’ve found if I eat something before or just as a round of sickness is starting it really helps it go away!

Also peppermint tea and chamomile tea! Water has been making me nauseous lol, but those particular teas I’ve found drinkable and helpful 😊

@Mommabear96 that must be so grim having to eat when you feel like that😩 Do you tend to feel more sick when you're hungry do you think?

I've not had much morning sickness, but I eat really early, always have. I think chucking something down me early on curbs it a bit.

I have this thing at the minute where I will not want food, the smells of it will repulse me, but then I'll get so hungry all of a sudden and that's when I feel a bit queasy.

Lemonbalm8 · 26/07/2024 21:08

@Mommabear96 interesting about tea. I've not had anything without ice for about 3 weeks. I'm going to give tea a try. Thankfully evenings are not so hot, honestly I'm so sweaty these days!

Lemonbalm8 · 26/07/2024 21:09

@Rockyslife I'm sure it's a mixture of pregnancy, diet and progesterone. I just feel so uncomfortable, like I'm going to burst, especially in the evenings. Mornings I'm absolutely fine, but 3-5 and 8 onwards I'm very grumpy and uncomfortable

Lemonbalm8 · 26/07/2024 21:14

Is anyone not finding out the gender? I'm so tempted to leave it as unknown, I did that with my son, but also so tempted to find out. If all goes well with the scan next week, I'm going to do nipt and have an option to find out gender.... I think my husband finds it nice to know earlier to bond, but he was fine with not knowing as well ..

MrsB2019x · 26/07/2024 21:15

Just googled the side effects of Cyclogest and it came back with this. Rectal tumour…?!?!

@Mommabear96 You are superwoman, I’m a wreck if I just get nauseous let alone vomming at work all day!!
With DD I found eating first thing in the morning helped like you said, I used to keep a pack of rich tea biscuits in my bedside table to eat before I even sat up. I really hope you feel better soon x

I'm pretty sure we're finding out. We always said we'd leave it as a surprise but we couldn't wait with my daughter and in the end I was so glad we found out we were having a girl. It just makes it feel all the more real and not quite so abstract. I don't think we'll be able to wait again this time (all being well of course🤞) xx

Mommabear96 · 26/07/2024 22:08

@Beks96 @MrsB2019x yeah I definitely think the sickness is worse if I let myself get an empty stomach!
I find it hard though cos since leaving uni and living my adult life I’ve never been a breakfast eater and rarely had lunch too. Only really eaten dinner and a snack during the day if I’ve found time at work. So when I’m pregnant I really have to force myself to eat 3 meals cos I feel like I need to for the baby so it’s so hard😩
definitely couldn’t eat before getting out of bed even though it’s advised! Nowadays tend to try eat something by 10am…

@Lemonbalm8 I’d love to be the kind of person that doesn’t find out the gender, I think it would be amazingggg to find out at the birth but I couldn’t do it😩 I’m such an impatient person and I hate not knowing already lol, but will make myself wait til the 20 week scan!

I got a private gender scan at 16 weeks last time because I was too impatient so I’ll definitely be finding out again! If nothing else if it’s a boy it’ll give me a chance to put all DD’s stuff on Vinted 😂

Hi ladies I was wondering if I could join you.

I found out a few days ago I'm pregnant. I had a MMC in March and I'm feeling very anxious.

I'm actually due on today so just hoping I can get through the next couple days and it's not a chemical pregnancy.

I'm not feeling any symptoms at all which is making it so much worse because with my MC I didn't get any symptoms at all. My boobs still literally feel like water balloons, not sore at all. I've also been having on and off cramps, but I do have digestive problems as well so never quite sure what's what with that.

Just looking for some reassurance I guess!

CosmicLove · 27/07/2024 08:58

Hello @UrsulaSings123 and welcome to the group ❤️ I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a MMC in April so I know how awful it is. Congratulations on your BFP and I'm sorry you're feeling anxious. It's completely understandable but you're in good company! I know it's so hard not to overthink the symptoms but it's honestly not a good indicator. Every pregnancy is different and you're still so early if af is due today, that it's more than likely that you wouldn't have any symptoms yet anyway. I've had 3 pregnancies so far (my daughter, MMC, then this one) and each time I've had no symptoms at all till 6 weeks. Try to focus on your wonderful news but we're always here for reassurance xx

jellyfish2 · 27/07/2024 10:15

@UrsulaSings123 welcome! I remember you from the miscarriage thread, so nice to see you here 🥰 congratulations!

How is everyone?

I'm now 6+4 but still not got a lot of symptoms just feeling quite yucky most days and exhausted. I'm also in the process of applying for a job in another department in my work and I don't know if they'll take too kindly to finding out I'm pregnant after I apply so not sure if I should say beforehand.

I won't be finding out what I'm having, we didn't last time and I loved finding out at the birth 🥰

UrsulaSings123 · 27/07/2024 10:21

Thank you @jellyfish2 I remember you too, congratulations!

Thank you @CosmicLove when I had my son I'm sure I remember my boobs being sore, but that was nearly 5 years ago now so could possibly have not remembered right/exaggerated it in my head.

I told myself I wouldn't do another preg test. Even put them in the bin! Got them out the bloody bin and just done one and it's quite a bit darker than a couple days ago so I'm feeling a bit reassured (for about 10 minutes probably! 😂)

It really helps having others in the same boat.

jellyfish2 · 27/07/2024 10:29

@UrsulaSings123 I kept testing for maybe another week or so after my period was due then when I got 3+ on a digital I stopped. It's hard after a MMC. I just keep not thinking about being pregnant, almost trying to convince myself I'm not which is so sad but it feels a bit like self preservation. I'm just scared to get told baby has no heartbeat again.

UrsulaSings123 · 27/07/2024 10:36

@jellyfish2 yes I thought about getting another digital. I did one at 11dpo and it said 1- 2 weeks. But I'm scared if I do another one too soon it won't go to 2 - 3 and then I'll really worry. Might do one in 10 days or something. Are you having an early scan? Last time I had a scan at just over 6 weeks and I was in limbo for so long not knowing what was happening, it was agony. This time I'm going to wait until at least 7+3 or something (if I get that far).

jellyfish2 · 27/07/2024 10:56

@UrsulaSings123 I'm trying not to. If I do, it'll be after 8 weeks. I might hold off as my NHS scan is booked already but they've based it on my last period even though I know when I ovulated so technically I'll be getting an earlier scan as I'll be 10 wks exactly on the NHS scan date.

UrsulaSings123 · 27/07/2024 11:03

@jellyfish2 with my son I had a scan after 8 weeks and then my booking appointment later the same day. I'm not arranging my booking appointment until after I've had a scan, even if that means I'm late booking! It was horrendous last time having to cancel it. I had to go to GP yesterday as I have a water infection and said I'd had a positive test so I'd get safe antibiotics for pregnancy, and they told me to make my booking appointment with the midwife on the way out and in my head I was like haha no thanks!

V1kster88 · 27/07/2024 11:30

Jumping in on this thread as I was following your last one and it made me feel better knowing I wasn’t alone.

I had a private scan on Wednesday at 7+5. I was super nervous about it as I found out at my 7+1 scan the last time that baby had stopped growing. Happy to report baby was measuring 5 days ahead this time, with a heartbeat of 169. So relieved, for now. Next scan at the end of August.

Morning sickness is well and truly kicking my butt. Morning, noon and night. I only feel better if I’m grazing or laying down. Can’t stomach a lot of things I usually love, even tea and coffee. Stomach is so bloated (and probably a little backed up 🙊) right now from all the comfort carbs that make me feel better. Constantly exhausted all the time too, which isn’t ideal with an 18 month old! Trying to embrace it all the same.

Hope you are all keeping well. xxx

@UrsulaSings123 that must've been hard to do that. I have my booking appointment at 7 weeks next week so I'm going to go and express my worries and see what the midwife says. I doubt they'll give me an extra scan though. It's hard to imagine having a healthy pregnancy after a MC isn't it 😢

CosmicLove · 27/07/2024 13:58

Welcome @V1kster88 and congratulations on your wonderful scan news! That must be such a huge relief for you, although I know how easy it is for the anxiety to come creeping back in again after loss. I'm so sorry you went through that ❤️

I can totally relate to the constant exhaustion - my daughter is 19 months so running around after her all day is very tiring! Do you have a little girl or boy? Xx

CosmicLove · 27/07/2024 14:00

@UrsulaSings123 how old is your little boy? Xx

Congratulations!! That's lovely news and what a relief to see baby with a lovely heartbeat. 🥰
