Am I having a miscarriage

I found out I was pregnant 3 weeks ago. I’m currently 6 weeks pregnant and have an early scan tomorrow due to bleeding.

I had bleeding 2 weeks ago which resulted in an early scan which was too early to see anything other than thickening of my womb. My bloods HGC levels were increasing over double which was positive.

I am currently on off bleeding, raging from light brown watery blood to stringy brown, to thick dark brown clotty blood with some red fresh blood.. mostly when wiping.

I am thinking the worst but looking for any advice or guidance here!

Its so hard to know, sometimes people bleed, implantation bleeding etc, but other times it unfortunately is a miscarriage.

I was told the last bleeding was probably implantation so now fearing the worst. I’ve had on off cramps since finding out I’ve been pregnant. Unsure what to be thinking now!

I hope it goes well tomorrow. When I MC'd I remember the blood coming out was thick and gloopy as opposed to watery if that makes sense. The good news is I conceived the next month and that one stuck. Good luck.

I started off today was brown when I wiped, then brown bits in my urine to now more dark red with some clots when I wipe. More of it than I’d like to see. No cramps or anything like that though and not bleeding through to my underwear, only when I wipe.

I’ve seen my GP today and she wanted me to go to early pregnancy but they won’t see me until I’m 6 weeks which is the end of the week. So I’ve been sent home and told to go to A&E if I start cramping. Hoping to get an early scan later this week. But I’m not holding my breath 😔

@DoraBella88 I know they can be pricey, bur rather than waiting til the end of the week you can always book a private scan to check things out x

@WickWood yes the town next to me do them but I’m only 5+2 at the moment so know I could have a scan and not see anything, which would distress me even more.

I don’t know what to do 😔

Cramping also however the cramping has been on off since finding out. It’s the unknowing , I tried getting an earlier scan today but everything was fully booked near my area so tomorrow will need to do!

hello, not much further forward to be honest. I have been told to come back next week. They could see a sack with nothing inside yet but said that’s normal for the stage I am at, beside the sack was a grey area which was said to be an area where there was blood

Ive to go back next week but I really don’t know what’s happening they were very much on edge to tell me much. Couldn’t say if it was ok or not.

Yes still bleeding , currently red and a little clotty. I was told to contact back if still bleeding, I was bleeding and cramping as she said that so when is the time to phone back if I’m leaving there like that!

such a horrible waiting game!

Aw I’m so sorry, has this been confirmed? My bleeding has been getting worse but didn’t confirm a miscarriage on the scan. I’m back next Tuesday again!

I’m surprised they passed you off when you were bleeding whilst there? It’s all a bit odd to me. I’m crossing my fingers tightly that all will be ok at your next scan.

I told them what I was bleeding , the description of clotting and string and colours etc. the scan showed a pocket of blood next to the sack which they were unsure of. It might be similar , I’m obviously still unsure but it’s not a loss at this stage. Go for an early scan!

Just saw your post and wondered how you got on? I’ve been experiencing much the same as what you have said, I’m too early for a scan yet though at almost 5 weeks.

I had what I thought was my period on the 11th March (light but that is usual for me). I decided to start tracking ovulation on CD9 and the test line was stronger than the control so I did a pregnancy test and it said 2-3 weeks. The same night I got a positive (this Thursday), I started bleeding but it was only when I wiped but was bright red and no clots. It is still happening but decreasing and only when I wipe.

I went to the EPU and they couldn’t see anything on a scan so have had blood work done.

Anyone else had anything similar ??

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing this, unfortunately I had the same when I went to EPU and it sadly ended in a miscarriage. Hopefully you get some good news though. I’m now 8 months pregnant with my rainbow baby so there is light at the end of the tunnel xx
