Nothing showing on scan

Hello, I had a scan today after having a positive pregnancy test to rule out ectopic pregnancy as I've been bleeding . The bleeding has now stopped after 2 days and turnt into brown discharge.Me and the hospital staff I very confused with how far along I could be as I had a normal period on 16th may and another normal period on the 13th June. My pregnancy test are coming back with a really strong line but clear blue is only saying 1 to 2 weeks. At my scan today they couldn't see a pregnancy in my womb. But the lady said this could be normal because it's to early to see anything or Ive already passed the baby?!, Ive had a blood test to check for my HGC level and I'm awaiting the result any advice? What number should I be expecting to come back to have a healthy pregnancy or prepare myself for the worst

If you had a period on 13th June then you’d only be 3 weeksish pregnant so way to early to see anything! I’m surprised they scanned you as most won’t until 6 weeks because a scan can’t really pick anything up before this and it causes worry.
Alao a hcg in isolation won’t say much, you’d need another one in 48 hours to make sure it’s doubled as everyone’s levels are different.
I’m sure it’s just too early and spotting is very common with hormonal changes and implantation.

They scanned me because I had a previous ectopic anf with it still being ten days to my next period they believe the pregnancy happened in may my HCG have come back at 245 and I have been asked to go back in Wednesday for a repeat

@Dlwor just to reassure you that with your period only being a few weeks ago, you’d probably be around 3 1/2 so 2-3 weeks before a scan would show anything. I’m sure everything is fine and that level for HcG is normal for around that time.
Also you don’t usually see anything on a scan until HcG levels are around 1500 so it’s also quite surprising that they scanned.

When did you get a positive pregnancy test?
My ectopic symptoms were back pain and very light spotting. First scan couldn't see anything when I should have been around 5 weeks, blood tests showed HCG rising as normal, but then unfortunately they discovered the ectopic when they scanned me again.

I got a positive test on Friday the 28th June, Im sorry you went though that I know it so difficult being told you pregnancy is an ectopic, I really hoping this will be my rainbow baby but I have so much doubt with the dates because if I look back at the dates I had sex I could either be 5 week 3 days 4 weeks 2 days or 1 week 3 days which seem impossible to be that early or that far along when I had a normal period in June

@Dlwor my partner and I had sex on 1st June (he went away with work for 3 weeks after this so I know it was definitely then) but I didn’t get a positive OPK and EWCM until 4th June and ovulated 5th. Somehow that sperm survived 4 days 😂 and I got a positive test on 16th so you may be nearly 4 weeks and ovulated 3/4 days after you had sex with the one 4 weeks 2 days orrr you had a very early pregnancy test positive. I know some people have had one at 7dpo.

It just all very confusing right now my test are so clear as well I'm just hoping my number double on Wednesday thank you for your message

Cross my fingers for you. It could definitely go either way.
When I had the ectopic, my test lines stayed about the same but never got super dark. I think my HCG got to about 2700 when they found it, which I think is higher than a lot get to. When I had an early miscarriage, they also couldn't see anything on the scan, but my lines got lighter until I started bleeding.

I had to have my tube removed with the ectopic but I was pregnant again with a healthy pregnancy within a few months, just in case this doesn't work out then it can still end up OK.

I had an ectopic in April/ May and I had similar but I knew my dates so I could rule out the 'too early'
I had bleeding on and off but not enough to be a miscarriage.
My tests were never super dark on the cheap strip tests and stayed 1-2 weeks on CB.
My HCG started on 300 and crept up to 2,000 over 3/4 weeks. I had bloods & scans basically every 48 hours for weeks! They couldn't find anything on a scan, so I had surgery where they found an ectopic hidden near the uterus. I had a tube removed.

Hopefully your bloods at least double over 48 hours 🤞🏼

After my ectopic I had a scan at a similar time to you and they saw nothing. I was convinced it was another ectopic but that child is now a 3 year old with attitude! Best of luck OP

I got 2-3 week on my clear blue this morning so I'm feeling positive about my blood draw this morning praying my number double today

Thank you all for the lovely comments, I had my blood done at 9 this morning now the wait luckily I'm working today so should keep my mind busy until I get the phone call with the results my fingers are crossed feeling positive.

So wasn't good new they only went up to 300 got to have another blood test in 2 days time then a scan not looking good

@Dlwor sorry to hear that lovely. What was it two days ago?
Mine went from 1200 Saturday to 1000 Monday and started miscarrying yesterday. It’s not easy 🙁

@T0r11210 mine where 225 I think somewhere around there they've said the pregnancy could be growing in the wrong place, I'm absolutely heartbroken after my epotic last year I really thought this was my chance.

@justpeachy1234 in having more bloods Saturday morning then a scan Monday depending on results to locate the pregnancy
I'm feeling gutted shocked I really thought the outcome would be different

I've just started bleeding heavy and have really bad cramps in my left side hoping it eases or I'm off to a&e

With HCG levels under 1,000 I wouldn't expect any rupture if it was ectopic because it would still be very small. They can't normally see anything on a scan under 1,000.

Hopefully your next bloods double and it was a blip 🤞🏼

If not, hopefully they drop drastically (at least half) which would indicate your body has passed it naturally. If you have a miscarriage your HCG drops within 24 hours

@justpeachy1234 my last ectopic passed on its own so hoping this will be the same sorry if it TMI but with the amount of blood in losing I don't think it's good news
