In my first pregnancy I bought virtually nothing and felt horrible before and after, so I want to get more bits this time round. I don't mind buying second hand but would really appreciate some recommendations of what brand are nice and wash well

I would recommend having a look at Vinted. I got a few bits on there as most of the things on there are fairly new as people only wear them for a set amount of time.

Also I would recommend Primark. They do some good pyjamas, jeans and T-shirts.

I like the things in La Redoute, they don’t have loads but lovely styles. Quite a bit on Vinted to

Seraphine has the best maternity clothing I think. I got all of mine from Vinted.

Agree on vinted, many are so overpriced and it's not worth it for the less than a year of wear. There's always plenty of items uploaded a day in great quality. This time of year I would recommend plenty of midi dresses, floaty or tight, and then you can get some cardigans, denim jacket or kimonos which can be worn after pregnancy. I would also highly recommend recommend some over bump cycling shorts to go under dresses, extra support/smoothing/doesn't make knickers roll down/and good for thighs in the heat 😂
ASOS ones are really good quality, nice and thick and not seen through.
Also leggings, lovall/love leggings with some long black vest tops and an open shirt or nice cardigan is a good look and very comfy, and also pretty good for immediately post birth too
