Can anyone help!

Hi ,
so here goes not sure if anyone can relate or have any advice.
i had unprotected sex 20 days ago. My period isn’t due for 6 days .
i did a pregnancy test at work (nhs one) as they are supposed to be quite sensitive.
after 5 mins this came up with a positive result.
I then took 2 further tests accu news they were both negative.
im not really sure what to think.
has anyone experienced this before and maybe its just evap line?

The first one you took definitely looks positive. The other two are clearly negative, but could be because they aren't as sensitive. Can you do a first response or another NHS one?

Yes I can do another when I’m back in work, I wasn’t sure that it was to early as it’s only 19-20 days. Ans although the first one looks positive could that be what they call evap lines?
the hpt I did says it’s 25ml of hcg to test not sure if it would be that high at 20 days.

I would get a clear blue tells u if your pregnant hun but yeah it's definitely a positive test , i did them tests you got and come back positive so got clear blue I am now 15 weeks gone ,good luck hun and let us know what test says x

I used these tests my top test would be 16/17dpo and even then it was very faint. I think they aren’t as sensitive? Maybe try an early test especially as your period isn’t due yet as mine was 2/3 days late when I got the faint positive still. First one looks positive 🤞

I just wasn’t sure if that was what they call evap lines but apparently they are clear or grey? Or I though I wonder if I have left it to long but if that’s the case I’m sure if wouldn’t go positive.
maybe I to early for the other test if only 20 days after sex. My period isn’t due till next week.

@Peachy2012 it's definitely not an evap line, the colour is too pink ☺️
Both of my last two pregnancies I found out days before my period was due so it's not too early.

Go and get a clear blue hun that way you have it in writing for a month to go doctors too and gives u peace of mind and tells u how many weeks you are 😁

So ladies did a clear blue came back nit pregnant. The lady in the chemist says it could be to early as I’m not due my period for 6 days .
is it best to do it after a missed period? Or maybe it’s just negative and the first one was a false positive?

I would try again in couple days hun and see what it says then x

I don’t mean for this to sound patronising so I’m sorry in advance but the first test has a pretty clear line so it is very confusing why the other tests are not showing even the faintest of lines (if they were less sensitive) so could it be that the first test you took wasn’t a pregnancy test? Maybe an ovulation test or something similar?

If it was, did you use the same urine for the second tests or did you use another? If you used another it could be that it was too diluted to pick up any hcg.

The first test I did was a pregnancy test so yes this sounds patronising! If you look at the photo the test actually says hcg on it?!
Also I’m not silly? No it was different urine.

That first one is a dye stealer! Glaring positive!

Sorry I get what you mean now 🙈😂 it is ha I’m just not sure why the others would be negative 🤔 unless like previously said my urine was diluted.

Mine were clearest with first morning wee, so if you are going to test do it first thing as any urine later in the day may not show especially so early. This was mine which was 6 days before my period was due. Retest first thing, these were cheapy boots ones xx

It means you got colour in it so positive test x I would just wait hun buy another clear blue in couple of days in meantime you could try some cheap ones and see if line gets darker x

Make sure you get first wee in morning in a cup or something, could mean that you just drank to much today for not to pick up x

@Peachy2012 also forgot to mention as some others have said dye stealers and your others look like those, I had a few of those after and was freaked out as the left line disappeared as it took all the dye to the positive line which is a good sign so hopefully it will be that too! Hi lovely!

What time did you take those tests? My doctor recommends (and also from my experience) it is best to take the test with first morning urine where it’s usually more concentrated. Also for peace of mind, see a doctor to perform a pregnancy blood test. Good luck! 💛
