Totally understand you on the gut issues! I have serious issues with mine anyway, and for sure this isnt helping 🙄tempted to try some probiotics or something to see if it helps at all

Westy84 · 30/03/2024 21:17

@curiouscat1987 congratulations 😊 yes my stomach is in bits, it's like I'm either very hungover or have a stomach bug. And without giving TMI when I have to go, I HAVE to go 😬

Tenatively joining, hello hi! I'm in the UK and this will be my first. Based on ovulation I think I should be due around December 10th-14th, but would love to hear how everyone calculates it? I had a very long follicular phase as I only just got off the pill (24/25 days) so I'm assuming I can't just add 280 to the date of my last period? TIA, so excited to chat to you all!

UnicornPrincessSarah · 31/03/2024 08:54

@ninetales Welcome and congratulations NHS normally bases it on the last day of your menstrual cycle's last start date, for me my cycles are normally 28 to 32 days so going off my last start date for my menstrual cycle is 29th Feb puts me in for 5th Dec birth. when you have your 12 week scan though they will confirm dates and everything then

OP posts:
Westy84 · 31/03/2024 09:42

@ninetales congratulations! So can work if out mathematically in a similar way they do with IVF due dates. So the due date based on last period is based on a perfect 14 day follicular phase. (280 in total from LMP to due date). So if you know when you ovulated it's 280 - 14 = 266 or 38. So your estimated due date should be 38 weeks from you ovulation date 😊

ninetales · 31/03/2024 11:06

@Westy84 Thanks! That is what I found online. So it'll officially be December 10th! 🫣

So we've got a time limit now on good holidays. Has anyone got any advice on what the best last holiday would be as a couple? I think we'd be able to afford a weekend break and maybe a week away abroad. I want to go on a cruise, but I'm not sure having a lowered immune system on a cruise ship is the best of ideas 😭

Hi ladies, quick one - does anyone else just not really have any symptoms? I’m 4+4 today and literally feel no different. I have very mildly sensitive nipples but that’s it and I’m worrying myself sick that HCG isn’t rising 😔

Hi im the same as you 4 weeks 4 days and apart from erect nipples and maybe trapped wind/ constipation I don't have any other symptoms, not needing to wee more.

My veins are more visible though

Besides having my bleed, and feeling sightly nauseous last week (which to be honest could have been pure coincidence), nothing at all.
Only thing slightly off is I just cannot sleep, which I struggled with in my first pregnancy but again not really sure if I can put it down to this!

curiouscat1987 · 31/03/2024 16:25

@dreammama dont worry, with my first i had no symptoms at this point, its totally normal! I wish i didnt this time round too actually 😄

dreammama · 31/03/2024 16:29

@UnicornPrincessSarah @icallshade @curiouscat1987 thanks ladies, deff helps make me feel less alone in all of this! I just woke up from a 2 hour nap which is v unlike me (never sleep in the day!) so maybe I can take that as my “symptom” of the day hahaha

UnicornPrincessSarah · 31/03/2024 16:35

@dreammama thats ok after losses i think its only normal we may be a bit concerned, I'm waiting for my roast but feel like I'm about to pass out any min feel exhausted and not even been out the house or done anything

@dredreammama I am nauseous and bloated and a bit gassy. Nipples are changing too. This being my 3rd I can tell you all pregnancies are different. Enjoy thd calm before the storm symptoms will come soon enough 🙂

ninetales · 31/03/2024 19:29

Sooo I'm sick as a dog right now because I have a terrible cold and keep having coughing fits that make my tummy tense so much, Can anybody please slap me in the face verbally and tell me that the coughing is NOT going to mess things up? I logically know that they're different muscles but I occasionally get winces of pain down there. I'm gargling salt water like my life depends on it.

Can confirm you will be fine. Just at the back end of a chest infection I've been coughing up a lung for 5 days and all seems good here

I'm a bit late to the party! I am 5 weeks a 4 days and I'm not getting many symptoms either :-) Tender nipples is the main one I'm having but I've seen and heard it is quite normal. This is my first but I've heard 6-8 weeks the common mark for nausea.

Bailem · 01/04/2024 01:21

Hi everyone, I'd like to join please. I'm currently only 4weeks and 3 days. Congratulations to you all. We tested last night after some strong symptoms. Mainly red hot at night (currently awake and like a furnace), bad anxiety, very light nausea/lack of appetite.

I think the anxiety has knocked me for six. We've been ttc#2 for over a year and had almost given up a bit. OH is elated but I'm just not there and it's really shocked me. I guess it's the hormones being sky high.

Thank you. I've just coughed up some blood and this thing doesn't seem to be getting better. Do you think I should mention it when I let the GP surgery know about the pregnancy? Idk if medical advice is allowed on here but do you know of reliable sources for pregnancy safe ways of alleviating symptoms? Gosh if I could just sleep this would be so much more bearable!
