@Lauren0506 glad to hear your scan went well :)

I have mine in the morning, so many symptoms but also more pink spotting (the smallest amount) today. Haven't had any since Monday so I'm not sure what to think. I do have an ectropion so really hoping it's that...

Hope everybody is good :-)? Scan day today so the nerves are kicking in 😊, between 6-7 weeks so hoping for a more accurate dating today. Xx

Ohh good luck! Hope it goes well for you.

starryx · 18/04/2024 16:58

Damn lucky to get a scan, in the uk you have to wait till 12 weeks. I'm debating trying to get one for 8 weeks xx

Harribo86 · 17/04/2024 21:01

Aw congrats! That's great news. How are you feeling? It's such a rollercoaster isn't it!
So glad there's some others with the same or similar date, nice to be able to chat to people in the same boat.

It still doesn’t feel real! Other than feeling a little more tired than usual, I don’t have any symptoms. Currently debating whether to book an early private scan. How are you feeling?

MissMadam · 18/04/2024 17:39

Anyone rang the Gp to book in with a midwife yet? I’m trying to decide when to call. They won’t see you till 8 weeks here anyway but wondering whether I call when I hit 6 weeks?

I've contacted mine, but it has changed from whe I was last pregnant I had to do a self referral form online and then they rang me back to book.

Has an early reassurance scan today. Was a bit too early but they can see the sack etc and said everything looks normal for this stage :) so I'm definitely only around six weeks as I am so bloated I was worried it was more 😂

I have no idea how it works here. I’m in another town, hopefully it’s straightforward. Annoyingly now further away but it’s same hospital that you go to for scans.

4w6d - feeling crampy. Anyone else experiencing cramps? Not serious but also very aware, is this normal or something to be worried about? Legs (thighs) have a dull ache also

Yes! I have been, 4w5d hadn't taken a test since Monday but I've had cramps every day and sometimes in the night but look at this line!

I had a chemical in August and I have been very tentative to celebrate but I think this is it now

@RedRobyn2021 Congratulations, oh I’m the exact same, I had a chemical in feb and still testing can’t seem to settle myself . Good like very like mine hopefully all going well 🤞 my 2nd test in the day is always much stronger. Think I’ll finally stop testing and believing now

I’m glad other people are obsessed with testing following a loss because I did my 4th test today 🤦🏻‍♀️ DP says I need to stop now so will probably just do a digital next week to see if I’ve moved from 2-3 to 3+, probably won’t tell him though 😂

I did call the GP, who told me to self refer online. I just looked at the best reviews for London hospitals and picked one.
I would prefer to get an early scan for peace of mind.
For early scans, is this done privately?

I called today and they just sent me an online form to fill out and will send an appointment through, I'm only 5w4d so still very early :)

pollypocke · 18/04/2024 19:56

@Harribo86 with early scans you can get them at the early pregnancy unit at your local hospital but usually only if there's an underlying reason, eg bleeding, pain, underlying issues.
I have a 6 week scan on Monday as we've somehow managed to get pregnant when we were previously told it wasn't possible due to my blocked tubes so I need to go for a scan to rule out ectopic pregnancy.
If it's just for the reassurance I'd suspect you'd have to pay privately :)

Ah ok thank you for that. Yeah it's all reassurance for me. I think it happened so quickly that I keeping it's too good to be true.
But I tend to worry about everything so will just hold tight and wait till the hospital gets to me.
I hope everything goes ok for you!

pollypocke · 18/04/2024 20:16

@Harribo86 Aw yeah it still feels a bit unreal this early on too doesn't it? If it'll put your mind at ease I'd definitely get a scan done if you can. We paid for a few private ones with my last pregnancy just for reassurance and was worth paying for, although we did end up with about 20 scan pictures by the time I gave birth 🤣 Thank you! It's going to be a long few days until I have my scan, hopefully I can keep my mind occupied but my little one has just turned 1 so he'll be keeping me busy at least!

RedRobyn2021 · 18/04/2024 20:17

@Nbaby I was thinking the same after my test below, that's it for me now though. I'm going to trust the process and chalk up the chemical to bad luck.

Is this your first baby?

I have a 3yo too

pollypocke · 18/04/2024 20:19

@Nbaby @RedRobyn2021 I'm debating on whether to test again over the weekend. I have a 6 week scan on Monday and my nerves are in bits! These are my tests from yesterday. Both were took on the same day, the Boots one was taken in the morning and the other was later on just to double check!
I know I shouldn't keep testing but I'm also a bag of nerves!

@RedRobyn2021 ive read every forum online and that’s what I’m putting it down to also 🤞I have a 20month old. I must of been about 6 weeks when I found out I was pregnant then wasn’t trying and just realised my period was late. So thankfully I didn’t have to go threw the real early stages with her and was unaware of so much until I had the chemical.
@pollypocke aw let us know how the scan goes I think I’m going to book one around 7/8 weeks not booking until I get a 3+ on a digital think I’ve gone crazy lol. Your boots test looks strong .. My morning tests are light compared to my mid day ones

ninetales · 18/04/2024 21:18

Hi all, I need to VENT. So I got really excited to find a December '24 bump group Discord server! I was happy to overlook the "choose your pronouns" roles (including he/him), I was deeply uncomfortable with the sex neutral language everywhere (BIRTHING PARENT instead of mother), but they've just circulated a survey to ask our opinions on whether we should let "non-gestational parents" into the server. MEN. YOU MEAN MEN!!!!! Omg. Is nothing sacred? Can I not go through the really fucking difficult ritual of matrescence in peace without men invading? Feel like I'm losing my marbles. Anyway. If anyone is interested in making our own server please let me know and I'll set one up. I prefer using Discord because I'm borderline unhealthily obsessed with privacy and don't like my comments being online for the world to see.

In better news, DH and I have just booked our last proper holiday together just the two of us and we have our first scan (6+6) this Monday.

@Nbaby It sort of feels like i have been on a heavy leg sessions, but even walking to shops now hurts too and they feel heavy

My breast just feel heavy not really sore, my nipples on the other hand want to be almost erect all the time and super sensitive and tender, and the veins in my boobs are now more visible

New symptoms for me are sided waist pain, very bad headaches, sinus pressure and feels like my nose is blocked and when I sneeze or blow my nose there is sometimes blood, mix of some days being super hungry and somedays not so hungry.
