@emmies86 thats good, any particular reason for your scan? It was always 6 weeks as standard they’d do a scan but now apparently it’s 7 weeks as there should definitely be a heartbeat at that stage, and helps anxiety. But now I the anxiety is worse having to wait!

MrsS11 · 07/04/2024 20:08

@curiouscat1987 I'm glad it's not just me! I'm on holiday so was wondering if it's just the holiday bloat, but I'm pretty sure I was in maternity jeans by Christmas for my August baby.. I've been worrying about not feeling enough symptoms, then didn't have breakfast quickly enough the other day and spewed the first of it up. So I guess I'm pregnant 😅 have a private scan booked for 8 weeks as the company near me doesn't do them before then.
I'm using Ovia which is quite cute

ProudSheep · 07/04/2024 20:31

Oh my goodness I’m glad it’s not just me! I tested positive 2 weeks ago and am 5w 3d. It’s my first pregnancy after trying for almost a year, and I’m 34. Trying to enjoy the pleasant things so far and enjoy the feeling of knowing that by Christmas hopefully we’ll be posing for pictures in front of our Christmas Tree! But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried that I could MC - I think because of my age mainly, and I did bleed a little 6 days ago which took me by surprise. I have tested every day since and it’s a strong positive. But other than tiredness and tender boobs, I haven’t had any other symptoms. I’m kind of wishing some sickness just to confirm it all even more 🤦‍♀️ Call me crazy!
has anyone else experienced bleeding or other symptoms?
also, I don’t have my first antenatal appointment until 9w. Is that normal?

Just wanted to confirm it's in my uterus. But private ones will do viability from 6 weeks. So I figured why not to easy my anxiety. 7 weeks isn't too far away. I understand the anxiety though

Lauren0506 · 08/04/2024 09:42

@ProudSheep Hey just seen your post, this is my second pregnancy I’m roughly about 5 weeks and a day now, I haven’t had a bleed as of yet ( hopefully I don’t) but I did with my first at 7 weeks in the dentist of all places 🙈 turned out it was a pocket of blood that gathered at the top of my uterus and now have a healthy 2 year old. Maybe your bleed was inplantation, plus if it was a little and didn’t carry on I wouldn’t be to concerned :) my Nan had regular periods all through her pregnancy how strange! Xx

ProudSheep · 08/04/2024 10:03

Thanks you @Lauren0506 ! Helps to hear that others have been through similar. Hope this pregnancy is going smoothly for you ☺️

Lauren0506 · 08/04/2024 10:05

@ProudSheep im still a nervous wreck like i was last time anything i feel worries me lol. You forget when it’s been nearly 3 years! I feel ok Thankyou just tiredness, abit of nausea but it’s calmed down and breast tenderness but I know that’s just gonna get worst 🤣. How are you feeling? Xx

ProudSheep · 08/04/2024 10:10

@Lauren0506 Haha I suppose it’s only natural to worry!
I feel exactly the same as you tbh - I had a bit of nausea last week and the week before but nothing that would have even made me think I was pregnant if I didn’t already know. tiredness and breast tenderness are the main drivers for giving me zero enthusiasm to do anything! 🤦‍♀️ Booked a private scan for 2 weeks time so hopefully we can get a glimpse and settle our nerves a bit. I couldn’t wait until the NHS one which isn’t booked yet until our first midwife appointment

Lauren0506 · 08/04/2024 11:08

Yep I have no energy either! I got a few cramps today, not sure if iv over done it with the housework! Just got back from the docs about something else and he said it’s normal to have some etc.. I have the midwife next week so I’m hoping for an early scan! This one was a big suprise so it’s not quite hit me yet haha xx

T4Opal · 08/04/2024 11:32

Hiya, please can I join, just tested this morning and got a faint positive at 10dpo on a cheapy so went out to buy a digital and it says 1-2 weeks :). I’m 36 and have a 5 year old. We had a missed miscarriage August 2022 but no luck for 13 months of trying since. I’m so excited but I know the road ahead is long!

Lauren0506 · 08/04/2024 14:36

Hey @T4Opal
congratulations for starters :) iv had a missed miscarriage before its horrible so I feel your pain. Welcome to the group hun, I have a 2 year old and roughly about 5 weeks, you forget what early pregnancy feels like don’t you! Xx

Hope we all ok and had a good weekend

So i had my early ressurance scan today, The baby is in the right position and my date is correct 5 weeks 5 days today. We saw egg sac and gestation sac, and could also see that I ovulated from my left side wich confirms the pain I had 12/13 March when flo predicted my ovulation was wondering if I was feeling ovulation pain and seems I'm intuned with my body lol

Going back for my second scan 24th April where I will be 8 weeks to hopefully see fetal pole and heartbeat

Been having loose bowels today and quiet gassy, cramps in my belly, having to uranate a bit more, and sense a smell up a little to, and still have erect nipples and feel a bit tired but so far these are my only symptoms

@UnicornPrincessSarah i love this!! I love that I saw your first positive in the other group and now a little pic!! Eek!
I had bloods done today and HCG is at 240 which is normal as I’m around 4 weeks. I also have had erect nipples today 😂 I feel like a porn star… and my sense of smell is so heightened. Flowers in this room smell sooo strong!

tryingtoconceive2012 · 08/04/2024 17:46

Hey ladies,

One week late with my period so tested today & to my surprise I’m apparently 2-3 weeks pregnant.
Feel like I’m just in a state of shock at the moment, my heart has been beating out my chest all afternoon. We weren’t trying & we have just bought a house (get the keys in 3 weeks hopefully) so it’s a big surprise.

We don’t have any babies yet so no idea what happens next? Is that a stupid question! I’m so anxious, mostly about money and how we are going to get on w a house reno, being self employed and having a baby in the mix.

nhs predicting due date of December 10th. I don’t have any symptoms other than being a bit tired!

Any early pregnancy advice is welcomed

thanks!

Dogscanlookup · 08/04/2024 19:04

@12lisalou congratulations! If it helps I think even when you’re planning for a baby when it happens you still don’t feel ready. Best advice I think I can give it allow any emotion you feel and don’t feel guilty if you’re feeling scared or apprehensive.
and money - I promise you’ll find a way and it will work out. Up until now you haven’t factored in a baby - but it’s surprising how you work it out! Now I’m wondering how I ever felt short on cash the amount that goes on my daughter 😂
