Anyone else tested super early and due December 2024? This is my 2nd pregnancy after a mmc 2 days after my 12 week scan in December and actual miscarriage in January.

Hoping this will be the 1 that sticks and is healthy. Think my due date is Dec 3rd

Hey @UnicornPrincessSarah I’m not an expert by any means and I know lots of us (me included) use line progression as a proxy for increasing HCG. But I think the reality is that a) a line is a line, which would indicate you’re still pregnant, and the tests aren’t designed to be used the way loads of us use them. It would be different if you went to testing negative and had other symptoms. And b) lots of things can impact strength of the test, including how hydrated you are, time of test, even slight differences in the tests themselves, and eventually you can get something called the hook effect (though I think that’s typically later). I completely understand your worries, but those lines still look strong to me!

@Wise0wl I have noticed this box is dated made 2022 my other box was made 2023, and all the new ones are the ones not so dark as the first box even the control line. so maybe a dye issue? the strongest one from the last box was on Saturday 16/18dpo

Thank you for the reassurance

Just going crazy as last week I had period like cramps and this week I just have slight fatigue, erect sensitive nipples, and visible veins on body and a lot of trapped gas. Feels like I should have more for 4 weeks 4/5 days but what I read has mixed reviews lol

Hi ladies

Hope we all been having a nice weekend and easter monday

Im a bit worried as Saturday's fmu test is darker than the 2 tests I have done since, the 2 new tests have been with a new batch of wondfos though, but still fum

8.30am 29th march 15/17 dpo
7.45am 30th march 16/18 dpo
7.12 am 31st march 17/19 dpo new wondfos
9am 1st April 18/20 dpo new wondfo (bottom test)

It looks to me like the control line is also lighter so in that sense I wouldn't worry so much about it (easier said than done I know!) Have you done any more tests since? Could you also potentially also scan on premom as an ovulation test which could tell you the ratio in comparison to the others given the control line is lighter as a bit of reassurance?

I did a clearblue digital yesterday morning at 5 weeks and it still showed 2-3 weeks, did consider buying more but decided it will give me more stress and won't change the outcome at this stage plus I know for me testing in evening gets me a darker test than morning.

Little update from me at 5+1 - have decided I'm not doing any more tests and feel a lot better for it. Symptoms seem to be coming and going. Not felt tired since yesterday, boobs are a bit sensitive but nothing crazy and cravings have calmed a little. Trying to not worry about that as my last pregnancy I was extremely tired the entire time but I know every pregnancy is different.

Also decided I'm going to book a scan at 7week+6days but will wait till end of next week to do that.

How are we all doing?
I'm thinking to maybe setup a WhatsApp group for us due in December if anyone is interested will post a link on here to join. I was in 1 during my last pregnancy and it was really useful.

Exactly the same here! I am 5+1 also and did a Clearblue yesterday at 5 weeks. Also got a 2-3, was really hoping for the 3+! I can’t decide whether to buy more. This’ll be my last baby (all being my well), so I kinda want to to have ticked off every box, but I’ve spent so so much on tests this month, I know it’s wasting money for no reason. We’ll see…

I’d be up for a WhatsApp group, I had one last time also which was great.

I’m also going to book an early scan around then.

Hi
So the tests since Saturday have been from my new box of wondfos and these are dated made 2022 my other ones were made 2023 but seems the ink in the new box isn't as good, i did a test today on fmu 8 hour hold (lucky pregnancy not making me wee just yet lol) and no drinking since 11pm

today is dark but can see ink is patchy

I don't have any ovulation stips as never used them, but would that work as not done that before would i scan it in as ovulation?

Im 5 weeks Thursday was going to hold out till the weekend to maybe do the test when it should turn 3 weeks?

Early on in testing i did evening tests on 4 hour holds that were darker then Fmu

attached the test from today's new box 2022 date and the Saturdays one (old box 2023 date)

Would deff be up for the WhatsApp app group to I'm 4 weeks 5/6 days today

My symptoms are my veins on my body being more visible, Fatigue, and erect nipples and lots of trapped gas, I suppose further along we get we will get more symptoms.

Thinking of doing an early scan around the 8 weeks mark myself

It may well just be the box of tests. It should work the same and just scan it as ovulation and you'll get a value, 1 meaning its same as the control line and anything above meaning darker. Just try to not take it as an exact science, lighting and angle can play a factor into it to.

Also, a little heads up clearblue digital it doesn't always show as 3+ weeks for everyone. I didn't get it yesterday when I was 5 weeks but I know if I had done it in the afternoon when my tests are usually darker I might have done but not buying any more tests to confirm it.

Thanks @NphysT, I might join the WhatsApp later on if that’s ok. I know it makes no sense but I don’t want to count my chickens just yet! I admire you for stopping testing. I’ve got a CB weeks test calling to me for later this week but I can’t decide whether to do it, or not.

Beka245 · 02/04/2024 20:08

Hi all, I've just found this thread and have been catching up on messages.
I'm 5 weeks 1 day pregnant, this is my first pregancy which was conceived via IVF (due to being in same sex marriage).
Tested positive 9dp5dt and had HCG checked 11dp5dt which was 554.
We're very excited but anxious at the same time.
Yesterday and today I've had a small amount of brown spotting when wiping (only happened 4 times) it really freaked me out at first and was thinking the worst. But I've been in contact with my fertility clinic who said this is very normal in early pregnancy and were not concerned, I also phoned my local EPU who said the same thing but have booked me in for an early scan next Tuesday (I'll be 6 weeks 1 day) to make sure everything is OK.
Has anyone else experienced any spotting?
@NphysT thanks for setting up the whatsapp group I will probably join 😊

UnicornPrincessSarah · 02/04/2024 21:01

Hi ladies

Just wondering if anyone has give birth or had there midwife care given to them by St Thomas' Hospital in westmister london? and if they have what there experiences where like

Wise0wl · 02/04/2024 21:20

Hi @Beka245, welcome and congratulations! I’ve had spotting, both for non-identifiable reasons and as a result of a subchorionic haematoma. I’ve been prescribed progesterone pessaries to help prevent spotting, which is something you should ask the EPU/your clinic about. Bleeding in early pregnancy is common, I hope your scan goes ok (and let me know if you have any questions).

@UnicornPrincessSarah not me personally but I have friends who have and had a good experience. Is that where you’re thinking of registering?

TTCemotionalrollercoaster · 02/04/2024 21:22

Hi everyone can I please join too? I’m 4 weeks and 4 days today, due date 6th December. First pregnancy but had two chemicals in the last 10 months. I’m in my early 40s so feeling grateful to be pregnant but also very anxious about it sticking. I have felt a bit more tired than usual and have mild period like cramps and twinges which are a bit disconcerting, but it has been helpful to read that other people here have experienced those too so trying not to worry too much! I’m definitely considering an early scan. @NphysT thank you for organising a WhatsApp group sounds very helpful.

Kr2014 · 02/04/2024 21:24

Hiya, I tested yesterday 12DPO and got super faint line thought evap tested today these were the results am and pm. Get worried that it’s too faint as I tested early (4w tomorrow). Anyone else this faint?
thanks in advance ☺️

@TTCemotionalrollercoaster I started get mild cramps today too with past miscarriage around this time 4w tomorrow. good luck I’m sure it will all be happy and healthy I’m due 12th of December!

Beka245 · 02/04/2024 21:34

@Wise0wl Thanks for the information and reassurance, such a nerve-wrecking time!
I'm actually already on progesterone suppositories (Cyclogest) and will be on them for the duration of first trimester. It's standard for IVF pregnancies, think it's something to do with all the IVF meds and they can reduce your natural progesterone production initially.

@TTCemotionalrollercoaster welcome 👋 I'm 5 weeks 1 day, and have been having some mild cramping and twinges the last couple of days. I've been reassured from my fertility clinic and EPU that it's common and normal in early pregancy as everything is just stretching and moving. So I'm also trying not to worry to much!

I have done 2 refferals one for my local romford but this has 2 start rating and bad reviews so did another one today for st thomos and now wondering if that is a good decision lol, we don't drive either both can get buses, taxies or trains to and I know already I need a planned c section due to some bowel issues I have

I have a very similar set of symptoms and have also worried at times if it’s normal. Many period like cramps, messages DH today convinced my period was coming. Period cramps but still no period, woooo.

Also your lines are looking good I think it’s the new tests.

UnicornPrincessSarah · 02/04/2024 22:19

@cavemom Thank you and yeah i think the new test may have some ink issues
The period like cramps have now stopped that was around 22nd march for few days, now its just erect nipples and trapped gas

got hcg blood test booked for tueday

Melsayshello · 02/04/2024 23:23

Hello everyone! I’m new to the thread. Huge congrats to you all on your BFPs! I got mine on 23/3 and think I am now around 5 weeks today. I have booked in for a private scan next weekend at 6+5. I have a 4 year old daughter and very excited for this next adventure!

when I was pregnant with my daughter I found a lovely support network through this and we made a private Facebook group. We then did weekly bump updates followed by weekly baby updates when the babies arrived. We still use it 4 years on! Would love to find the same kind of support group for this pregnancy as it is so lovely to bond with others going through it all at the same time 💖✨ just putting the idea out there hehe. It could have been mentioned but wasn’t able to catch up on all the messages! Looking forward to sharing the excitement and hope you are all keeping well

Hi there - can I join?

Got this positive Sunday morning. I'm 38, been trying for 19 months - Nada.

It took me 16 months to fall first time, resulting in heartbreaking MMC, then conceived my son after that.

I'm 4+5 today and don't feel pregnant at all, I'm so anxious and sad it's not going to stick because of my age. With my MMC I had no nausea and with my son it started around now so I'm really upset by lack of nausea. I've had sore boobs but this morning nothing. I'm def fatigued, fell asleep at 7.30 last night. Had been needing the loo a lot but again not last night...

I'm so good at telling others not to symptom spot but I'm so anxious and want this baby so much :(

Sorry to be a downer. Due date 07/12/24 exactly 4 years after my son

Due December 2024
MOGMOGMOG85 · 03/04/2024 06:37

@Beka245 I had about 7 bleeding episodes with my son, including some clotting. With my MMC absolutely nothing. Basically if the bleeding gets worse and worse then worry, if it comes and then goes again it's nothing to worry about xx

@TTCemotionalrollercoaster I'm almost 39, been trying 19 months, I'm exactly same far along as you (4+5) and v worried about it sticking cos of my age. We were just about to start ICSI and although this is fantastic news to be pregnant, I'm upset in case it doesn't work out and just delays treatment for me .. xx

KaliJones · 03/04/2024 19:39

Hi, congrats to new people who’ve joined!

I have my first midwife appointment on Friday at (what I think) is 5+5. Is anyone else having one so early? This is my third pregnancy and I swear it was closer to 10 weeks with those two. She asked for dates so she is aware.

TTCemotionalrollercoaster · 04/04/2024 06:10

@MOGMOGMOG85 I completely understand your anxiety given how long you had been ttc. I know a few friends who got pregnant in their 40s, so 38 is still young ☺️
