Anyone else tested super early and due December 2024? This is my 2nd pregnancy after a mmc 2 days after my 12 week scan in December and actual miscarriage in January.

Hoping this will be the 1 that sticks and is healthy. Think my due date is Dec 3rd

Anyone had itchy scalp . I'm week25. And such itchy scalp. No nits or anything . Not sure what to do

No

Perhaps it's hormones, they are to blame for everything

Hi. I'm due in January but the Jan 2025 group is not very active lol
Is there a FB or WhatsApp group for this group ?

I came over from Jan group too. My due date is the 4th Jan but I’m pretty sure they’ll arrive early, if it’s like my son.

That Jan group is so inactive. I'm surprised why that is though. With my first baby the Mumsnet group was soo active and we shifted to a private FB group and it's still always so active

@MrsNT get your iron levels checked. Had it with my first until DC was about 1 year old! I ended up with thinning hair too. Was my iron all along.

@ElizaGreen
Welcome!
No I haven't packed a hospital bag yet! I will probably do that the last weekend in November (due 23rd December here).

I'll probably put something together around 38 weeks. I'm having a home birth but it's always good to be prepared

There's loads of YouTube videos of women packing their hospital bag if you need some help thinking of everything you might need

Most important thing is that you feel comfortable at hospital, so bring snacks, drinks and maybe some mood lighting like some electronic candles, so you can switch the lights off, this should help you get in the zone xx

MrsNT · 14/10/2024 15:17

Hi apologies but could I have the FB link again plz as previous one expired

Lunamoon23 · 15/10/2024 07:55

@ElizaGreen I have started packing my hospital bag, literally just this weekend. Purely because we were decorating baby's room and the bag I've got for hospital was in there along with some stuff I'd brought for the occasion, so I popped them into the bag ready. But it's not ready to go. Just have PJs, underwear, disposable underwear, breast pads, maternity pads and peppermint tea in there currently lol.

Also ladies, I noticed yesterday the one of my nipples feels really odd. It feels really dry and almost scaley feeling. Doesn't visibly look so, but feels like it. Is this a normal pregnancy thing? Wasn't like it Sunday, but was yesterday and is today x

Can anyone recommend a good nightie/ night shirt for hospital? I’ll be having a c-section so will have a catheter etc so pyjamas are no good.

Sorry I can't help, I've packed pjs for mine. (C section also) I don't own a nightie and most of the shops have now stopped selling them.
I am going to have a look in primark soonish as don't want to buy expensive as it's not something I'd usually wear and I'll only be wearing it for a night. Xxxxx

I've also heard often, that you'll usually be in the hospital gown until the catheter is removed anyway, due to not being mobile (which is why the catheter is in). So a lot of people recommend a vest top (a breastfeeding one if you're planning to breastfeed) which I've brought (I brought two from George asda, £6 each). Then you can pop that ontop and have the gown/blankets covering on bottom. As they'll also be checking your maternity pad and bedsheet while you're immobile to monitor your bleeding. Until you're able to be up and showering which is usually after the catheter is removed which I've just got maternity PJs for that are super high waisted to avoid anything rubbing against my incision. X

Molly4689 · 15/10/2024 20:01

@PermanentlyTired03 I was in the hospital gown until it was removed. The maternity night gown I bought got worn for about 5 hours in total and then I put on a jumpsuit to go home. It was never worn again so a waste of money for me but then I don't like wearing nighties normally!

This time I'm just taking some high waisted maternity PJ's I already have and can go home in and a dressing gown. Will stay in the hospital gown for as long as possible and ask for another if needed. Will just use dressing gown to cover up a bit more if I need to.

I just had a big oversized t-shirt and then boxer style shorts when I had my c-section with the catheter. Had no issues with it but I only had it in for about 8 hours?

LilyJessie · 16/10/2024 07:15

@Lunamoon23 it must be as I've had it! I think it's where they're growing and stretching!

OnNaturesCourse · 16/10/2024 19:56

Does anyone have newly veiny boobs?

DH has pointed it out tonight and upon inspection they are both super veiny but one more so, and that one also has a super large areola compared to the other.

I can't remember this with my others, is it normal? Especially since it's more on one than the other.

Ahh! I'm thankful to hear I'm not alone. Oddly it's only the one nipple 😂
