Sickness is taking over here!!

@MudandMoet I’m having them in my sleep and my subconscious mind has learned of the horrible cramps that follow and in my sleep my body is both trying to climax and fighting it at the same time 😂

I can echo the paranoia, but mine has sort of dimmed down. In the beginning of the pregnancy I was really anxious over the unknown, it was affecting my quality of life. now with my head I’m worried aswell, but it doesn’t take me over anymore. The after scan happiness is short lived for sure.

second day in a row I’ve been having horrible nausea, it’s not like it was before, before it was mild. My nausea has now changed to the food poisoning type of nausea. It’s more prevalent in the evening. Now I actually feel I am close to vomiting without the gag that I had before. I don’t know I’m surprised how this can be, last week I had no sickness at all…this week it’s shifted gears. The sickness I’m having now is like those 3 second sickness attacks I had in week 7 that made me panic over possibly throwing up in a shop. But now it’s going on for hours at end. I had it today straight on from 1730 to now….

Morning everyone! I’ve been up for a couple of hours literally just gagging every few minutes. Lovely.

I’ve got a meeting with HR this morning to do my workplace risk assessment. The main thing I’m interested in is what the plan is for if I need to leave to be sick while I’ve got 30 teenagers in my charge: I know they’ll say “ask someone to watch them for a few minutes”, but I don’t think they realise how suddenly I’ll need to run and how long I’ll be gone for (20 minutes minimum I’d say). Oh well, I’m sure there must be something in place because I’m not the first pregnant teacher in the world.

My sickness has gone at the moment but my god my emotions are not ok 🤣
I’ve spent the last 30 minutes crying because my mum is poorly with flu and persistent sickness and there is nothing I can do 🫣

@VT6 Last night I cried because my husband didn’t let me have a bite of his donut. I think your reason is much more valid!

I’m having some WILD dreams. I woke up in hot sweats this morning having dreamt there were moose in my bedroom. What the actual? 😂🫠

Hmm. For the past three weeks or so, I’ve been retching every time I brush my teeth. Yesterday was the worst - I was actually sick last night after brushing.

This morning I’ve just brushed and, no retching! My mild nausea doesn’t appear to have kicked in (yet?) either.

I’m 9w1d today. Did this happen to anyone else or is it a sign of impending doom?!

Ladies I think I’ve started showing 🫣 my first pregnancy (that’s got this far) I’m 10 +3 - seems so early to show but there is 100% a bump

@Decaffe week 9 it milded down for me (had it just few days per week and not few days in a row, more like every other or third day)and week 10 I had no sickness at all and week 11 it’s back with a proper kick.

Went for the 12 week scan today ❤️ put me back a few days so I’m 11w4d, but baby was perfectly healthy and happy, all snuggled up and waving at us 🥹 was such a relief to see it, I’ve felt anxious the last week or so about whether something could have happened since our private scan, just totally got in my head about everything! Hope everyone is doing well today xx

@Xur I can't imagine what that's like having them in your sleep. It must be such a weird yet wonderful sensation! I went solo for the one I had bad cramps for. DH is being very overly careful when we have sex and if I'm being truly honest it's not really getting me there but I don't wanna say and then him think he's got to go at it a bit more. God this pregnancy malarkey is hard work at times 🫢

@Lillers @vt6 My moods are wild! Couldn't sleep last night because of a minor thing at work yesterday. Lack of sleep makes me even more emotional. Somewhere around 2am last night I decided I will quit my job, sell my house and move countries 🙃 of course I won't do it (I can't afford it lol) but I'm so up and down 😂

ive got my 12 week scan tomorrow and understand the anxiety. We had a scan at 9 weeks and baby was measuring ahead. But the weeks inbetween I just worry anything can happen.

My bellies also gone down a lot, I was so mega bloated though I’m guessing it’s just my digestive system getting use to all the hormones?

Had my first midwife appointment today gave me the acupuncture sickness pins seem to be working so far so will see how we go. Had to tell my boss I need a few weeks of can’t bare it

Thank you! Yeah I had one at 8 and a half weeks and the dates had matched up at that point, but I won’t complain about a few days being off haha. Good luck with your scan tomorrow 💕

I get super bloated after eating anything, but I’ve definitely got a bit of a bump that doesn’t disappear that wasn’t here a month ago!!

I find pregnancy sex boring, my sex drive has gone down. My friend said though that on second trimester it should increase.

@RachSmile happy you had a positive scan! I am actually pretty sure that mine will measure behind aswell. I had my last scan at 8+3 and it was measuring ahead then. Anyway the size doesn’t matter that much, it’s all about whether it’s healthy and growing at all. Your nugget is wiggling away so that is all that matters!

Hi, first pregnancy so new to all this. How long should I wait for a midwife to contact me after doing an online antenatal self referral? I’m 12 weeks now and worried it’s getting late to do all the initial tests and eagerly waiting for a scan!

Just had my 12 week scan, all good and baby measuring a couple of days ahead 😀it took aaaaages as he was hiding in a corner and just would.not.move lol. I walked around, went for a wee, moved from side to side and he eventually made an appearance, took a good 45 minutes 😅

@JoJo2024 you will need to chase them up as let them know they want to do your first scan before 14+5 so they’ll have to squish you in quickly.

But not your fault they’ve not contacted you!
I’ll be 9+3 for my booking tomorrow I know some people that go in even sooner but I wasn’t worried before 8-10!

I just remember with my first I was on the last day they could fit me in and the sonographer was a bit rude to me! Ha! X

Hi all, first time posting but have been following along for a while & joined the fb group. I’m still in a MN fb group from my first born and it’s so lovely to have♥️

Have been too nervous to post before my 12 week scan, which I had today. Baby measuring a little further ahead than I thought at 13weeks, so I’m technically very end of Aug now but so sure I’ll go late so hoping you won’t kick me out as you all seem to lovely 🫣

Here in solidarity with everyone feeling absolutely pants too. Hoping it eases soon for us all!

@tryingfortwo2 what a lovely photo! My baby just wouldn't sit like that for us 😂he was upside down in a little corner, flat out refusing to give us a good pic 😂

@cd24x Ahh I had this a couple of weeks back, it was awful. I had one on roof of my mouth, and then one on my tonsil which was so painful swallowing. They did seem to go away fairly quickly at least. Fingers crossed they go quickly for you too!
