went for a scan yesterday due to spotting and there was a heart beat, this morning I needed a number two and as I was having one a clot came out with it 😭😭😭 I dipped the tissue in the loo to see if it was and this is what it made 😢 the midwife can't do anything and has said I have to wait and see and theres nothing they can do. Has anyone experienced this amount of blood before and everything was ok?? It's like something passed through. I don't have cramps yet 😢

Hiya,

What size was the clot? I had a clot when I was around your time and I am 6 months pregnant now so please don't be too scared!

CB2805 · 12/01/2024 14:01

Hi hun,
ive been experiencing spotting since the beginning of my pregnancy. At 12 weeks I had a proper red full flow bleed with lots of clots of different sizes. I’m still bleeding brown and experience every now and then brown stingy clots. I had numerous of scans (just came back from one) and babies seem happy and wiggly. They still can’t determine the cause of the bleeds but everyone keeps saying that as long it’s not red with cramps I shouldn’t worry.
how far along are you?

Rockyslife · 12/01/2024 17:41

Hi ladies, thanks for your messages, during a really terrible and stressful time it's at least helped me slightly. I've booked a scan tonight to confirm whether what I think is happening is happening, I don't see how I can have clots/blood like this and baby is still alive 😢 I'm so scared but I guess I will have to put my big girl pants on. Just so broken that it took 3 years and then this happens 😢

If it helps I had a clot the size of my whole hand (like a piece of liver it was huge) around 22 weeks? And baby was fine, all my very best wishes it will all be fine for you OP x

Rockyslife · 12/01/2024 18:03

Hey, oh wow I bet that was terrible, did you go for an immediate scan where they could confirm that baby was completely fine? Sadly I have no luck so not holding any hope

OP posts:
CB2805 · 12/01/2024 18:08

@Rockyslife yes I do have an uncomfortable feeling down there, like very light cramps pains almost feels like a bruise if that make sense.
did you book your scan?
Picture wise I did experience the same exact stingy clots last night only darker and both babies are still fine.

Rockyslife · 12/01/2024 18:13

How many weeks are you if you don't mind me asking? I am so pleased for you. Had the clots/brown cramps disappeared now? I am waiting for it to get worse. Yes I have managed to book a private scan at 7.45 tonight, I couldn't wait til Sunday. Just gutted cause there was a heart beat yesterday, didn't feel right yesterday either just scared to cough or go to the loo

Some bleeding can be ok, some not. Glad you have a scan booked. Let us know how it goes

BeckyH123 · 12/01/2024 18:34

Sending my best thoughts and wishes for your scan!

booktokbear · 12/01/2024 19:16

Sending thoughts op. If it helps (prob doesn't) when I lost our baby I didn't lose any blood at all. It's all so different between people. So hopefully your bubba will be ok. Thinking of you 💐

CB2805 · 12/01/2024 20:51

@Rockyslife im 13weeks and unfortunately no the brown bleeding is still there(I have it already for 9days in a row and I can’t see it slowing down)

CB2805 · 12/01/2024 20:52

@Rockyslife how did your scan go? Everything alright?

Mummyo1 · 12/01/2024 21:05

How far are you?

jellyfish2 · 13/01/2024 15:01

OP how did you get on at your scan?

PubicZirconia · 13/01/2024 15:04

Thinking of you OP x

Rockyslife · 13/01/2024 18:13

I'm in hospital, severe cramps and bleed, got to stay in and keep pain at bay. Got to wait for scan in morning. Cervix was closed on examination but can still be a miss carriage just need the cervix to open or what ever. I have never been so bloody traumatised as today 😢 thanks for the support ladies

I do have a friend who had loads of bleeding that soaked through her outer clothes during pregnancy but she still gave birth to a health baby a few months later.

Really hoping everything is OK for you, OP.

jellyfish2 · 13/01/2024 18:28

I really hope you're ok x

Rockyslife · 13/01/2024 22:16

Scan was ok yesterday no reason for blood anywhere etc but the blood and cramps I've experienced today is just absolutely mental especially if nothing was seen blood wise on baby. But I guess things happen within minutes in early pregnancy. Have a scan early morning to see if baby has passed through me or not, I am so so scared as I can't see it being ok after the amount of blood and cramps today

OP posts:
CB2805 · 14/01/2024 01:16

@Rockyslife i hope everything will turn out well tomorrow🤞 if your cervix is still closed there is still hope!

TheShellBeach · 14/01/2024 01:22

I'm so sorry OP. I had a lot of miscarriages and I know you'll be feeling terrible.

I hope the scan gives you better news in the morning.

Rockyslife · 14/01/2024 07:01

Thank you, how long did you bleed and cramp for if you don't mind me asking? X

OP posts:
BeckyH123 · 14/01/2024 07:11

Hiya, I have had 3 miscarriages and they all vary from bleeding for a few days to bleeding pretty much for a month, fingers crossed you are not miscarrying though!

LondonGirl1992 · 14/01/2024 08:05

I had the same thing happen- 3 major bleeds and heavy clotting. I would have bright red gushing blood for a day and then brown dried blood for a few days to follow. Mine was caused by a Hematoma which is a bleed surrounding the baby. I’m now 22 weeks pregnant and thanks to being on progesterone pessaries, the bleed reabsorbed.

It is an utterly terrifying experience. Sending you so much love and keeping everything crossed for you and your little bean. X
