Hi all,
Hope you're all well,
I am 8 weeks 5 days today (as measured on an early scan) and due 3/8/24
Anyone around the same mark?
Ive found the due in august thread very busy and hard to keep up with and actually talk to people so was wondering if anyone wants to follow each other's journeys on here :)

Hi 👋 I think im 8 weeks 5 days too and due on 4th August! I haven’t had an early scan so hoping all will be okay at the 12 week scan in a few weeks.

how are you feeling? I’ve been feeling really nauseous most days for over a month now and feeling a bit fed up with it at the moment! 😩

ThelastRolo20 · 28/12/2023 19:23

Hi both! I'll join - I also found the August thread super busy and hard to keep up on. I'm 6+2 weeks so due 20th August. Unfortunately had a missed miscarriage in October at 12 weeks so have a couple of early scans - first one is next week at 7+1.

As with both previous pregnancies (from which I have 1 DD) I have very few symptoms 😅

Sav2023 · 28/12/2023 19:29

Hello! I am 8 weeks, I had an early scan yesterday and everything looks good so far ❤️
I also had a MMC in September so will have another scan at 10 weeks for more reassurance. I have gotten further this time than last.
Would love to join along with everyone’s journey 😊

How are you feeling about your scan x

ThelastRolo20 · 28/12/2023 20:04

Thanks @boonpop98. I feel okay, I didn't feel nervous at all with my first pregnancy but always had the feeling something wasn't quite right with the second one. I'm back to feeling okay about this one so strangely not too nervous about the scan. I'm mainly going as getting the odd thought of "what if it's ectopic?" Or something like that.

My first midwife call is next week too and my daughter turns 2, so it's all happening! How bad is your nausea? Are you able to keep food down? X

Sav2023 · 28/12/2023 20:13

@boonpop98 congratulations to you too!
@ThelastRolo20 thats good that your managing symptoms well! I can’t wait to enjoy food and have the energy to go out and do stuff. I felt the same with my last pregnancy I knew something wasn’t right. Feeling a bit more relaxed with this one, though still taking it day by day.
@Welshgal85 congratulations!
I have been having pretty bad nausea but managing to keep everything down luckily, fatigue and aching back/hips too. Though I imagine those aches are because I’m mostly lying down feeling rough 😅.
I have my first midwife appointment on the 2nd and hopefully the 25th for my 12 week scan.
Do most of you have other children? This will hopefully be our first. Xx

ThelastRolo20 · 28/12/2023 20:16

@Sav2023 sorry to hear about your MMC - they're utterly awful. How exciting about this being your first! Not too long now until your 12 week scan 😊

GeographyTeacher · 28/12/2023 20:30

Hello!

I am also 8+5 and due August 3rd….however an early scan revealed I’m pregnant with twins so likely to have an earlier due date.

I had a MMC at 13 weeks back in July and really struggling with anxiety at the moment. Doing my best to take each day as it comes. I know I’m not alone judging from some of the comments here.

No nausea or sickness but exhaustion, headaches, extreme hunger, constipation and sore boobs. Feeling a bit worried as the soreness has eased over the last few days.

These first weeks just feel so so tough and just endless…!

Sav2023 · 28/12/2023 20:31

@ThelastRolo20 thank you, it was really tough as you know but got through it. Also feel really grateful to have gotten pregnant so quickly so keeping positive. Good luck with your scan next week. You mentioned having the odd worry about ectopic, wanted you to know I had been thinking the same. I think after a loss it’s easy to think worst case scenarios.

GeographyTeacher · 28/12/2023 20:31

EDIT 12 weeks

Sav2023 · 28/12/2023 20:33

@GeographyTeacher congratulations! I think it’s normal for symptoms to come and go, I definitely feel sicker some days than others. Sorry to hear about your MMC x

I am able to keep foods down depending on what i eat,
Mostly the problem is actually eating because i feel too nauseous but the hungrier i get the worse the nausea is so its been difficult

Hey! I'm 6+3, so I'm due aug 19th. It's my second pregnancy, my first ended in a MMC in the summer so I'm anxious but excited too. Still no symptoms which I think is adding to my nerves haha.

I have my first scan on Monday, it's a private one but I'm still excited 😅

Welshgal85 · 28/12/2023 21:39

Thanks @boonpop98 @Sav2023 Congratulations to you too! 😊

I had my booking appointment with the midwife on the phone a few weeks ago. Just got to wait for the scan now. This will be our first so all feels a bit overwhelming/scary/exciting at the same time!

CatLadyH · 28/12/2023 22:25

Hiya would love to join. I’m 8 weeks and 5 today too with due date of 3/8/2024! Super nervous but super excited at the same time. We had an early loss at 6wk in June and took me a while to process it. Had a scan last Friday which was amazing to see a baby and heartbeat! I also had my booking in appointment last Friday too. Just waiting to hear on date of 12 week-ish scan and once that’s happened I think I’ll Bea lot more relaxed. Sendings lots of love 💖

SnookyPook · 28/12/2023 23:16

Hi All! I was also on the other thread (which I think has filled out now and can't find a new one anyway?!).

My EDD is currently 6th August. Like a few of you, I unfortunately had a MMC in April, and have also had a CP and then a MC at 7wks (possible ectopic but resolved on its own and never confirmed) since then so been a bit of a tough year! Was planning to take a break from TTC over Christmas and then this happened on a month we weren't tracking etc..! Still feeling nervous after my 3 losses but did have an early scan just before Christmas which showed a strong heartbeat and a baby in the right place 🙏🏼💕. Have another one on 10th Jan and if all is good at that one, I will have passed the dates for all three losses so that will be a big milestone!

My main symptoms are appetite increase, heavy/tender boobs and a bit of fatigue but nothing like with my DS pregnancy.

Here's hoping for smooth sailing pregnancies for us all 💕

Rainbowpeanut02 · 29/12/2023 07:04

Hi everyone I am 7+3 and I had a MMC on the 8th November at 8 weeks but the baby stopped growing at 7+3 and didn’t get a chance to see the heartbeat. I have my first scan next Friday so I’ll be 8+2 and I am an absolute bag of nerves. Everything is freaking me out, one minute I feel my symptoms are strong next they are not. Just kinda in panic mode about everything.

Feeling rather anxious as next week we will see the heartbeat and just scared incase things don’t go to plan. I think my due date is 14th August but to be honest I haven’t even looked that far ahead. Just hoping to make it past the first trimester and take things day by day.

xx

CurlyWurly1991 · 29/12/2023 09:16

Hi everyone, glad to have found you all. I have an EDD of 11/8 so (all being well 🤞) I am 7 to 8 weeks atm. Having an early private scan today which Im v nervous about. Had terrible nausea from about 6w as well as covid (!!) but started taking b6 and the nausea reduced massively. Although it was a welcome improvement it also made me subconsciously worried that I no longer had that symptom!! Haha. I have been very fatigued, constipated, sore boobs etc. Like others just trying to make it through to the following days/weeks.

Lunafreja · 29/12/2023 10:53

8+2 due 7th August! First baby and first pregnancy so feeling all the emotions! Minimal nausea but suffered with low blood pressure and dizziness!

Sav2023 · 29/12/2023 11:16

@Lunafreja @CurlyWurly1991 (good luck for your scan today, let us know how you get on)@Rainbowpeanut02 @SnookyPook hello everyone and congratulations ❤️ sorry to hear that a lot of us have had previous loses but hopefully happy healthy pregnancy’s for all this time.
The nausea has really ramped up last night/this morning. Struggling with it and I feel like I’m coming down with a cold too 🙃🤢

ThelastRolo20 · 29/12/2023 11:17

@CurlyWurly1991 good luck with the scan today ❤️ mine isn't until next Wednesday at 7+1 - feels a very long time away!

Welshgal85 · 29/12/2023 13:20

Is anyone taking folic acid prescribed by their GP? I’ve just read online that if your
bmi is over 30 you need a higher dose. Think mine is 33/34 so freaking out a bit that I’ve just been taking the regular over the counter stuff!
