Hi all,
Hope you're all well,
I am 8 weeks 5 days today (as measured on an early scan) and due 3/8/24
Anyone around the same mark?
Ive found the due in august thread very busy and hard to keep up with and actually talk to people so was wondering if anyone wants to follow each other's journeys on here :)

Hi All, currently 9+5 and due 28th July based on dates but think this will be pushed out after I have my scan. Is anyone taking Proceive Supplements I am convinced it is giving me heartburn 😩

CurlyWurly1991 · 29/12/2023 16:21

Unfortunately it wasn’t good news at my scan, I’m going to duck out for now but wish you all the best with your pregnancies xxx

ThelastRolo20 · 29/12/2023 17:45

@Welshgal85 it's good you've been taking some but yes get your GP to prescribe some 😊

@CurlyWurly1991 I am so sorry. Life can be so bloody cruel. Look after yourself and best of luck in your TTC journey (if and when you decide to try again) 💔💔

Sav2023 · 29/12/2023 20:16

Hiya would love to join. I’m 8 weeks and 5 today too with due date of 3/8/2024! Super nervous but super excited at the same time. We had an early loss at 6wk in June and took me a while to process it. Had a scan last Friday which was amazing to see a baby and heartbeat! I also had my booking in appointment last Friday too. Just waiting to hear on date of 12 week-ish scan and once that’s happened I think I’ll Bea lot more relaxed. Sendings lots of love 💖

Hii! Im the same gestation as you! 8w 6 days today!
Ahh thats amazing! Did you go for a private scan?
I also went for an early scan
Still waiting for my booking appointment which is next week and then my 12 week scan too,
How has the first trimester been for you so far x

@ThelastRolo20 I’m worried it’s a bit late now as I’m almost 9 weeks. Midwife didn’t mention it at my booking appointment on the phone but just read about it on the Tommys website. Though checked on the NHS site and doesn’t mention it on there for higher BMI so a bit confused!

Welshgal85 · 29/12/2023 23:05

I’m okay thanks @boonpop98 not been the best day as been pretty nauseous al day again 😔 how are you doing?

Im meant to be meeting friends for lunch tomorrow so really hope I’m feeling up to it! Feel like I’ve just moped around the house feeling like crap lately 😂

CatLadyH · 30/12/2023 09:36

Sorry to hear this @CurlyWurly1991 sending you lots of love 💖

CatLadyH · 30/12/2023 09:43

Hey @boonpop98 yes had a private scan - it was amazing what you can see so early on! Hoping to hear about my booking in appt too, if I haven’t heard by the end of next week (two weeks since my booking appt) I’m going to contact my midwife, she did say it could be a bit delayed. I have a date for my 16 week midwife appointment already booked. All my appointments and info are on the Badger App which has been really handy. I think if the NHS scan is a bit delayed, I know people who haven’t had the them til 14 weeks we may go and have a private one done at 12 weeks so we can tell more people. My husband really wants to tell his Nan as our due date is her birthday!

Symptoms wise I’ve been ok, felt a bit queasy in the morning but felt a bit better once I have had something to eat or drink. I’ve also had quite sore and sensitive boobs! I’ve just felt really tired, I’m a very active person, running gym etc and I just haven’t felt up to it and felt a bit anxious about running to be honest. Other than that I’ve not been too bad I just hope I don’t get any sickness! How about you, how are you feeling?

Lunafreja · 01/01/2024 02:36

I had my booking appointment on Wednesday and was waiting to hear back for when I get my first scan. Looked today on BadgerNotes and they’ve booked me in for the scan on the 25th jan which would make me 12+1.
(curious if it’s common with the scans if you get any say on booking dates as seems to just be allocated)

just found out my local hospital is oversubscribed, I’ll be getting my scans done the next town over (approx an hour away). But from what I understand you don’t have many scans on the NHS website it looks like 12 weeks and 22 weeks?

Hopefully booking appointments come through this week or next for everyone!

SnookyPook · 01/01/2024 10:23

@Lunafreja yes as standard you only get one scan around 12wks and another around 20wks. People who mention more are either getting private ones or have additional monitoring due to previous issues in earlier pregnancies. 😊

That's exciting that you have your date now! Got my booking appointment on Friday so hoping the 12wk scan will come through soon after! I do have an additional scan on 10th though when I should be around 10wks (due to previous recurring losses) - will be a very nervy one for me as it is after the gestation that my April MMC had stopped developing.

Things start feeling a lot more real after the booking appointments and scans! 💕

SnookyPook · 01/01/2024 10:23

Oh, meant to say...

Happy New Year! 🥳🍾🥂

Snugglerugs · 01/01/2024 11:08

Hi everyone, I thought it would be helpful to join this thread please. I will be 8 weeks tomorrow and feeling anxious about this pregnancy after a MMC in July. Trying to take it day by day and actually looking forward to getting back to work tomorrow as I have found the spare time over the holidays not great for anxiety. Hope everyone is doing well.

ThelastRolo20 · 01/01/2024 16:11

@Snugglerugs welcome! I'm a week behind you - I know what you mean about distractions being good, and sorry to hear about your MMC in July.

Are you having any early scans? X

Snugglerugs · 01/01/2024 18:58

Thanks @ThelastRolo20 and I’m sorry to hear about your missed miscarriage too. I have had two scans so far - one at 6 weeks (due to a previous ectopic) and then one at 7.5 weeks as a private reassurance scan. Will probably have one more private scan ahead of the 12 week one as don’t think I can wait another four weeks.

Is your scan coming up this week? X

ThelastRolo20 · 01/01/2024 19:09

@Snugglerugs yes, I have one on Wednesday, and another at 9.5 weeks which is around the time my last baby stopped growing. Hoping that scan will ease the inevitable anxiety at the 12 week scan!

Snugglerugs · 03/01/2024 22:32

Thoughts with anyone having scans/ appointments this week. Have my first midwife appointment next week.

Mommyof4tobe · 03/01/2024 22:42

Hi everyone
Hope it’s ok for me to join too ❤️
I had the biggest shock of my life in November to find out we were expecting baby number 4 🫶🏼 We already have 3 beautiful girls aged 11,10 and 7 ! Now the shock has worn away, I’m feeling incredibly nauseous and wiped out ! But absolutely cannot wait to complete our family ! Really really sorry to hear about the terrible situations lots of you have been in before - these forums are so helpful in speaking to others etc… Please fire any questions you may have my way and work out how to engage your core and pelvic floor as soon as you can !

Rainbowpeanut02 · 08/02/2024 23:03

Hi everyone! How is everyone getting on? Hope the first trimester has been kinder to you all than it has to me! Kind of questioned my sanity at one point!

Anyone had the 12 week scan? Pretty nervous, have mine end of next week.

thinking of you all! Xx

Aw hi! Those nerves in the run up to the scan are so hard. Had mine last Friday and thankfully all is looking good! I'm 13+4 now which seems mad. Still awaiting my blood test results from the combined screening but I'm taking this as good news as I think they contact you within two working days if you're high risk. Also the NT was in the normal range so hopefully all ok.

Have you had any early scans at all or will next week be your first glimpse of little one? 💕

Rainbowpeanut02 · 09/02/2024 14:02

@SnookyPook awwww that’s amazing news!!! You’re almost out of the first trimester! I’m sure the results will be perfectly well and good.

I’m currently 11+3 but I’m a bit unsure if I’ve fallen behind or jumped infront as my cycles are quite long but my OB weren’t concerned. I’ve just had an early scan and the viability scan at 8 weeks all was looking good. Next scan is next Friday and I should be around 12+3. I’m really nervous! Just hoping everything is okay in there.

have you had many pregnancy symptoms? Xx

SnookyPook · 09/02/2024 15:21

@Rainbowpeanut02 aw that's good. Hopefully all is fine. All the waiting just seems to drag on and on doesn't it. I've had really minimal symptoms from the get-go tbh! Achey/tender boobs has been the main one. I was quite gassy early on and from 11wks my fatigue ramped up a bit. Definitely had an appetite increase too. That's pretty much been it! How about you? X

Rainbowpeanut02 · 09/02/2024 17:23

@SnookyPook I find one minute the waiting seems so long and the next I find it flies by. But some drags definitely do drag more than others.

Ohhh I envy you! I think weeks 6-8 were my worst, just the nausea and the fatigue were too much. I’m better now but find everything comes in waves. I haven’t been able to eat much, just trying to eat small regular meals but even that’s been a challenge. Hoping things start to ease off in the coming weeks.

Have you announced your pregnancy to everyone? Me and hubby are trying to keep it under wrap for as long as possible though it’s been pretty hard to hide. Xx
