I'm so sorry for what you've had to go through, Kate. I'm glad you've found support here, and of course you should stay. You've been a great support to many on here too, which is amazing. Much love to you, your dh and little Thomas x

Goodness, I haven't been on this thread for a few weeks now as was feeling pretty confident, but my confidence has taken a HUGE knock over the last few days. I am currently 12w+2d pregnant with my 3rd baby, had a missed miscarriage between my boys. Things were going swimmingly until I noticed a tiny bit of brown, mucousy spotting on Saturday. It stopped pretty quickly and as I have a rental doppler right now, I was able to listen to baby for some peace of mind. I was just starting to relax again after Saturday when I noticed I am spotting again, still brown thankfully. I just listened to baby and baby seems fine, but I am terrified. Has anyone else had this happen? Was baby ok and did you ever find out why you were spotting? Thankfully I have a scan tomorrow anyway, so I am hoping they can point me in the right direction. I just want my baby to be ok

DonDons · 23/04/2008 20:34

Heartmum - brown spotting for me at 11 weeks - unexplained, baby absolutely fine (although the little bugger won't come out - 41+2 today) - has happened to lots of us on here.

Try to relax and good luck tomorrow...

lackaDAISYcal · 23/04/2008 20:37

hi heartmum; you probably know this already, but brown blood tends to be old blood and the advice from HCPs is not to worry. I know this is easier said than done though.

Could it be from something like a cervical erosion? has this co-incided with you and DH getting jiggy? (sorry for the personal question ). or it could just be old implantation bleed that is just clearing your system. Try not to worry if you are hearing baby's HB.

I hope things go well tomorrow

Ellie, huge congratulations on the birth of Molly, lovely name too. I hope you are enjoying your very special time, take care.

smilesattheweekend · 24/04/2008 12:14

Heart2mum, I had spotting when I was pg with my son, it happened quite a bit up until about 16 weeks, I had lots of scans and they couldn't tell why it happened, had a lovely little boy at the end of it all though!. PG now and at 11+6 and have had some spotting but not letting it bother me as I have had some good scans (latest one yesterday!), just take it easy and don't worry too much, let us know how you get on with scan.

X

ronshar · 24/04/2008 12:27

Yipee Ellie Yipee. Welcome to the world little Molly. You will be very much loved.
PS it is rubbish about the nipple thing.

Well DonDon. I am tapping my foot impatiently. As a veteran two overdue babies I know exactly how frustrating this wait is for you. Hassle MW for a sweep or two. It is uncomfortable but worth it to avoid the induction!

All well here. I think I am beginning to do that hip wadlle thing already. Baby is obviously pushing out my pelvis already.

spugs · 24/04/2008 13:28

congratulations ellie, molly is a lovely name

hi to everyone else, i still pop on from time to time but ability to actually post is limited by very windy baby shes lovely though

splishsplosh · 24/04/2008 21:14

Saw on another thread that Dondons was on a labour ward earlier today, after a consultant accidentally broke her waters
so, good luck dondons

rainrain · 25/04/2008 15:05

A bit late but congrats Ellie! Well done thats brilliant x

And Don Dons - impatiently awaiting news......

Hi everyone else.

lackaDAISYcal · 25/04/2008 16:09

good luck dondons....., but accidentally broke her waters?????? wtf?

a testing couple of days for me. you'd think once the babies were out it would be easy, but DD was rushed into hospital yesterday with suspected meningitis (floppy, unresponsive, vomiting, breathing difficulties and with non blanching rash), but after intensive blood tests and a heap of IV antibiotics, she is out of danger and nealr back to her perky self. bloods came back clear, but we have to wait till tomorrow for the blood cultures to see if it is meningitis or something similar. consultant says the most likely explanation is very violent vomiting caused the rash and the resultant lack of fluids (from the tummy bug she's had for a couple of weeks and the vomiting) and perhaps breathing in some vomit made her body go into shock. She got home late last night and we have been in for more IV ABs today (she still has canula in her leg) and we go back again tomorrow for blood culture results and more ABs if needed.

I really thought she was on her way out yesterday, such a frightening experience . today she is crawling around, getting into mischief and trying to pull her canula out. Spots have faded to almost nothing and the ABs hav kiled off whatever was causing the tummy bug in the first place.

now I need to deal with my shock!

Oh Daisy - that sounds TERRIFYING!!!
Hope she gets better soon x

Neenzandhertwinbeans · 25/04/2008 16:47

Yey Ellie! Been thinking of you mate - will Facebook you.

Hi to everyone else, not been on this thread for a while, I get freaked out by bad news so when there is some I go away for a bit .

I am on mat leave now - 35 weeks PG so hopefully just two weeks to go! MW says even at 36 weeks the twins should be healthy and well but 37 would be even better.

Good vibes to all!!!

splishsplosh · 25/04/2008 19:59

Daisy, what a horrible scary time you've had, glad to hear your dd is doing well now

Neenz - it's getting close, are you excited now, it won't be long before you meet your babies
