Also another one with no time! This weekend was a write off, it’s just the house. DH has no urgency about it. His old desk from when he WFH is in our room with two computer screens that his work don’t even use now and a surround sound which has been there since last Christmas after I got him a sound bar… I’m like what you doing with it all??? And he’s like, well I don’t know, I don’t have time to think about it 🤯🤯🤯

Argh so annoying!!! DH has this idea that all the mess in the house is mine - some of it is but the entire room that will be the baby's room is FULL of his crap (much like your H's) and he just occasionally looks at it and says "mm I must give this room a tidy". Yes you must!!! Now.

FirstT1meMum · 20/11/2023 18:13

@Kalodin This makes me so happy! She looks like she's doing amazing, I'm so happy for you all 🥰

@WitcheryDivine definitely with you on the bump pain! It's really hard to describe, it's like a really stretched, achy feeling.

Having a really emotional few days...cried 4 times today!
The midwife has rang me today and wants me to go and have blood pressure checked tomorrow after the reading at MAU. Hoping that all is well and it's just a one off! 🤞

Gremlin84 · 20/11/2023 18:16

Another here with digestive discomfort to join the other physical aches and pains. Think it’s my own fault though - overindulged last night and didn’t go to bed until 1. Just can’t do that anymore!! Had to cancel all my meetings today as needed to run to bathroom every half hour (well, shuffle rather than run as hips still unhappy) and take regular naps and nibble on dry crackers. Think I was too cocky saying how easy pregnancy had been so far. Third trimester is knocking the stuffing out of me.

Matildahoney · 20/11/2023 18:28

Oh @Kalodin great to see Clara is doing well. You must be relieved!

On the raspberry leaf tea subject I've just gone for Linden's tablets, as I've tried the tea before and couldn't stand it.

Had a growth scan today, sonographer said baby is going to be a chunky monkey! She thinks about 9.5lb, thinks it's 6lb2 today at 33+4, tel call with the consultant tomo to see what they say! I do not want a baby that big 😬🤣

Mummyme87 · 20/11/2023 18:29

@Matildahoney im praying for a baby that size this time 🙏🏻😂

Matildahoney · 20/11/2023 18:33

@Mummyme87 I was hoping something in the region of about 7.5!

PartRadish · 20/11/2023 18:58

Oh wow @Matildahoney my eldest was 6lb3 born at 39+3! 😅

OP posts:
Luhou · 20/11/2023 19:12

@Matildahoney I was told my daughter was going to be a 10lb'er.

She was 6lb 7.5oz, so I wouldn't overthink it. I have a growth scan tomorrow and imagine I will be told the same again.

1992H · 20/11/2023 19:17

Another one with a growth scan tomorrow, DS2 was less than DS1 so hopping to continue the downward trend with DD 😂🤞

LozzieLoo · 20/11/2023 19:24

@Kalodin so pleased to hear she’s doing well and she’s beautiful 😍

When should you start drinking raspberry tea?

I have 4 weeks at work including this one, can’t believe it’s coming around so quick. Everything is feeling very real now!

Matildahoney · 20/11/2023 20:08

@PartRadish @Luhou @1992H
She did say she's hopefully overestimated as by this time of the pregnancy and the lack of room, plus baby is quite far into my pelvis it's really hard to measure accurately! I'm keeping everything crossed!

PartRadish · 20/11/2023 20:19

@matildahoney They are pretty notoriously innacurate, more useful to look at the trend rather than focus on the actual estimated weight I think. Funnily enough I actually had a growth scan with DC1 2 weeks before he was born because my bump was measuring small. They said he was estimated 7lb6oz. Two weeks later out he popped at 6lb3!

Mummyme87 · 20/11/2023 20:19

Size of baby at growth scans in mid to late 3rd trimester aren’t very accurate for bigger babies, they are better at detecting smaller babies on the whole. Mine are getting smaller but gestation at delivery is less 😂 10lb5 at 41+4 and 10lb at 39+6 🥴 a 9lb something would be dreamy 😬

@LozzieLoo 32weeks x1 cup a day, then increase to 2 cups after a few weeks.

Redpanda21 · 20/11/2023 20:46

@Kalodin she’s so beautiful. If I saw a pic like this I wouldn’t think she’s 30 weeks! Xx

Hummusanddipdip · 20/11/2023 21:28

All those with acid reflux and heartburn, I've just made an epic soothing discovery!
Mini milks!!! Just stolen one of ds's out of the freezer and it's x actually helping to sooth the burn and remove the taste.

Kirova · 20/11/2023 21:30

Ahh, @Kalodin, she is beautiful! And I love the name.

I am feeling a bit better but I've definitely got the same bug that everyone else has. Stomach cramps and lots of vomiting 😖 I thought I was better about two hours ago and tried drinking some weak peppermint tea and nibbling a cracker, but it made me sick again. So now I'm afraid to drink or eat anything. (Woe is me, etc.)

Kirova · 20/11/2023 21:31

Oh wow, that's genius! I didn't even realise they still made them.

Sadly I'm still at the stage of "don't think I'll want to eat ever again" 😆

Dannic2018 · 20/11/2023 22:08

@Kalodin aw she’s just so beautiful, I’m so happy she’s doing well and well done to you mama!

I’ve had more stress tonight, my 16 year old is still not home and still staying at his friends, his anger is awful to see and I’ve cried and can’t face food. Just wish this whole nightmare was over if I’m honest. My hubby is worried about how the stress is affecting the baby, but she’s very active and I’m trying to not let it affect me.
Teenage boys are definitely something else!

Luhou · 20/11/2023 22:10

Ooh thanks for mini milk tip.

Cramps still really unbarable this evening. Can't deal with 8 more weeks of this.

Luhou · 20/11/2023 22:10

Sorry you're feeling naff @Kirova

Mummyme87 · 20/11/2023 22:37

@Kirova stay off the food and sip tiny bits of water. I didn’t eat for about 50hours, even then was a few mouthfuls of beans until today. Really horrible. The cramps were horrific aswell. Hope it passes quickly

@Luhou are you taking regular paracetamol? Warm water bottle on your back or tummy?

Luhou · 20/11/2023 22:40

@Mummyme87 paracetomal not proving very effective. Hot water bottle is a good shout. Come to bed and a bit more comfortable on my side

Kirova · 20/11/2023 23:07

@Luhou I hope the hot water bottle works. Have you tried any other painkillers? Or maybe a warm bath or shower?

Thanks @Mummyme87 on the eating tips. I feel guilty for not eating, but I daresay she's taking what she needs regardless.. I can go hours feeling not too sick, but as soon as I even drink a few mouthfuls I feel really nauseous and it just comes straight back up. It's ages since I've had a bug like this and you forget how it feels like someone is going at your insides with a screwdriver. I am halfway to ringing up my in-laws (who live about 45 mins away depending on the time of day) and begging one of them to come and sort out my older two for a day or so, but it seems a bit needy and pathetic.

Sorry, this is a real self-pity party! I just wish I was not the only adult at home...

buckingmad · 21/11/2023 05:56

@Kirova ring them. The more you can rest, the quicker you’ll recover. Being ill is rubbish anyway let alone with others to run around after.
