Anyone here in a similar position? I'm feeling a bit of an odd one out on forums now where I don't feel pregnant pregnant and I don't feel infertile infertile, and thought I'd see if others were in the same, tentative situation. I don't feel like I'm ready to join the main May 2024 gang until I'm more confident this will continue.

I'm only 4 weeks 5 days :/

@countrypunk yeah, I don't want to share as much under my real name really! Also bloody hate having to use facebook. I only keep it active for occasional comms with some people I used to work with.

NHS site said something about no more than 2 portions of oily fish per week, I don't eat that anyway, 2 at most. We made a paella with salmon and prawns at the weekend and I really didn't fancy it at all last night, decided to make beans on toast instead lol.

Hey, are any of you on (or have been on) the evorel patches for estrogen? And if so, when were you told to stop them?

thislittlebird · 24/10/2023 10:07

If there's any March/June lurkers, do feel free to join. I'm never sure whether to add March/June (we have people from both months already) or make it spring summer since no other IVF pregnancy threads seem to be active.

countrypunk · 24/10/2023 10:10

@thislittlebird Yeah - I think algae oil is safer than eating lots of fish when preggo because no mercury and no vitamin A.

Beans on toast is a staple in our house! I'd usually love a paella but prawns really not doing it for me at the moment.

TheBirdintheCave · 24/10/2023 10:12

@thislittlebird I think calling it spring is a good idea. I'm a May :)

countrypunk · 24/10/2023 10:13

Agree with @TheBirdintheCave
I'm a March.

thislittlebird · 24/10/2023 10:18

Ok I've asked MN to change it to Spring, that works! It covers March-June and all of us and any new folks who want to join.

I'm May too! When are we all due? We should make a list at some stage. I'm currently 26 May but I know it won't be that, it'll be earlier unless NHS change it drastically at 12 weeks. I speak like I'm getting to 12 weeks, how bold Confused

OP posts:
thislittlebird · 24/10/2023 10:21

@countrypunk yeah I thought it was because of the mercury but probably vit A too. I think there's omega in Brazil nuts too? I was eating a couple of those daily after transfer, should get back to that. It's a shame because I don't mind salmon or prawns but I was not feeling it yesterday.

@thislittlebird I'm uncharacteristically confident in some aspects of this pregnancy and it keeps scaring me 😅

By "LMP" (the date I gave them based on when I O'd if I'd had a 28 day cycle) my due date is 16th of May but my last scan put me at 13th and I'm expecting to shave a few more days off at the 12 week scan based on this child's growth rate 😂

countrypunk · 24/10/2023 10:32

@thislittlebird I was eating those too - will get back on them!

22 March here 🐣

KG1244 · 24/10/2023 10:34

I think my message got missed in the spring ivf chat 😂 good idea btw! I’m due 11th May.

when did you guys stop or have been told to stop taking estrogen?

thislittlebird · 24/10/2023 10:36

@TheBirdintheCave I seem to swing wildly between feeling ok and feeling like a fraud! I really hope all is ok on Thursday, just wish my body would give me a sign I'm still pregnant. It's all very uneventful over here. Really, really want to get past 12 weeks to the stage where it starts (according to you guys beyond 12 weeks) speeding up! Not to wish my life away but I am not loving this 'am I still pregnant?' vibe I have going on right now.

@countrypunk easter baby!

OP posts:
thislittlebird · 24/10/2023 10:36

@KG1244 I saw it but am not on oestrogen so I'm no use!

OP posts:
TheBirdintheCave · 24/10/2023 10:37

@thislittlebird I will have everything crossed for you on Thursday. The odds are in our favour!

@KG1244 I'm only on progesterone and they will have to pry it from my cold dead hands 😂

KG1244 · 24/10/2023 10:42

@thislittlebird no worries, thanks! Also completely feel you with what you said. I can’t wait for movement and a proper bump so I have more of an actual pregnant vibe

@TheBirdintheCave haha 😂 I was told I could stop at 10 weeks as by that point the placenta is producing enough on its own but I have enough to keep going till 12 weeks so planning to stop after my scan. What’s your plan?

thislittlebird · 24/10/2023 10:52

@KG1244 yeah, I'm not even sick or nauseated or anything. Just my usual self but a bit puffed out (apparently the progesterone can exacerbate asthma?) so I'm not convinced anything is going on in there :/

I've been told to stay on meds until 12 weeks, but I'll probably wean myself off the progesterone after my scan. I have so much cyclogest, not really sure why the NHS gave me quite so much last year but I won't complain. If it all works out I'll try to donate it to someone. Or maybe I'll need it myself 😐

OP posts:
TheBirdintheCave · 24/10/2023 10:53

@KG1244 I have a prescription for another lot that will get me to 16 weeks and then I think I'll see how I feel. I'll chat to the midwife about it on Monday.

Misty84 · 24/10/2023 10:54

I also have packets and packets of cyclogest! I was told to take it until 16 weeks so I only have a few days left to go.

My due date is 12th April

IVFAlone · 24/10/2023 10:57

I was just thinking that this thread seems quiet! I agree @countrypunk, I like the anonymity of Mumsnet. Especially during such a vulnerable time!

How is everyone doing? @thislittlebird - I'm the same as you, symptoms are decreasing/gone and I'm 11 weeks on Thursday. Completely pooping myself for the 12 week scan which will happen when I'm 12+4.

PollywithaP · 24/10/2023 11:00

@KG1244 I am on 3x 2mg oral estrogen and 800mg progesterone pessaries at the moment and will start tapering off both at 11w. So 11w will be half dose progesterone and 2/3 estrogen for a week then in week 12 1/4 progesterone and 1/3 estrogen for that week, then week 13- nothing! My consultant did say I could stay on progesterone/re start it if I get any bleeding though. I’m getting a bit fed up of the meds really. It’s hard to keep the oral ones down with the sickness and the progesterone is giving me awful doom dreams!

thislittlebird · 24/10/2023 13:50

@IVFAlone when is your 12 week scan? Mine will be when I’m 12 week 6 lol, if I get there. It’s stressful, isn’t it? I can’t say I’m optimistic for my 9 week scan right now. Feel quite sad that my body doesn’t seem to do the pregnancy symptom stuff, or doesn’t at the moment.

OP posts:
IVFAlone · 24/10/2023 14:23

@thislittlebird Mine is at 12+4 which is on 06/11. So it’s a while away and I’m getting nervous! My partner is already talking about announcing and I’m like calm down what if we get bad news!

thislittlebird · 24/10/2023 14:32

@IVFAlone yeah I don’t want to announce for a little while if I can help it. I don’t know when. I’m quite nervous about Thursday, I see so many stories of mmc and can’t believe I’ll swerve those odds. If I get past that then my 12 week will be 18/11.

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all ok? Yuck I just had a horrible day in work. Went to support someone who didn’t bother to tell me they might have covid until right at the end of the visit. Amazing!
I left and cried in my car. I wear a mask when I go anywhere now anyway as I’m so scared of getting something and jeopardising the pregnancy but really did not appreciate that this morning!
then I had to see someone who had no chairs so had to stand for an hour and it was lunchtime and I was dizzy and it was horrid.
and I really needed a wee in between visits and had to search to find public toilets. So that was fun thinking I was gona wet myself.
not had a good day at all!
hope everyone else’s day has been better than mine!
it’s so hard working and being pregnant because noone else seems to care. Safe to say I’m in a bad mood now.

ASGIRC · 24/10/2023 18:37

Im due on the 3rd of April. But if I have my way, this baby will be coming out mid March, before Easter, so that i can recover enough for it😂

Havent had any chats about birth, though, I only know that I cant opt for an elective, as the NHS in my country doesnt offer them. All c sections have to be approved by the trust board, and they wont approve unless there is a medical reason.
