@suz2285 I’m the same. Could pass for having a mummy tummy instead of being pregnant.

suz2285 · 21/09/2023 14:28

@LuneDArgent exactly the same as me, totally fine if i make any other movements, just the walking aggravates it!

Aw, it depends what i'm wearing I think, some days it's clearly obvious and other days not so much! I mean we're almost 6 months pregnant so it should be obvious by now anyway, personally I was trying to keep it hidden as long as possible, but pretty much everyone knows now anyway! 😂

LuneDArgent · 21/09/2023 14:39

My plan was to hide it until the 20 weeks scan, but it was so obvious at 17-18 weeks (actually from 12 weeks it was very visible, but with some clothes I could still make illusion) that I decided to stop trying and tell people. I feel huge, but honestly I love it as I thought I would never reach that stage! 😊

Mummyme87 · 21/09/2023 15:29

My SPD is debilitating. I’m at work today and the constant walking is horrendous, feels like I’m constantly being kicked between my legs with a steel toed boot. Then I sit down and underneath is agony.

on the Wilfred front, the Unmumsy Mum has a Wilf as her 3rd boy.

my boys names including middle are nothing related to a family member. Never like anyone’s name enough to actually include it!

Mummyme87 · 21/09/2023 15:33

I also like names that aren’t too traditional but not totally out there. Like cool names. Also totally outing myself, I have a Sebastian Albie and Zachary Austin. I think I could persuade OH to use Arlo as a middle name to keep the A theme going.

had my flu jab today. I’m such a wuss 😂😂 1 vaccine down, 2 to go. Will space them all out. Maybe have Covid after we come back from Rhodes

suz2285 · 21/09/2023 15:54

@Mummyme87 yes, i knew about unmumsy mum's wilf! Its definitely a name making a comeback! I love Sebastian too - DH does not... story of my life! Sounds like another middle name A would be good!

We're thinking Andrew as a middle name, DH middle name is Andrew, and so is his dads, plus my brother is Andrew, so hopefully that'll please everyone and we just need a first name that goes! But if we can't find a first name that suits then we'll just choose something else, can't please everyone! I thought my mum would want quite a traditional name but she's just firing random names at me so she's seemingly not that fussed what he's called 😂

Luhou · 21/09/2023 16:58

Also keeping a theme for Middle Names. DD's middle name is Amelia, so Alexander fits nicely.

@Mummyme87 sorry you're struggling with spd. I am too, but fortunate to have a desk job. Feel for you on the go. I have 2 days midweek at home with DD and I'm honestly ready for a day sat at my desk tomorrow.

WitcheryDivine · 21/09/2023 17:09

I'm still getting these leg pains like in my thigh muscles and sort of under my hip bones, no idea what's causing them and I've not been doing anything different in terms of exercise/lack of!

WitcheryDivine · 21/09/2023 17:43

how's everyone feeling emotionally? I'm suddenly feeling weirdly pathetic and like ideally I'd just curl up on the sofa for the next three months with DH. But that might just be because it's autumn! Not in a work mood at all.

FirstT1meMum · 21/09/2023 18:01

Oh these names are making me so excited!! 😍

I'm another with no real pattern of movements yet, sometimes they're really obvious and powerful and somedays they're more muted and harder to feel (presuming she's either being lazy or moved on those days 🤣). I think the only real constants are it's usually my right side and she almost always moves at night!

@WitcheryDivine emotions are all over the place! Putting some of it down to being tired but finding I'm a lot less patient! And a lot more sensitive!

Salamander91 · 21/09/2023 18:04

My husband has spent today complaining he is tired because he had to get up to pee a few times last night. I can't say I've been particularly sympathetic 😂

My mood hasn't been too bad but I'm definitely more easily irritated.

Hummusanddipdip · 21/09/2023 18:14

I'm tired, literally at this point it's part of my personality not a state of being 🤣

But yes I am hyper emotional with it, I'm so ready to cry at any point for any reason!!! Ds had a tantrum because I made him walk to the car in the rain. I ended up crying after strapping him in while driving to the shop 🤦‍♀️

Luhou · 21/09/2023 18:18

My mood is more irritated by everything than upset. Feel like little things about the house and work annoy me. DH and I bickered a lot over the weekend mostly over cleaning the bathroom.

sashastuck · 21/09/2023 18:22

@WitcheryDivine and @Luhou I totally relate. I feel utterly CBA for work constantly and the smallest things piss me off. Go from clingy missing DP during the day then coming home and just longing for my own space 😂 work is really irritating me and I want to curl up in bed for the forseeable!!

LittleAlien24 · 21/09/2023 18:30

@RG9895 gorgeous scan picture
@Kalodin good it's just infection, hope it clears soon

We have a middle name- Luke. It's for my OH love for star wars 😂
We have 1 first name that girls love and OH kids like it but he's not sure (keeping it secret otherwise)
Other name options are Aaron Luke, Brayden Luke, Derrick Luke. Finding it a nightmare to find a boys name we like.

On movements I've nothing regular and im 23+5.
Getting pain on my right side of back going down to my leg when walking more than 15 minutes but im more than sure it's because of my worn discs 😔
Mood wise i get annoyed and irritated quicker than normal. Burst into tears the other day while facetiming OH because he didn't want to do something i asked him to do for the baby.

Luhou · 21/09/2023 18:30

@sashastuck couldn't of put it better. I also equally cba with work and feels like suddenly now I'm taking a year off everybody is realising how much I actually do and frantically hiring for my cover - which of course I've been tasked with.

Bims2019 · 21/09/2023 19:06

@WitcheryDivine I totally relate to this, think it might be a combo of autumn coming and wanting to get cosy and nest for baby. I'm struggling with motivation at work too. Have a busy couple of weeks coming up but from mid-October have decided that I'm going to try and be at home on the sofa as much as possible 😂

Onedayatatime24 · 21/09/2023 19:13

@sashastuck omg I'm the exact same, driving me and DH mad! Keep telling him to go out at the weekends so I can sit and do nothing but when he's out I get really mad that I can't go out and he's off living his life and I'm stuck inside not able to do anything, I feel insane! I know it's irrational too at the time but can't stop myself from feeling it 😂

@WitcheryDivine also relate to wanting curl up in the sofa, I seem to be getting more tired in this second trimester energy burst 🥲

suz2285 · 21/09/2023 19:38

@Luhou I'm the opposite, I feel sore and ouch after a day at my desk, much happier at home where I can be comfy and move about more! But I don't have any other kids to look after 😂

@WitcheryDivine I'm struggling with motivation and also quite emotional the last week or so, along with easily irritated!

@Salamander91 yeah I have zero sympathy for DH when he 'didn't sleep well' since im up multiple times every night and frequently for hours! And it's not about to get any easier is it!

@Onedayatatime24 I've been waiting for this miraculous burst of energy but yeah it never comes 😂 every day I'm like I need to do x y and z but then I don't do them!

Luhou · 21/09/2023 19:44

@suz2285 yeah, it's a tough one by tomorrow afternoon I'll be desperate to get home and get comfy on the sofa. Yeah, DD keeps wanting me to do puzzles on the floor plus must of picked up 10,000 toys today. I took for granted my ability to rest first time round! Enjoy it!

Luhou · 21/09/2023 19:45

The bath is my happy place.

Booklover88 · 21/09/2023 22:06

Hi all. Currently 25+3 and just been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes 😥

feeling really upset and worried. Is anyone else in the same boat/has had it in previous pregnancies? It’s looking more likely I’ll have a December baby now too. Lots to take in and my head is all over the place!

Mummyme87 · 22/09/2023 06:48

@Booklover88 I have never had an official GDM diagnosis as GTTs always been normal (so far, have a repeat in a month) but in both pregnancies my scans have shown I have late onset.
however it’s very common, and loads of support online. They should refer you to a dietician for support with that. Check out NICE guidelines aswell for how it should be managed as some trusts jump in and want to induce mega early, whereas if its diet controlled delivery should be aimed for 40-41weeks. It doesn’t rule out birth centre and water births if that’s something you had been potentially interested in aswell.

ive ordered a support belt which should arrive today, hoping it helps relieve my SPD a bit.

buckingmad · 22/09/2023 08:15

Any cravings yet? Mine are Haribo star mix. I’m eating a pack a day 👀 I was the same with DD except it was skittles.

Salamander91 · 22/09/2023 08:23

My cravings change all the time but they're mostly savoury right now which is a change from the start of pregnancy when it was fruit/juice. Yesterday it was bacon butties 😋
