How long after the test did you take the picture x

CAGH03 · 16/09/2023 13:48

How long after doing the test did you take the picture? Usually don't pay attention to the results after 3-5 minutes x

Looks positive to me! Can you take a red dye one too? Not used these ones but many say evap lines can show if you look outside if the recommended time frame

PickledScrump · 16/09/2023 18:56

Looks like one of the notorious clear blue evap lines. Don’t waste your money on them. Get a decent pink dye test.

I got my first vvvfl on a clearblue and have only used them since. OP- If it has colour it's positive if it's grey it's an indent. Test again tomorrow and don't look at the result any later than 3-5 minutes later. This was mine at 3weeks 4dayz, the day I found out and now it looks like this at almost 7 weeks x

@CAGH03 thats great that they were accurate for you, but theres loads of posts from people who have had these faint lines on a clearblue and they’ve actually been negative, even when they’ve been blue. The conception board is full of them unfortunately. They’re not as reliable as they once were and if people want accuracy they should go for pink dyes

No I know, I was just saying sometime they're right too. I've had indents on them before, but they don't usually have colour. And where I live, you can't really find pink dye tests so they're more difficult to get hold of x

Roseyaz123 · 17/09/2023 10:35

It was about 5/10 minutes later I looked at it in person the line looks thicker, ive trued searching for a red test near me but they’ve haven’t had any in store so going to try again today x

You follow the instructions, it clearly says how many minutes to check after and to disregard results after x minute usually?

Roseyaz123 · 17/09/2023 12:28

Yes I read the instructions, but as you can understand when you go to disregard it and see a faint thick line it makes you question x

Unfortunately with clearblue the colour in the lines can mean nothing. The clearblue evaps are often very blue, but the line is normally also very thin.
A faint blue thick line can be positive. A very thin dark blue one that came up after the time limit I would definitely discount. I have had many thin dark blue lines myself and definitely was not pregnant.

Plumful · 17/09/2023 14:57

@Roseyaz123 no, that’s why you disregard it after the time frame.

Joanne2016 · 17/09/2023 16:25

advice please!!

so I’ve done 4 tests 2 different packs all with lines exactly like this within the time frame! But tried a digital this morning says not pregnant!

AF is due Thursday? Do I trust the digital?

Faulty test.

Joanne2016 · 17/09/2023 16:28

So trust the digital?

Digital tests aren't as sensitive.

You need a cross in the first window.

Just do a pink test.

Joanne2016 · 17/09/2023 16:40

This is a clear blue early test they only need a line in the first window?

Will just try a pink dye test thank you

Oh god I'm an idiot!

Joanne2016 · 17/09/2023 16:52

Lol I’ve been so confused was so sure it was positive the digital said not. So not sure what to think now x

HappyPurrrsday · 17/09/2023 16:56

I imagine the early tests are more sensitive than the digital. They probably detect lower levels of the hormone in your urine. So I’d be tentatively excited it’s positive but take a digital on Thursday when AF due to confirm. @Joanne2016

Joanne2016 · 17/09/2023 17:10

Thank you x

CAGH03 · 19/09/2023 15:30

I got a vfl 6 days before and was
Due, did a digital 2 days later and said pregnant so wait a couple days and try a digital? x

Joanne2016 · 19/09/2023 16:05

Got this today so I’m still none the wiser
