We had unprotected sex

Hi I’m new here :) Can someone help me? I have read so many different stories online.. idk what to believe anymore. I tried to calculate dates but many website say many different things. So I’m sharing mine so I could maybe get some personal experience stories :)

Me (23) and my partner (25) would like to have kids. My partner has a well paying job and we’re gonna try to buy a home with enough space for a kiddo, hopefully somewhere in 2024. Our life is pretty good and I’m really grateful for that <3

So here’s the thing.. we were away for a couple of days and we were feeling romantic. We hadn’t had quality time for weeks due to finishing school & working a lot. We had unprotected sex on July 31st and also on August 1st. We both know the consequence of this of course. We’re both like ‘if it happens it happens’.

He did not ejaculate inside of me, that happened like a couple of minutes later. So, if I am right, the only way I could be pregnant is because of pre-cum containing sperm from the day before.. how high would the chance be that I’m pregnant? Did someone experience the same kind of thing? Have I been informed the right way?

My period started July 21th. I have had a very regular cycle of exactly 26 days for the past 4 months.

Sorry for the long paragraph. I know this is the internet and people don’t know me irl so I just wanted to include some info of things that people could ask me. I’m not scared at all, just very nervous and kinda exited to know if I am actually pregnant or not. I will, of course, wait for my period to come and do a test if it doesn’t ;) So I’ll wait for replies and will definitely update!

I think a certain poster would do well to stop getting into mad spats on threads every day and maybe go get a job. Yikes.

DelphiniumBlue · 03/08/2023 11:52

Don't get pregnant accidentally. Decide to go for it or don't. The fact that he pulled out is possibly indicative of the fact that he's not 100% committed to the idea of a baby at this point.
If you do decide to try for a baby, you need to be practical. Will you get married first, which would give you as the mother a bit more security?
How will you cover maternity leave? Will he pay your share of expenses while you are not earning? What will your expenses be? Could he actually cover rent and bills and extras on his salary? What about childcare?

DelphiniumBlue · 03/08/2023 11:54

Sorry, pressed send too soon.
If you really are ready to have a baby, you will already have discussed these things and thought them through.
What if you split up? How would childcare and finances look then?
Think it all through, then make a plan.

This is really rude. I hate spelling and grammar mistakes but I know someone who's Dutch and she uses this for a date

(typing whilst on break from work )...The irony

Takeyournegativevibesawayfromme · 03/08/2023 16:58

Disgusting behavior from people on here including those who are arguing and insulting one another. Don't blame the OP for not responding anymore.

Thehonestybox · 03/08/2023 17:09

It's very very unlikely you'll be pregnant. Chances of pregnancy using withdrawal method are 20% after a YEAR of having regular pull out sex.

AutumnalPumpkin · 03/08/2023 17:36

Almost everybody I've seen reply here needs to get an absolute grip.
I am 22, my partner is 21. We had our daughter when I was just turned 18. It wasn't the greatest setup when she was first born, but a few years on and we now have our own home. We are in a secure and stable relationship, my partner has a brilliant job, and we surpassed everybody's expectations from when I first became pregnant. We will be trying for our second in the coming years.
23 is most definitely not too young, and whilst OP may sound "childish" in some of their responses, you have to understand that when faced with intense and relentless judgement from strangers, many will feel the need to explain and justify themselves and their partners actions.
You do you OP. Everything happens for a reason. If you think you and your partner are doing fine in life and that you're ready for a child, chances are you will be. This is a toxic place ! X

The OP is gone so doubt she will read this and yes I do agree in a way that people born 1999 and over are very immature haven't come across any that are not, but that is irrelevant to this thread tbh

AutumnalPumpkin · 03/08/2023 18:32

@Takeyournegativevibesawayfromme
To be honest I wouldn't consider myself immature and I am 22. I had to grow up pretty fast and mother my own mother. I moved out at 17 and away from where I grew up at 19. That mixed with having a child early I think has made me into more of a mature person than others my age. But of course everybody is entitled to their opinion.
I do find that the generation older than mine tends to look down on people my age though.

Would you like me to teach you about irony?

Maybe start with spelling and punctuation first. 😂

Seriously grow up not everyone is going to spell or punctuate things correctly whilst texting or typing. Further more this thread is over

It would have been over if you hadn't replied.

People are astonishingly judgemental. Who are you to say she has to have a career and a house before she has a baby. She's a woman; she's made for having babies. @FutureMommy my best friend and Son's Godmother was conceived without penetration so while it is unlikely it's definitely possible. Don't be bullied into waiting until your 30s. Have lots of babies. Life happily ever after!

oh dear god what have i just read.

Stressedoutforever · 05/08/2023 13:43

Yes it's possible, DS2 was a result of that situation!

I had my first at 24 and second at 25- but I would highly recommend marriage and a house first. Also if you're becoming a parent you need to toughen up a bit, EVERYONE will have an opinion as you've just found out, and they will share it whether you want it or not.

Good luck whatever happens! X

I know. Try telling that to the women with infertility problems. 😂🙄
