Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

How can something so small cause you to feel so crap 😫

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

I am with you.. never have I consumed so much orange Juice.. I do try and put water in it so it’s not has bad haha.. has to be ice cold also.

Is anyone not finding out the sex of the baby?

im torn between finding out to be prepared or leaving it a surprise. I’m a FTM so I am thinking labour may be a surprise all of its own 😳 so just find out? Husband wants to know but I’m torn..

I used to not want to find out but I changed my mind, I feel like the little baby is going to be a surprise either way, what they look like, their temperment etc.. I think it will be easier to name baby and also I've been very worried this pregnancy so I think it will help me feel a bit more connected and as though I'm really getting a little baby out of all this. 😊

@AllAboardTootToot it really is personal preference. Some friends waited until birth and were happy they did. I found out super early with both and didn't regret it. Though I can't even watch a full film without googling the ending so I had no chance waiting 9 months 😂

DP did want to find out but I have convinced him haha

completely understand why people do find out but I want DP to tell me at the birth and feel like it will be such a special moment (I hope!)

It will definitely be harder with prepping but as this is our first I do want mostly neutral items to hopefully use again anyway for another baby x

Thinking of you @LalalaBubs and @anony1111 and all my other Thursday scan buddies. I also didn't sleep much and just pleased it's a morning appointment.

As another (slightly funny, I admit) source of anxiety, I started taking lactulose yesterday and it's given me awful wind problems. Someone pressing down on my stomach is going to be interesting...!

That’s a really good point about second baby!

This is our first too but we have waited until we are older to have kids, I’m 38 and hubby 48 so think we might be one and done. But never say never!

I had a positive scan last week after a more worrying one, everything is now going well and I’m around 10 weeks!

In terms of age gaps, my eldest two will be 11 and 10 when this baby is born. However, I plan to have a forth quickly so will end up with two batches of children, haha.

We don’t plan on finding out the gender. I knew for my eldest two (which I didn’t regret at all) so I’m looking forward to the experience of finding out at birth.

We are finding out gender but not telling anyone else, so we'll pretend we don't know. I wanted a surprise but after a MC with my first I just want to know as much as possible this time

Tbh on the baby clothes, we did get a lot of mint green, ecru and blue for our boy (the baby Mori packs as gifts) but I've no issue using that for a girl. They're in them for such a small amount of time.

Haha I love the lactulose and the possible wind 🤣 they'll have seen it all before don't worry

@amyg1985 thank you! 🤣 I'm sure it's happened plenty of times, I bet they wouldn't bag an eyelid. I would be on edge though 😂

All went well with my scan, although I'm a couple of weeks back than I thought. Baby is measuring 10+1 rather than 12+1 but all looked good and we could see the tiny heart beat! Feel so much better after seeing the little tiny kidney bean 🤣

Congrats @anony1111 - so nice to hear it went well.

All well at our scan too (and fortunately no embarrassing wind moments). Baby was so active and so the sonographer had trouble doing the measurements etc and getting a good photo but really pleased with this one.

Ahhh I’ve just found you guys again!! I suddenly thought it was strange I hadn’t gad any notifications! 🤣

im 11 weeks today and gave finally come off half of my IVF meds 🥳 (no more injections!!! 🥳🥳) my dating scan is on Monday and this last couple of weeks have gone sooooo slowly!!
the sickness is still raging!! But I’ve gad a couple of hours here and there where it’s lessened so im hopeful it’ll get better soon!!

LOVING all the gorgeous scans!! ❤️❤️❤️
can’t wait to add mine!!

i haven’t had any instructions about drinking water before though 🤔🤔
