Just got my bfp yesterday and EDD is early April 2024. Anyone else similar and feel like keeping each other company?

DD April 8th here!

Had a chemical at the start of June so I’m incredibly nervous and just praying that this is our little miracle 🌈

Got my BFP at 9 DPO on Wednesday morning, just two days ago. Had a tiiiiiny feeling beforehand because I’m honestly just SO thirsty (I literally never feel thirst/drink water haha), my lips are dry and my boobs are getting heavier. I’m scared to get excited but I have a good feeling this time!

PositiveVibes2024 · 28/07/2023 10:45

I think that's quite a healthy way to look at things - I'm going to steal that idea "positive pregnancy test" until I get bloods / see that little embryo in the right place. ❤

SeasideSunshineSussex · 28/07/2023 10:55

Hey everyone!!

Got my first BFP yesterday, which was a complete shock as was testing early (8DPO) and fully expecting to feel silly for even taking a test, but got a faint line on some cheap strip tests, a line on a FR and finally a clearblue Digital to be sure. Think we are due 11th April!

Feeling pretty nervous and really excited - it's our first pregnancy and will be our first baby, so trying to hold it lightly as know the route ahead isn't always smooth. Feeling pretty nauseous and about to head out on a week away camping with our church youth loool, an airbed in a tent in the rain isn't filling me with joy right now. Any tips?!

HWGina · 28/07/2023 13:41

I'm going to visit a friend this afternoon who's 8 months pregnant, to drop off her gift cos I won't be able to make it to her baby shower. My partner doesn't want us to tell anyone yet, but it's going to be so hard not to! I'm the sort to just talk about whatever's on my mind, and at the moment this is the only thing in there! Hopefully she'll just want to talk about her own pregnancy and I can just listen.

Buttons659 · 28/07/2023 14:31

Urgh….when food is the only thing that settles your nausea, but you’ve already gained 4.5lbs. Help!

Butterfliesandroses · 28/07/2023 16:11

@BeingATwatItsABingThing I have a due date of 11 April 2024, so really close to yours! I got a faint positive at what I think was 7dpo, which seems crazy early!

@LoobyLoo92 we have lost 3 so I am feeling it, too! Pregnancy after loss isn't the same as before loss, is it? Overall though I am trying to be positive, my consultant was adamant that being positive helps!

@fleur89 could I ask how you managed to get the bloods etc? I am under a recurrent miscarriage consultant after 3 losses (one early, one MMC and one at 17 weeks) and have an early scan booked at the end of August for that but no offers of bloods so far.

Butterfliesandroses · 28/07/2023 16:58

Also @HWGina I totally get this, I am the exact same! It is so hard not to say anything! We have vowed to keep this one a secret until 20 weeks (if we get there)... 🤞. Listening to others talk about their pregnancies is always interesting though, so hopefully you will be okay!

fleur89 · 28/07/2023 17:17

@Butterfliesandroses I have insurance so am seen privately by a doctor at The Portland Hospital. After my MMC I had retained products which essentially meant I tested positive for 6 months (January - June) even through the baby stopped developing at 5.5 weeks back in March. One trip to an acupuncturist last month and the rest was expelled, I finally tested negative, and then I caught my first cycle and fell pregnant again. I had to keep getting repeat bloods as I was at risk of infection and my follow up so happened to be this week... so I went along for the blood tests and was told to repeat tomorrow to see if hcg doubles.

All that NHS offered me was an early scan at 7 weeks. I plan to do dual track with private for various reasons / past experience.

Can I join? I got a BFP on 3 cheapies yesterday and then a 1-2 weeks on a CB digital this morning. Due around the 10th April by my apps calculations.

This will be baby 3 for us 😬 and was not planned! DD1 will be 10 and DD2 will be 3.5 when this one appears. DH and I had just made a firm decision to stick at 2 but clearly higher beings had other plans. 😂

Our third was a surprise too, and now this fourth baby has happened despite being careful 🙈 Our eldest two are 13 and 8, and our youngest is 13 months. I did say that I would like another one in the future so our littlest has a sibling closer in age, but this was certainly unplanned 🙊 I've been having backache and cramps for past few days and eating like there's no tomorrow!

Butterfliesandroses · 28/07/2023 19:25

@fleur89 thank you for sharing your experience. That sounds like a tough time! I also experienced retained products January - March this year, although it was a very large amount so it was removed surgically. I wish we had private insurance, although as my first miscarriage was 10 years ago I'm not sure they would have covered me for it. It's great to hear that you're having good care. I will take the tip about the acupuncturist for the future! That sounds brilliant! Fingers crossed your HCG doubles 🤞

DH and I had been umming and ahhhing for ages about a third but ultimately decided not to.

It really hasn’t sunk in and I’m not sure how I feel about it yet to be honest.

Hi ladies! Happy to join you all on here…. Got my BFP on Wednesday - EDD 7th April!

Congratulations x

ASGIRC · 29/07/2023 08:25

Hi everyone! I am 10dp5dt (or 14dpo, if I hadnt had an embryo transfer), and got my BFP on Monday.
It has been evolving nicely, and got a beta of 335 yesterday, which is within the expected range, considering was only 4+1

First try for me, but Ive read so much about losses, Im being cautiously optimistic, but not full on celebrating just yet.

I have exactly zero symptom. Nothing. Not a single thing. Long may it continue!

ASGIRC · 29/07/2023 08:25

Oh, EDD 5th of April!

Greenvelvetdress · 29/07/2023 09:03

Hi guys, got my BFP last week and due date is 4th April. Had 3 previous miscarriages and now a diagnosis of antiphospholipid syndrome so waiting for a scan to confirm location so I can start blood thinners 🤞🏼

fleur89 · 29/07/2023 13:57

@Butterfliesandroses thank you 💗 Sorry to hear about your history too, makes falling pregnant feel bittersweet doesn't it?

My retained products was missed on 3 NHS scans, they gave conflicting opinions - new pregnancy and come back next week, it's a chemical, and you haven't even ovulated so it'll just take time to reset were a few of the things thrown out there. I realised my company insurance covers miscarriages and miscarriage follow up so I sought private advice. Immediately they saw a small adhesion in my uterus and identified retained products. It was very small but throwing off hcg that was rising by 3% per day - a sign of growth and something rare called quiescent gestational trophoblastic disease. I had to be continuously monitored in case hcg kicked off and evolved into something invasive. Luckily I tried acupuncture and the day after I bled and started testing negative. I was booked in for surgery but in the end I didn't need this.

Just got back from the clinic where they tested hcg and progesterone. Fingers crossed for good news on Monday 🙏

Hey girls!

it’s been a while since I’ve been on one of these forums! I got a faint positive on mommed and boots early detection at 10DPO and have been tracking line progression so this mornings was quite dark and I was so chuffed! Told my husband this morning and we are over the moon! Our son will be 4 in November and due date is around 7th April 2024.

excited to be on this journey with you all!

Anyone due April 2024?
MotheringDaughters · 29/07/2023 20:51

@Rodgers2017 congratulations 💖

LouH93 · 29/07/2023 21:11

@Rodgers2017 congrats!! My estimated due date is also 7th April!

july89 · 30/07/2023 07:11

Morning all. Would love to join. I'm due 8th April with number two I think. Had a pretty brutal miscarriage at 12 weeks 5 months ago and now worrying my lines aren't getting any darker! Feel like I'm gonna be a right worrier until I know all is okay! X

Rodgers2017 · 30/07/2023 10:05

Yay! Due date twins! I don’t think it has sunk in yet 🤣

HWGina · 30/07/2023 11:10

So much for keeping it secret. We had a games night with 3 of my partner's friends last night, and it didn't take them long to notice I wasn't drinking. 2 of the guys' girlfriends are also pregnant, so I guess it was on their radar!
It was quite cute though, watching a room full of blokes all enthusiastically talking about babies.

Ginny26 · 30/07/2023 11:11

Is anyone else ridiculously bloated making them look much further? I'm 5 weeks and look about 16 😅😅
Be interesting to try and hide it at work
