Hi sorry I’ve never posted here before but just looking some advice, all I’ve done is cry and stress the past few weeks!

basically I’ve had around 5 scans and all the dates have giving me the 23/24 of December for due date. I had my first positive on the 23rd of April I done a clear blue it said 2-3, so I had slept with my ex on the 2nd of March and took plan b on the 6th and I’m sure my period was due around then, it came late on the 15th until the 21st of March just quite late ( I assumed this was a period) I started seeing someone new and we slept together 30th & 31st of March, and continued since then through to finding out. I went for my first scan on the 2nd of may and I was 6 weeks and 2 days, so was adding to 18/03/23 had alot of scans in between and my 12 week dating scan only took me back one day 17/03/23 I had the bleed on the 15/03/23 assumed it was my period but now I’m just really worrying because my period was late in March, I think as time goes on the worse my anxiety gets I think at the start I automatically assumed it was the new guy but now my minds doing overtime. What do you guys think? Please no judgement I’m really really struggling 🙏❤️Xx

Hi, I’m due 30 December and 100% conceived 9 April. So taking 6 days off (because you’re 6 days ahead of me) you very very likely conceived around 31 March so it’s the new guy.

December23 · 28/07/2023 20:54

@Mushroo aw thank you so much my head has been such a mess I just want to enjoy this pregnancy! I think if my period wasn’t delayed in March I wouldn’t be so worried, has your scans matched to your conception date?

RG84 · 28/07/2023 21:06

@December23 i don't know if this helps but I am due on the 18th Dec as per my 12 week scan. By last period, my due date was 22nd Dec. I 100% conceived on either the 29th Mar or 31st March. I hope that helps and good luck.

@December23 yes all matched up perfectly :) hope that puts your mind at rest a bit!

Nclktnntt · 28/07/2023 21:12

@December23 we conceived 100% on April 8th and our due date is 27th Dec. Honestly I think they're wrong and baby is bigger than age (freaking me out) but 100% that was our conceived date. So I would also think it was new guy.

Nclktnntt · 28/07/2023 21:42

Its only 4 days off though tbf.

December23 · 28/07/2023 22:30

@RG84 Aw okay so not far off then 🙈 I’m just worrying the ultrasound was really off because all the dates add to the new guy I’m seeing I thought it was all too accurate, I can’t help but worry my anxiety is awful I just want to enjoy my pregnancy. Congratulations on your pregnancy ❤️

December23 · 28/07/2023 22:31

@Mushroo aw thanks so much! I’m always overthinking too much 🙈 congratulations on your pregnancy ❤️

December23 · 28/07/2023 22:36

@Nclktnntt aw okay thank you, yeah maybe baby is just measuring a few days ahead but it’s not far off I was just really worrying that my scans were all so accurate and could have been like 4 weeks out 🙈 congratulations on your pregnancy ❤️

Cowlan · 28/07/2023 22:44

@December23 I don't know if this helps at all but my last period was on the 22nd March giving me a due date of 27/12. From my 12 week scan they gave me a due date of 25/12.

December23 · 28/07/2023 23:10

@Cowlan aw okay thank you. I had what I assumed a period on the 15/03/23 and my due date from that was the 20th and my due date is the 23rd so maybe it was a period and I’m just worrying to much! Congratulations on your pregnancy 🥰❤️

RG84 · 29/07/2023 15:27

Happy Saturday! Hope you ladies are doing well.
I wanted to ask, not sure if this has been mentioned before so apologise if this has. I'm sure it has! The mat b1 form will state your due date and your maternity leave/pay will start as of your due date right? What if you give birth before? Does the maternity leave/pay still commence from your initial due day or the baby birth if before due date? I'm having one of those blank moments 😵‍💫

Oldermum84 · 29/07/2023 16:27

@RG84 your maternity pay starts whenever you want it to, earliest 11 weeks before your due date. The latest it can start is the day the baby is born. If it's born before the date you put you wanted the maternity pay to start it will change to that date.

Pitstop1986 · 29/07/2023 16:59

@December23 when they say that you are 6 weeks, you actually did the deed to make the baby 2 weeks after this (so when you had the scan and was told 6 weeks, you conceived baby 4 weeks before the scan)

It's confusing, but they date a pregnancy from approx date of your last period rather than the date the egg was fertilised, so technically, you are "pregnant" 2 weeks before ovulation.

I hope that this makes sense! I think it's your new boyfriends baby, not the ex

RG84 · 29/07/2023 17:02

@Oldermum84 thank you for clarifying. Trying to get all my ducks in a row with the leave etc.

In addition to 101 things happening as well 🤯

bookbathnap · 29/07/2023 17:32

I’ve noticed my belly is covered in tiny little hairs that weren’t there a few weeks ago 😂 anyone else? Hope everyone is feeling well. I love reading your updates!

Why did you make me look 😂😂 I've always had a little row of hair leading up to by belly button but having just looked, they're thicker, more of them and a few around my belly button and a row from my belly button to my breast bone 🤯 - someone tell me I'm not going to be a bear by the time baby arrives, I'm not a hairy person (can go a week without needing to shave my legs and even then you can't really see them, if I waxed my eyebrows I'd have none, and my arm hairs are so fine they're see through!) so this is all very odd for me - I've just sat here giggling 🤭 but also don't want a hair tummy 😂

Charlielechat · 29/07/2023 18:45

@bookbathnap yes, I'm with you on the hairy belly front! One of the many pregnancy surprises 😂
Does anyone else's bump still not look like a bump? Mine is like a B shape that just makes me look like I have a beer belly. It says on Dr Google that it's more common in people who carry more weight, but I was a normal weight, size 8 beforehand! Very jealous of lovely rounded bumps!

RG84 · 29/07/2023 19:29

I feel my bump is lower and bigger than first pregnancy but apparently that's normal..not sure. I have lots of stretch marks..uurrggh..
Tiny unnoticeable hair but had that prior to pregnancy. Bump is really starting to show now.

December23 · 29/07/2023 19:47

@Pitstop1986 thanks so much yeah it’s so confusing, think that’s where the worry has come from! And also the delay in my period in March. But I guess all the scans match to my new boyfriend I just need to try stop worrying so much I guess. Thanks so much for replying ❤️Xx

SMG1992 · 30/07/2023 08:01

@bookbathnap yep my tummy has become hairy
Along with my hands and ankles already starting to swell and more spots than I’ve had since I was a teenager . I’ve given up on “glowing” this pregnancy 😂

smldnlove · 30/07/2023 09:12

@bookbathnap Very hairy! I was hairy before but now my stomach is very wolf like and I’m debating waxing it off 😂 I also paid a lot for laser hair removal down there last year and it’s all grown back with a vengeance now 😂😂

Pitstop1986 · 30/07/2023 11:56

No hairy tummy, but I have noticed a few hairs growing around my nipples! Looks like I'm getting hairy boobs instead!

Also had changes in a couple of moles which I have been told is nothing to worry about and getting a bit of dermatitis on my hands. Apparently I've become sensitive to the hand soap at work.

The joys of pregnancy! At least the hairdresser told me my hair was in amazing condition last time that I went in for a trim. I've got one good thing going for me at least!

To help with the dermatitis make sure your hands are fully dried - have you ever seen a hairdresser dry their hands? Dermatitis ends our career and the main key is to not leave your hands damp. The next is moisturising, neutragena blue or red ones are really nice and arnt greasy feeling on your hands 😊

FirstMondayInMay · 30/07/2023 16:21

@Pitstop1986 glad to see it’s not just me with the hairy boobs and moles changing🤣! I had one go really rough and fall off, hopefully it doesn’t come back🤞🏼
