@thebloatisreal did you try 'standard' tests or early tests? Boots own brand or First Response are good as they're more sensitive. I'd test using FMU as the hormone concentration is stronger...
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

If it doesn't work out this cycle, it might be worth seeing your GP for some metformin to regulate your hormones/ovulation/cycles - I took it before conceiving my other (two) pregnancies. This pregnancy was a bit of a surprise to be honest - we did actively try, but I thought we wouldn't succeed until I saw the GP for some medication, which I hadn't got round to doing yet (this was cycle one after we'd made the decision)! It should have been much, much harder to conceive than it actually was, as I have both PCOS and endometriosis and wasn't on metformin or anti-inflammatories!

First time BFP, first time poster! Finally got a BFP on Monday after IVF. One fresh transfer ended in failure in Feb, first FET has now resulted in positive test. I am 4+3, trying to keep my feet on the ground as I know things aren’t always easy but after 3 years TTC I am hoping this is a sticky one! I’m feeling pretty awful already (apparently a good sign) sore boobs but biggest things are AF type cramps (up in the night!) and bad nausea! Luckily I hybrid work, but don’t know how I’m going to go into the office when I feel so bad!

Kirstylvsya · 28/06/2023 19:59

The tiredness baddddd. Had a 2 hour nap this afternoon and am back in bed now at 8pm.

Anyone got early scans booked? If so how many weeks will you be?

GoingToInfinity · 28/06/2023 20:03

@W88 congratulations! You must be over the moon. Here's to hoping you symptoms settle a little for you.

Poppins2016 · 28/06/2023 20:24

I keep waking at 4.30(ish) am sweating and hot, then struggle to get back to sleep again (if I'm lucky and my 1.5 year old doesn't wake up)... I ended up having a nap on the sofa at lunch today! Justified, I reckon... 🤣

Poppins2016 · 28/06/2023 20:24

@W88 congratulations, you must be thrilled! 🌸

W88 · 28/06/2023 20:25

Thanks @GoingToInfinity, I hope so too, however to be honest it’s nice to feel something as it’s a nice reminder that something is happening😅your BFP is coming along nicely - wishing you all the best!
@Kirstylvsya my first scan is booked for 6+5 due to IVF, I know it’s longer wait normally!

KatY9876 · 28/06/2023 20:30

@Poppins2016 I am waking up during the night and I'm hot too but I do get back to sleep. Up to bathroom a few times overnight. I thought it was maybe just me as I am up early somedays for work at 5am. But not this week as on lates so working till Midnight. X

PR96 · 28/06/2023 20:37

@Poppins2016 @KatY9876 I'm also waking at stupid o'clock boiling hot and unable to go back to sleep! It's awful, especially when I then have to walk 40 mins to work for 7:30 and don't get home again till 6:30.. I'm so tired and barely even 4 weeks!

GoingToInfinity · 28/06/2023 20:39

I also keep waking through the night. I've been having very weird an intense dreams too. I only took a test today (even though I was going to wait until AF was due) was because I had such a vivid dream I was pregnant I couldn't get back to sleep.
My first and main symptom with DH was exhaustion. I went to bed at 7pm every night for weeks with him,

BraveHeart91 · 28/06/2023 20:42

i no it might sound abit gross but is anyone having trouble going a number 2 then it goes the opposite way and u can’t stop going a number 2?

BraveHeart91 · 28/06/2023 20:44

@Kirstylvsya i have a scan on Monday from the early pregnancy unit at the hospital and we have put 6 week scan on the Saturday which we booked when we found out so we don’t kno if to cancel the private one and move it forward.

Yep! Damn hormonal changes! My children have both had D&V bugs in the last week or so and the nausea/loose bowel motions have been a little disconcerting at times!

Ivylo · 28/06/2023 22:01

Hi everyone I’m a little late on this post but I had to comment as I’ve just found out I’m pregnant! According to my maths I’m due March 3rd. Have been trying for almost 2 years and found out I have pcos last year so I’m pretty stoked to find out I’m pregnant as I thought it would never happen! This will be my third if all goes well, youngest is 6 and eldest 7.
I’ve got some noticeable symptoms this time I’m shattered all day, sore boobs and slight nausea and pretty dopey 😂

LokiCat · 28/06/2023 23:26

Hi all! Can I join? TTC #2 for about 10 months, even got some tests started end of May then ended up getting my BFP at 10dpo!! Due 2nd March 2024.

I have no symptoms whatsoever, which is terrifying, but trying to remind myself that it was the same last time, apart from boobs being slightly sore. We did a scan at around 8/9 weeks last time, so think I'll book similar this time, otherwise I'll drive myself crazy waiting till the 12 weeks one!

LokiCat · 28/06/2023 23:27

@BraveHeart91 I keep getting that! Mix of constipation and then 'loose bowels' (god sorry) on the same day!! Not fun!

L0uise35 · 28/06/2023 23:27

I'm also waking around the 4.30 mark. Roasting, sweating and restless legs. It's a long day then.

BudgetBuster · 28/06/2023 23:28

Congratulations @LokiCat Doesn't 12 weeks just feel bonkers long?

namechanged241 · 28/06/2023 23:57

Hi just joining here, can anyone help me figure out my due date/how many weeks I am? My Lmp started 21st May and that particular cycle was 35 days long

KatY9876 · 29/06/2023 00:17

@namechanged241 hello using a online calculator you will be due 3rd March. X

Hopefulhoney6 · 29/06/2023 05:37

@namechanged241 do you know when you ovulated? How do you know your cycle was 35 days if you got a BFP? Just going off LMP (adding 280 days) it would be 25th Feb. If you ovulated 11th June (14 days before end of 35 day cycle) then it would be 4th March. NHS will do it based off LMP and then date based off size at 12 week scan.

GoingToInfinity · 29/06/2023 06:13

Test this morning was no stronger than yesterday (although I did see the line sooner I think). Haven't stopped peeing all of yesterday, nor have I really slept.
I know frequent urination can be a pregnancy symptom, but I also get it right before my period. Can't help but feel this pregnancy might be over before it really began again.

eightieskid · 29/06/2023 06:29

@GoingToInfinity if your test has a line, that's all you need. It won't always necessarily be a stronger line each day as you may be a little dehydrated and you urine less concentrated today. This happened to me this time and in the end I stopped testing, waited a few days and got a strong line. It's hard though.

Congratulations @W88 and @namechanged241! Welcome!

I've woken up feeling nauseous, as I did yesterday and I'm having this massive dread as I had horrific sickness with my first (every day, all day and night until the day after she was born) and it started at 5 weeks, which is where I am now. It's taken us 5 years to try again and this was one of (not the only) reason for not being ready to go back to this place again, physically and mentally as it got me down really bad last time as I felt so ill constantly. Really hoping it doesn't go like that this time!

Hopefulhoney6 · 29/06/2023 06:53

@Kirstylvsya Im having a scan at 7+1 with my consultant for Ashermans syndrome. However, I had one at 7 last week and found it was a MMC so I’d always do it. And then will do Harmony Test at 10w.

LokiCat · 29/06/2023 08:03

@BudgetBuster thank you! Congratulations to you too! Sorry I haven't read the full thread, will this be your first?
I know! I found the first trimester dragged so much last time and feeling the same now (already!).

Has everyone self referred to the hospital of their choice? Waiting for my booking in appointment!
